I bought the Ninja coffee maker for the programmable feature. It really makes good, hot coffee and is easy to program. I got the 14 cup size since we make a pot every morning and pour it into a thermal carafe to drink throughout the day where it stays very hot. It is easy to make less if desired but nice to have the option for more. It looks great on my counter, does not take up too much space and can be pushed under the cabinets after brewing. I brew it on the rich cycle which makes a delicious and smooth cup of rich coffee, not at all bitter. I have found that I can use less coffee, six level scoops for twelve cups, than in our previous coffee maker, saving us money. The included attached scoop is very handy. I drink my coffee black and I do not like weak coffee so I am very happy with this ratio. The sprayer head evenly moistens the grounds so there aren't any dry spots in the basket. The higher temperature really extracts the most flavor from the beans. I program it at night so I do not have to wait for the coffee to be made. I do use the paper filters rather than the included gold filter, personal preference, since our coffee is finely ground and I do not want any bits of coffee in my mug. I haven't even tried the gold filter, so it may work perfectly. I plan to clean it monthly since we are using good well water rather than filtered water, which is recommended. The cleaning process is simple and it has a cleaning cycle. I use white vinegar as recommended. Daily I rinse out the carafe, filter basket and water container and leave them upside down to drain which another reviewer recommended. I want to take good care of this machine since we value good coffee. I did get the 4 year warranty since I know coffee makers don't last too long. Hopefully this Ninja will hold up!

Did someone say it makes HOT coffee? Watch out for that first sip if you're not used to HOT coffee! I've had 4 similar Brand X (starts with "C" and doesn't make HOT coffee) with which I've been perfectly happy the first two years of use after which they decide to inconveniently dump their water all over the counter, down your cabinets and onto the floor - sometimes mentioned in their reviews. Not a particularly happy thing to find at 5am let alone no coffee either. After my post mortem analysis, I find this is due to a long-standing design/materials/assembly application issue negatively effecting Brand X's reliability (not be confused with their quality which is OK). To be fair, Brand X pot #4 was a slightly more robust version of this product line and did not do this waterfall thing - but it did stop making coffee properly at 16 months old (and it was more expensive). Plus, it's impossible to not drip from Brand X's carafes. So, I've put the past brand-loyalty behind me and moved on to Ninja to see how it does ( I have a Ninja blender which is fine). Anyway, so far so good. I like the consistently non-dripping carafe better (if you pour from it correctly) as well as the water filling process (which some folks don't like). Coffee output seems no different than Brand X's other than being cooler but it does require a tad more coffee/less water to match the bold/rich setting of Brand X's. At this point I can't speak to reliability (lifetime), of course, but we'll just have to wait and see about that. Quality is good. Controls are good. Footprint is good. Price is good. (Edit a few weeks later: If you prefer your skin being intact between your thumb and wrist , watch out for the carafe's internal tabs that grasp the lid. They bite if you reach inside and rotate your hand to wash or dry. Ask me how I know... OTOH, still liking this Ninja over Brand X!)

The carafe absolutely does NOT drip, maybe I was lucky but I just did not have that problem like a lot if reviews say. it's such a breeze to use the machine and carafe. Makes delicious coffee. Looks sleek and beautiful. My only two complaints which are not bad enough to took a star were: you can't put the water in tank all the way because it uses all during one brew so you have to pour required amount for 1-4 cup (ify you want 2 cups fill it up to 2 cups line, if you want 4, fill it up to 4 line)or it does not stop by itself after it fills to your desired amount. Second we are two person household and the carafe is too large for both of us and you cannot use any other container. But i love the carafe and cleaning is easy so that's okay. Edit: 3 months and going strong! This product honestly deserves at least 4.5 stars, the taste of coffee is awesome and more delicious than any other machines I have tried, cleaning is still a breeze, and carafe still absolutely does NOT drip or leak when pouring or standing. I just love my beautiful machine and recommend to everyone! Almost a year edit: I still love my machine! Same quality, still no dripping! I don't use it often lately because been craving more espresso than filter coffee, and prefer cold brew but it's always there waiting for me ready to serve!

I have read some of the recent reviews about this coffee maker failing soon after the purchase.I had read in a newspaper article this was one of the best budge coffee makers to buy. So, I purchased mine at the end of November, 2024. I really enjoyed the coffee and thought I had finally had a coffee pot that made good coffee. We did not use it much over the holidays as we were away on holiday. It worked great in January and had no reason to send it back when the return date just went past Jan. 31, 2025. Well guess what? Two weeks after that Jan. 31 deadline for return date, the coffee pot died. I kept on getting error messages and no matter what I did, it no longer worked. I tried and tied to figure out what to do but nothing worked. I have had numerous coffee pots in the last 50 years. Never have I had a coffee pot that died in just less than 2 months- never!!!!~ I wish there was some way I could get my money back or at least have the company replace the one I have. It seems the company has had issues with this pot since others have written with the exact same problem.

