Description

Move beyond the smartphone camera vibe and take your video quality to the next level. The Nikon Z 30 mirrorless 4K digital camera is a user-friendly upgrade with a cinematic look and feel, spectacular video quality and features designed for creators, influencers, and streamers. TechRadar rated it a Best Camera For Vlogging, calling it “A compact and intuitive tool for novice vloggers.” The Z 30 is the smallest camera in Nikon’s Z series, so it’s easy to use handheld or on a tabletop tripod. It has a flip-out screen with touchscreen control to ensure you’re always in frame, along with a convenient smartphone app that lets you control the camera remotely. This two lens kit has you covered from every angle, with the NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR wide-angle zoom lens and NIKKOR Z 50-250mm f/4.5-6.3 VR telephoto zoom lens. Choose the wide-angle lens for everyday vlogging and street photography and the telephoto zoom lens when you want to get closer shots from far away. Both lenses have powerful image stabilization to keep your shots steady. Fast, reliable autofocus with several AF Area Modes can adjust to the quick shifts in detail found in unboxing videos, how-to’s, gaming streams, video tours, and tutorials. Plus, with eye-detection autofocus, the Z 30 can automatically track the eyes and faces of humans, cats or dogs and keep focus right where you want it. If the Z 30 is your entryway into Nikon Z series products, rest assured you can upgrade your lenses or add an external mic along the way to boost the quality of your content. To help you make that step, Nikon also offers a Creator’s Accessory Kit for Z 30 with a tripod grip, external microphone and Bluetooth remote control (sold separately). When you buy from a Nikon Authorized Dealer, you also get the peace of mind of a limited one-year warranty from Nikon Inc.

  • Love this camera!
Style: w/ Lens Set: Body + 16-50mm + 50-250mm Lens
I am thoroughly enjoying this camera. I bought it for a trip to Oregon and I am so happy I did! This camera takes great, crisp photos. It has great color and the different lens allows for different views, close up and far away. I mainly used the larger lens for the landscape pictures and I use the smaller lens for portrait and family photos. It wasn't too heavy to carry around my neck. The only issue I have is with the battery charging capability. For some reason, it takes FOREVER to charge the battery using the USB option. I ended up purchasing another battery and standalone battery charger for this. I had taken it with me to Arizona, forgetting the other battery, but remembering the USB. Somehow, the battery was completely drained (despite the camera being off for the trip). I plugged the phone in with the USB and even after 5 hours, there was ZERO charge on the battery. I ended up having to use my phone for the whole trip. So, if you get this camera, I do suggest purchasing an extra battery/battery charger. I haven't really tested all the other functions as I had just received the camera but after reading the instruction manual and watching a youtube, I see that it has many different functions that can enhance pictures and that is another thing I love about this camera. I am very happy with this purchase! ... show more

