    • versatile and easy to use for home kitchen
I got this as a replacement for a Paco jet for a home kitchen. While Paco Jet is an amazing machine, it's really built for commercial kitchens and isn't that practical for the typical home cook. The Ninja Creami has been great so far. 1. It's easy to use. All the components click in place with minimal assembly. The control settings are intuitive. You freeze your product in individual pint containers which can be placed directly into the mixing container of the machine, and then can be used to dispense if you are making soft serve and want to extrude it through a nozzle. 2. It's fast. A full spin takes 4 minutes, re-spinning takes 1-2 minutes. You don't have to plan your dessert in advance, and it stays pretty close to the temperature at which is was pulled from the freezer. 3. Clean up is easy. The containers are all dishwasher safe, although I find it easier to hand wash some of the special purpose lids. The parts of the machine that come into contact with the ice cream product are also easy to wipe down after use. Be advised that this machine is loud, but anything that is spinning ice cream at high velocity is going to be. The quality of the product itself depends on your recipe. There are many ideas and recipes available online, or you can play around with your own. I have used it with milk/cream based ice creams, frozen custards, non-dairy ice cream using coconut milk, frozen yogurt, and sorbets. It's great for soft serve type consistencies (which I tend to favor), but also can create scoopable consistencies pretty easily. Note that it doesn't produce hard "packed" ice cream consistency unless you refreeze after spinning. If that's what you're after, you might be better off with more traditional churn type of ice cream maker. Since the Ninja Cremi can produce good results over a fairly wide range of sugar and fat contents, it allows you to customize macro nutrients. And of course like any home made ice cream you have complete control of flavor elements. I have not yet tried to use it for emulsification of things that are not some form of frozen dessert, like sauces. In theory it seems it should be able to do this but I can't say for sure. ... show more

Nice presentation but. I believe was ice cream maker is over $ most to be 150.00 you have to do everything I'm very sad for the brand. Is like blender whit the shapes no value for money for now is the toy for my kids. Thanks.