Best coffee maker this octogenarian has ever owned! Ninja is attractive, superbly designed/engineered, and constructed. Makes tastiest home-brewed coffee—I like rich brew feature. Big NYC newspaper gave 12-cup Ninja an excellent/best pick rating for this price-point. I chose 14-cup b/c of its narrower, but deeper footprint to fit my space. I read reviews, saw comments about pouring problems and leaks. After a month’s experience w/appliance, this is what I learned. To avoid leaks, all parts must be precisely seated in place: the water reservoir, coffee basket, and carafe. Water reservoir leaked one day (after many days of brewing w/no leaks) b/c I had moved coffee maker and dislodged reservoir. Coffee basket also must be firmly in place to drip into hole in carafe cover. Both reservoir and basket have spring mechanisms to control flow (look at bottom) and must be properly/firmly inserted to prevent leaks. Carafe, when filled to capacity, is heavy and this could cause pouring problem for some users. I brew only 10 cups and had no pouring problem. Takes about 14 min, yes, some steam and gurgle, but no more than my old Braun. I leave reservoir in place, fill w/jug, put dishtowel over steam vents to avoid cabinet damage. After unpacking (very carefully-packaged), I let it air out. Ran water thru daily for a week til odor dissipated. I think odor may be from adhesive rather than plastic parts. It will dissipate and not affect brew if you air and run just water several times before brewing coffee first time. Has auto-shutoff, keep-warm feature, and is programmable, however, I plug/unplug w/each use. It is the hottest—steaming hot—coffee I have enjoyed! Very content w/this purchase! And, if needed, replacement carafe and other parts are available at Ninja website. What’s not to like?

We had a basic 12 cup coffee pot previously that lasted us over 3 years. When that one finally bit the dust, I decided to step up the coffee game a little by going with Ninja because I've had a great experience with several of their products over the years, including a coffee station I had back in 2017. I purchased the 14 cup carafe so my husband and I would both get 2 full mugs (we have jumbo mugs) instead of 1 1/5 each. This coffee maker is faster than the previous one, which is great because the coffee seems a little hotter than the old one got by the time I get up each morning. I can see how people who have a cabinet above their coffee maker would be slightly off put by the top design of the coffee filter bay, having to lift it up and out instead of a side swing hinge. That would be an improvement I think. My BIGGEST concern is EVERY TIME we pour coffee, it gets all over the counter. We are not noobs at this game, we've been pouring coffee for many years lol and have adjusted how we pour, the angle of our pour, etc and still find the spout on the carafe must be a flawed design. The spout seems too wide and shallow, and it leaks down the cup, down the pot, and onto the counter. If the spout had a deeper and more defined groove, I think it would direct more coffee into my cup where I want it. 😄

This coffee maker is literally the best coffee maker ever made. Here is everything I love about this coffee maker that you can’t always find in other coffee makers. The fact this coffee maker consists of these three qualities sets it above the rest. 1) Removable water reservoir. This is a must for me! This makes filling up the coffee maker so easy and drip free. It also eliminates the step of filling up the carafe with water and then pouring it into the coffee maker which always spilled water when I did it. With the removable water reservoir you only have to fill it up and then set it back into the coffee maker. It’s impossible to spill water this way. 2) Makes 14 cups of coffee instead of the standard 12. And added perk! The more coffee, the better! 3) Pours without any dripping. We’ve had coffee makes that always make a mess when pouring the carafe. This one has an enclosed design that prevents that 100%. The coffee maker also has the functions we expect in a coffee maker: programmable timer, can fill up a cup mid-brew without coffee dripping, glass carafe so you can see how much you have left, & coffee strength settings. I have absolutely have no complaints or cons about this coffee maker. In my opinion, it’s easy, mess-free, & of high quality. it’s perfect!

I was needing to replace my Cuisinart Digital coffeemaker that was a total disappointment the entire 2 years I had it. I researched the 14 cup coffeemakers and gambled on this one. Being skeptical at first and not sure I was going to keep it if anything bugged me about it due to my previous one. It’s easy to use. The pot pours nicely, no dribbles. It’s easy to program. The temperature setting on the warming plate is adjustable which is good. You can change the length of time it stays warm as well. Overall this is a great coffeemaker. The only negative is the pot seems to stain. I have to scrub harder to keep the pot looking new but that’s not really an issue. Coffee stains so I can deal. I recommend this product so far. I’ve had it for a month so time works lol tell but I am happy with my purchase. Update It didn’t even last a year. Started leaking very bad. Not worth the money or the hassle.
