  • My son approves!!! He loves getting around campus on it
Color: Gray Size: K200P - 700W/20MPH/33.6Mi
Bought my son a scooter for college to get around on campus. (**Note** Not this company)That unit became a nightmare along with the company. It was the biggest piece of junk. I ended buying my son another unit this is where the NIU comes in. I did some research and NIU had a lot of amazing reviews on Google, Reddit and of course Amazon. We get the unit WOW!!!! What a difference compared to the one I ordered before. Super solid!!! It has a lot of safety features such as turn signals and lights. My son says that the suspension is great, it’s pretty much a smooth ride. The speed is on point (probably goes faster than this momma likes 😬). The design is good with a wide board to stand on. The unit folds up and makes it easy to load up inside of his truck. Weight is a little heavy but like I said this unit is solid so no complaints. This unit functions exactly the way the reviews I read prior to buying. Totally happy and so is my son. ... show more

  • Great idea and mileage, but build quality could be better
Color: Gray Size: K200P - 700W/20MPH/33.6Mi
There's a lot to take in about this scooter. It's very easy to balance on it, even with a backpack. It goes relatively fast at 18-20mph. The regen brakes are super efficient at slowing down, and the app lets you pick from low-high and off. It folds up well, though I'm not the biggest fan of it locking the stem to a plastic piece on the rear wheel fender, which is also plastic. The overall build quality is pretty good, though there are some aspects that I wish would be improved given the scooter's price. The size and weight are pretty good and make it relatively easy to carry around or pack in your car. Super easy to assemble right out of the box. Here's where it's not so great though: - Slow, 6hr charge time for full charge. Granted, it's designed to go 20-30 miles, so it's not that bad. - The power button and some trim pieces feel very low quality, especially given the higher price - The app is required in order for you to make any changes to speed and other settings; though, it also lets you change speed profiles here and limit the scooter to specific acceleration/speed/braking - Out of the box, the drum brake on the front is alright, though I do wish it was more linear. Riding around, I found myself setting the regen brakes to a higher setting due to the drum brake not being effective enough in case I needed to brake quickly. Overall, it's a solid scooter. But, having tried out a couple others in a lower price category, the only thing that makes this better is the range over them, quality being sub-par. I'd just say it's not the best value for your money. Edit 2 months in: Still great, have tried in less ideal conditions and it works well. Have tried with a bit of snow and rain and it just pushes through without losing too much grip. I do wish it folded down a bit more at the handles, as it's ever so slightly too inconvenient to fit in the trunk of my car ... show more

Color: Gray Size: K200P - 700W/20MPH/33.6Mi
Great quality and really worth it the price for daily commute. Easy to set up and everything has been good so far. Very easy to ride and maneuver, speed does go up to 20mph, weight is a bit on the heavier side, but battery life has been great while using it every day so far. Also very heavy duty and headlight definitely helps at night. ... show more

  • Zippy
Color: Gray Size: K200P - 700W/20MPH/33.6Mi
This is a great scooter, perfect for daily commuting. Unpacking this was surprisingly uncomplicated, and there was almost no assembly required. I had to connect a cable between the top piece and the shaft, and then screw them together, and that was it. Though, to be fair, connecting the cable wasn't called out in the instructions, and might not have been obvious as it was tucked away inside of the shaft itself. After assembling, I plugged it in and downloaded the app. Setting up the app was done in less than a minute as I signed in and paired the scooter. The app itself is easy to use and provides a lot of helpful functions once paired to the scooter (e.g. locking, tracking rides, etc.). The cover on the power connector was a little difficult to get off, but I imagine that will loosen up with time, and it annoys me a bit that the power connector is proprietary; I would have prefered they just used something like XT60 so that I could easily provide my own power source. But those are extremily minor nits to pick. Riding this is a joy. The throttle is instantaneous, and the scooter itself is quite zippy, even for someone who, like me, is right up against the recommended weight limit. I'm not used to riding something this fast while standing up, but after a few minutes it came as naturally as riding a bike. ... show more

