I’ve had the NIU KQi100P for about a month now and I’m genuinely impressed. This thing is a joy to ride. It feels solid and well-built, with a smooth, responsive throttle and surprisingly good suspension for a scooter in this price range. I use it every day for my 8-mile round-trip commute through the city, and it handles traffic, potholes, and light hills without any drama. What stands out: • Range & battery: I’m consistently getting 30–38 miles per charge in real-world mixed riding (some hills, stop-and-go traffic, average 15-17 mph). That’s more than enough for my needs and beats what I expected. • Build quality: The frame feels premium, the tires have good grip, and the brakes (disc front and rear) are strong and progressive. The digital display is clear even in bright sunlight. • Portability: It folds easily and isn’t too heavy to carry up a couple flights of stairs when needed. For the price, this scooter is an absolute steal. I looked at several other brands in the same category and the NIU KQi100P offers better components, nicer finish, and more reliable performance. It’s perfect for commuters or anyone who wants a fun, practical, and eco-friendly way to get around without spending a fortune. A couple of very minor notes (not really complaints): the horn is a bit quiet in heavy traffic, and the rear fender could be a tad wider to better block spray in rain — but these are small things and haven’t stopped me from riding it almost daily. I've never owned an electric scooter before. We were looking at some for our 9 year old daughter when I thought it might be fun to have my wife and I join her and make it a family thing. I bought my daughter a different brand and when looking for ours I was nervous tbh. I already soooo many reviews on a bunch of different scooters. I found myself on Reddit asking for advice when I noticed a trend ... Most everyone was saying this was the best scooter for the cost. I was hesitant to pull the trigger but decided while on sale let's give it a shot. I ordered two one for myself and one for my wife. They say in my closet for about a month and the entire time I kept coming back reading reviews wondering if I would have charging issues or battery issues etc. On Xmas eve we popped them open and to my relief they charged just fine (quicker then I thought they would) the app wasn't hard to use and when it was time to go out and use them....oh man what a blast. These were definitely worth the purchase. They are durable, the suspension was great, it picked up speed quick and maintained it well. Our neighbor also has a few inclines that I was a bit concerned about, but was able to hit almost top speed up the hill. For reference I'm 5'9 170 ibs and my wife is 5'3 120. ... show more

Absolute garbage

This Niu scooter is absolute garbage. I ordered one, it came to be, I used it 1 day, and no crash or anything, and while I was on my way to the train for work, the entire bracket that holds the brake lever snapped and was unable. I had to put it in the car and walk. I called and they sent me a replacement one, and 1 week after getting It, it started giving me an error. I called and they said "do this to fix it" and I did it. Right after that, I started getting a new error, followed by the old error. Called the actual manufacture and they said I would have to send it to them and a minimum of 3 weeks before they would send it back. Nope, I'm returning it for a refund. That's 2 scooters in less than 30 days that are broken with normal commuting from the train to my office and then back to the train and to my car. No crashes, no crazy terrain, just flat city streets and bike lanes for a 1/2 mile each way. I would stay away from this brand. ... show more

It's really good, me ha aguantado bumpy roads and it goes a nice speed. I only wish the handle had like a little stick or something cuz sometimes when im going at 28mhp is hard to keep pulling to go forward as my hands get sweaty :D Weight is good not too heavy and easy to use

Great for what it is. Short battery life & it’s the slowest scooter I’ve owned. I’m 6ft, 200lbs but Great Build Quality & I knew it was entry level & expected the performance I received. The bell is a piece of crap that fell off within the first week & I changed the only popped tire, the back to airless. I’m handy and have worked on scooters before but if your not, changing any tire will be a pain. The app is useless imo & it doesn’t log total miles which is a bummer. I believe it will hold resell & agree, it’s the best entry level scooter you can buy and almost perfect. ... show more

You'll notice the charger is the only thing in the picture. That's because that is the only part of this purchase I ever see. My daughter is on it right now, hints the missing scooter! I bought two of these. One for my daughter(11) and one for me step daughter (13). They LOVE them! They are constantly on them, so I never see the scooter unless it needs to be charged! These scooters have cruise control, a headlight, and three speed modes allowing you to set a speed you don't want your kids to go over. You can pair it to the app on your phone, which allows you to track your scooter and lock it in case of theft. It's not super light, but it's not too heavy either. It's solid. Both kids have wrecked, one of which was spectacular, and the scooters barely scuffed. Kids fine, don't worry. Battery life all depends on the kind of riding you're doing. If you're going full out in an area with a lot of hills, you'll get about an hour and a half. Flat ground at more reserved speeds, about 3 hours. I am really impressed with this scooter. 10/10 recommend if you are looking for an electric scooter for kids, or even for adults as a recreational item. ... show more

Update- 11/21/24 The button is now gone and is now very hard to turn the scooter on. When I was riding home the scooter turned off as I was going 15 or so mph and essentially crashed. I sent NIU messages about replacing the throttle a few days after having the scooter. It’s been over a month and the only answer I got was that they don’t have that part in stock, nor do they know when it will come in. They told me I have to wait. I am returning this scooter, with damage as it was caused by a faulty throttle. I do expect a full refund. Definitely a step above the average starter scooter. Build quality is pretty solid, smooth ride with the new front suspension, the power is decent although would be nice to have it max out at 20mph instead of 17. Cons- the brakes are a bit loud, the angle of the stem crowds the deck a lot, they moved the display from the middle to the bar, the new display with the half twist throttle is cruddy. I’ve only had it for 2 days and the power button is already falling apart. It’s like it’s made out of eraser type material. See pictures. I sent 2 emails to NUI about the button but no reply. The rubber handles bars get sticky quickly and I can tell they will start to fall apart. And the scooter beeps with every single thing you do. I wish they allowed you to turn it off or down. It isn’t always needed. Battery doesn’t last very long I have noticed also . The app is pretty good. ... show more

Sturdy, dependable, great quality, long lasting

We bought 2 (one for each boy) of the NIU electric scooter with the suspension. Love this electric scooter. We drive it on gravel and it handles amazingly. The motor is great. This thing is fast! It has two modes. E and S. One is a little slower than the other. The best scooters around, and we have driven quite a few. Battery life is great. Weight is perfect, if it was lighter it wouldn’t be made as well. I have two boys and they have drove them steadily through rain puddles and down a 1/2 mile gravel lane a couple times a week not including all our camping trips we have had this past year. We have had them and rode them regularly for approximately 9 months and they are still amazing, very durable and strong. Also I love the sturdiness of the charger and port and the location, it’s perfect, not easy to damage. ... show more
