Also, it introduces new in-camera features such as focus stacking and HDR PQ video recording.

Yes, the Canon EOS R6 Mark II is highly suitable for professional videography. It offers 4K video recording at up to 60p and Full HD at up to 120p for slow-motion playback. Additionally, it supports 10-bit 4:2:2 internal recording with Canon Log, making it ideal for high-quality video production needs.

While the RF24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM lens included in the kit is versatile and suitable for a range of photography genres, its maximum focal length and aperture might limit its use in wildlife photography, particularly in low-light conditions or when needing to capture distant subjects. • Amazing camera
Style: 24-105 USM Kit Set: 24-105 USM Kit
Coming from Canon 5D MK IV which has served me well for several years. I hadn't been too interested in moving to Canon's mirrorless lineup until recently. I am traveling quite a bit lately and wanted something a little smaller than my 5D MKIV with a grip and large aperture L lenses. After reading the specs and reviews of the R5 and R6 MK II, I was quite interested in both. While the R5 might be the target for serious 5D MKIV owners, personally, I felt the R6 MK II was a better fit for my needs (travel, family pictures, wildlife, etc.). I ordered the R6 MK II with the 24-105/f4L kit which just arrived today. Without reading the manual or changing any settings, I took some test pictures indoors and was instantly blown away by the images this camera produces. Super versatile, intelligent shooting modes, and with image stabilization in both the body and the lens, completely sharp pictures can be taken at very low shutter speeds. Very happy with this purchase - I honestly wasn't sure what to expect, and thought maybe I would miss the higher resolution of the R5, but since this R6 was just refreshed (and it doesn't look like a R5 MK II is going to be here anytime soon), I went with the R6 MK II and couldn't be happier. If you are like me and obsessing over specs between the different mirrorless offerings from Canon, trust the reviews and sample images. This is an amazing camera which will meet the needs of most user profiles. Don't wait, when you see a few trickle in to inventory, get one! ... show more

  • A lot of camera
Style: Body Only Set: Body
I've been using prosumer cameras for 30 years. I decided it was time to replace my 13-year old Canon 7D, and I chose the Canon R6 Mark II. I'm very happy with it. I was considering buying the R8, but when I held it, I realized it was too small to fit comfortably in my hand. (I'm just an average size guy, with average male hands.) The R6 Mark II is 1/4" taller so it fits my hand better than the R8, plus it has a better viewfinder (especially important for glasses wearers like me), plus it has in-camera image stabilization. To me, those were the features that justified the extra price. Compared to my old Canon 7D, the new R6 Mark II has *much* better focusing, better resolution (more than the extra 6 megapixels would suggest), and shoots in much lower light. With the 7D, ISO 1600 was the highest I could go if I wanted good image quality, but the R6 Mark II can easily go up to ISO 12800. Heck, even ISO 56000 works for casual use. The camera has TONS of customizations. So if you like to tinker and read user manuals, you will be in heaven. One of the cool new features is focus stacking. This lets you take a close-up picture of something and get the whole thing in perfect focus, front to back. The camera takes many individual shots, each at a slightly different focus point, and stitches them together in-camera. It works best with a completely still subject and a tripod, so I won't be using it a lot, but it is cool. I was wondering how much I would like the electronic viewfinder, and it turns out I prefer it over a "real" viewfinder that older DSLR cameras like my 7D have. The biggest benefit is at night because the viewfinder is brighter; this makes the camera easier and more fun to use. ... show more

  • Super versatile and fun to use
Style: Body Only Set: Body
Coming from a 5D Mark iii, this camera makes shooting photos like cheating. The AF makes lenses like the EF 50mm 1.2, 85mm 1.2 feels like brand new again as the AF makes focusing on the eyes super easy and tact sharp. I really didnโ€™t think I could shoot at f1.2 and get those results consistently but itโ€™s possible, it makes me rethink what aperture to use vs. The CA/sharpness Iโ€™m willing to compromise. Iโ€™m selling both of my 5D mark iii and going to decide if I want a second body as a r6 or an r5, but this camera has been nothing but a joy to use and shoot with. ... show more