  • [UPDATED] Affordable step-up from iPhone 14 pro & Sony ZV-E10 - for vlog & streaming
Style: w/ Lens Set: Body + 16-50mm + 50-250mm Lens
My interest in camera began with my iPhone 11 few yrs back and upgraded to 14 pro but soon realized its limitations while vlogging as I've to settle for front camera instead of mighty rear camera. Z30 steps-up game significantly with more control on picture quality than a smartphone for video and Elgato facecam for streaming. Invest some time in learning the basics of picture composition (which's same for all camera brands) since it's a one-time investment to unleash full potential of this little Swiss army knife semi-pro camera. Youtube has very good tutorials on basics. Drawbacks and easy fixes: 1) overheating while streaming: 4k overheats regardless of fps. Fortunately, 1080p 50fps is not overheating and can run as long as I need with Elgato 4k camlink. 1080p quality is fantastic ! Not missing 4k due to its crazy recording file sizes filling-up hard-drives quickly 2)no view-finder: don't miss this as a one coming from smartphones generation 3)no audio monitor: same as above. Never needed one while vlogging thru smartphone as I test check my levels before shoot 4) crowded ports covering display: use left-angled micro HDMI and right-angled USB-c cable adapters This cam's lightweight, portability and low price overweighs these and any other limitations. Interestingly it has 11fps which's higher than its pricier full-frame Z5 bro. Mainly using this for video & streaming. UPDATED: after looking at raving reviews on Sony ZV-E10 + sigma 16mm lens, I gave it a try but had to return it back as: 1) Nikon colors are more realistic than Sony right out of cam. Each video needs post-process to get good colors on zv-e10 2) 4k 30p is not cropped on z30 which's great for vlogging. enabling electronic-VR crops a bit on z30 but is still better than zv-e10's always cropped 4k 30p 3) zv-e10 needs catalyst browser to fix vibration issues but z30 comes with decent VR built-in kit lens 4) z30 display got touch screen both for controls and auto-focus while zv-e10 is all buttons. This's great in selfie mode when we can't see back buttons. Latter feature lets me touch any object on screen to begin auto-focus on it. No issues with auto-focus so far. 5) sony+sigma setup feels bulky & heavy to hold for vlogging and bit more desk space for streaming compared to z30 with kit lens. You almost certainly feel need for gimbal with sony. z30 grip rocks ! 6) HDMI and USB-c ports are way too crowded on zv-e10 than z30. If either one of micro-hdmi or usb-c plugs are big, you're out of luck 7) tally light on z30 is killer feature! it even blinks when it gets hot or low-battery 8) nikon menu layout is lot intuitive and easier than sony 9) z30 comes weather sealed unlike zv-e10 11) audio quality on z30 is awesome 12) after all the above, paying $300+ more for outdated zv-e10+sigma lens combo didn't make sense ONLY Con this camera has compared to more recent released mirrorless cams of other brands in this budget is lack of UVC/UAC support to let us connect via USB without needing Elgato camlink and still get Z30's excellent 1080p quality streaming ... show more

  • Cheap. Doesn't even have a battery charger.
Style: w/ Lens Set: Body + 16-50mm + 50-250mm Lens
Ah, yes... Nikon's way of cheapening their gear. No battery charger. So they give you a USB-C cord so you can charge? Partly- the User's manual says both ends are USB-C but it's not. One end is a USB end. So that's another issue, because none of my apple computers has a USB port anymore. WTH, NIKON?!? So I put a USB to USB-C adapter on the cord and "Began Charging". I hooked it up to my IMAC Suite. It's only six months old, so I figure it's still a relevant computer. I had the camera hooked up to the computer for five hours. Battery did not charge. I understand this is a cheap Nikon, but really????? I just pulled out an electric outlet adapter and will try to charge by direct electrical connection. I am not pleased, as the reason I bought this camera was for travel and the ability to charge and edit with my MacBook Pro. Well, that's no longer an option because the camera won't charge on my computers. If this wall charge doesn't take, I'm returning this garbage. I should have gone with the Sony a6700. ... show more

  • What’s not to love ❤️
Style: w/ Lens Set: Body + 16-50mm + 50-250mm Lens
The media could not be loaded. Do you want to know the real reason why I got this camera? I saw a review on YouTube saying that it’s video capabilities can up sample from 6K. As a recent college grad with student loan debt just starting out in her new career, I wanted to make better quality YouTube videos & content overall without having to pay an arm & a leg. I also got the two Z mount standard zoom lenses that come in the package. I’ve tried other “cheap” off brand Z mount lenses (they aren’t optimal…invest the money in good quality ones if you can). Everything else I have now I bought separately as I learned how to use this camera more, such as a lens hood to help with the aperture (more or less light & flares). So far, so good might update this review later…byeee. -Ari 🫶🏽 ... show more

  • Nice camera for travel
Style: w/ Lens Set: Body + 16-50mm + 50-250mm Lens
I'm not a photographer and use my phone to take pictures most of the times. But when I travel, I want a nice camera to capture better pictures and this camera works perfect for that. The auto mode is good for average user, and I like the program mode which gives a fine tune on top of the auto mode. There are no EVF and IBIS which a lot of people don't like about this camera, but for the price, I really can't complain. ... show more
