We have been using this little guy almost everyday for smoothies and almond milk, almost 6 months now. At this point we have really gotten our money's worth. I'd say we are heavy users. It works beautifully still to this day and no dull blades yet, but overall, the containers (mostly) and blades are already showing some wear. It is powerful and loud as any blender with 1000 watts. Crushes ice, fruits, nuts, and vegetables in a breeze. Pushing and holding the blender's container down is easy. You push to pulse 2-3 times to break up the large pieces so not to cause damage to the blade or unit and hold continuously thereafter about 30-40 seconds (or longer if you choose) to get a great smoothie. So far we are happy with our purchase. The way we use our machine, I'd say we may need to replace the containers soon. I would recommend to those looking for a smaller unit to make quick smoothies on the go. It doesn't replace a full size blender, nor a food processor as it is an extractor, not a blender, but, it can still do a lot. You can create many things such as sauces, soups, juices, nut milks, smoothies, frozen drinks, etc. It comes with a good size recipe book with some great inspirational ideas to get started. We use our unit specifically for smoothies on the go and producing almond milk. The clean up is a breeze, especially for those busy mornings. A very handy, useful product. Best part about this product is the power. Frozen fruit, Ice, Powders not sticking to the sides. OK...The size of the containers are big (wide) smaller hands will have a problem tightening (and moreso opening) the cup when blending. Also, with the mouth of the cups being so wide we cannot use a glass rinser to power thru the bottom of the cups (theat filmyness than start the second you finish your drink, pour out the cup, but the width allows for easier hand cleaning which is a plus. Negative...It does not stay blending unless you are holding it down. WIth the Magic Bullet you could walk away while blending. This you need to stay and hold. Works quick enough but you would think a lockin system wouldnt be that difficult to add on. Overall a solid product with a higher than average price point, but still worth the purchase. ... show more

I bought this to replace the larger Ninja Series I which I never used all the extra attachments. This one also handles ice cubes for smoothies like a champ. It is NOT as LOUD as the previous Ninja set I had (and we love that!). I highly recommended this one if your primary use is for smoothies etc.