  • Awesome scooter! Instructions fortget to mention required green plug inside handle bars/stem. Awesome scooter! Instructions fortget to mention required green plug inside handle bars/stem.
Color: Gray Size: K200P - 700W/20MPH/33.6Mi
The instructions do not tell you to plug in a vital cord inside the stem/handlebars of the scooter! Missing this will make the scooter not work! This is my only issue with this product. I think this is likely only going to be an issue for people who have never put together an e-scooter before, but it seems the instructions kind of think this step is so well known that it isn't mentioned. This one cord connects the controller on the handlebars to the rest of the scooter, you cannot power it on without this! The cord was folded up inside the main stem on one side, and the other side folded up inside the handlebar stem. You must pull them out on each side, connect the cables together, and after that can you actually attach and the handlebars and tighten down the connecting screws. If you don't do this first, you'll have to undo all those screws to pull the handlebars back off and do this. Ask me how I know.... My second photo shows green lines representing where the cord will be INSIDE the scooter stem, and the red arrow is where you'll have to take it apart to reach it if you miss this plug. This is the first scooter for my wife and I, and I will say we absolutely love it! I weigh 220lbs, and this thing has no problems moving me around, and quick might I add. Our area is a bit more flat overall, so I haven't been able to see how it'll deal with hills for me. When I'm riding around I tend to go a bit quicker with it than my wife, and I'm also significantly heavier, so the scooter's range has been around the 24 miles for me. But I tend to charge often and haven't gone all the way to empty in one go, so this is an estimate. I'm riding around with a huge smile on my face like a kid again and having a blast, so I don't mind the fact I'm not getting as many miles as my wife sees while using it. I definitely suggest using their app, even though it isn't required. The main thing for us that makes a difference is being able to reduce down the regenerative breaking strength, acceleration strength, and top speed. While most people will probably use this to make the scooter more aggressive, for us it showed its use in being able to make the scooter more tame for my wife. My wife has difficulties when it comes to fine motor control movements. The default settings felt felt jerky for her due to her own limitations, so adjusting things down made it much easier for her to use it comfortably without it responding too fast to any small accidental inputs from her. Second, being able to set a max charge percent on the battery, which should help extend the battery lifetime by not letting it charge to 100%. ... show more

  • Incredibly smooth ride but I'm the heavier side weight wise Incredibly smooth ride but I'm the heavier side weight wise
Color: Gray Size: K200P - 700W/20MPH/33.6Mi
We ordered this mainly for Usage around our 12 acre property and for checking the mail about half a mile down the road. However, I also ended up attempting to use it for work. The scooter is exceptionally sturdy and maintains its speed even with a rider at near maximum weight limit. My son is 6'2" and 240 pounds and the scooter supports him well. I am 165 and 5'5" tall and it fits me well as well. So, it is suitable for various height ranges. The standing platform is far more sturdy than any scooter we have- And we've owned about six scooters. It also is incredibly smooth when riding on all surfaces. The suspension does an amazing job of absorbing bumps and shock. It also does well in light splashing, although that's not recommended. We've ridden it after the rain with no issue. However, we have not ridden it in the rain. Set up was super easy. Packaging was amazing! They covered every inch of the scooter so there were no scuffs or scratches. Even the handlebar handles had plastic on them. You simply pull the scooter out and attach the handlebars with the provided screws. After that, you'll scan the QR code to download the app and it'll walk you through a safety video. It's worth noting that the scooter will not turn on until you plug it in and do the safety video. These are both things you have to do in order to activate it. The app is simple to use. It downloaded quickly and walks you through the process of setting it up. You can do everything in the app from tracking its recent speed, checking its charge, and setting the alarm or tracking the scooter. It's also pretty easy to switch it between kilometers per hour and miles per hour. Folding is super easy, you just un-click the button on the front and fold the handle down. As noted before, I ATTEMPTED to use this for work but portability is not great. If you're super strong and have a pretty large trunk, I would consider this portable.....But it weighs around 50 pounds, making it heavy compared to other scooters. I believe that's because of how sturdy and well-made it is. I drive a 2025 Prius and it does fit in the back of my trunk but I have to put it at an angle. If you have an SUV, it would fit with no problem. The reason for my one star reduction is the light. While the light looks really cool on the front of the scooter, it is not great at night. I've established the ring light design lights up more of the area above and around you rather than the roadway in front of you. For me, the roadway in front of me is important because I want to see what kind of bumps or potential hazards might cause me to wreck the scooter. The light doesn't do a good job of this. I have tried angling it down but it only angles so far down before hitting the plastic that mount it. So, I'm going to invest in a bike light to put on the front of it. Overall, super happy with the scooter. It's durable, sturdy, quick and provides an excellent smooth ride. ... show more
