Ok, Im no expert at binoculars, so I tried out several, even went to a local sporting goods store, and almost fell over when I saw the prices, really $3200 for a pair of bino's, mind you, they were nice, but not $3100 more nice then these Nikons. These are a nice weight, the eye cups twist to adjust, easy to focus and have a nice bright view. Now I tried many brands and several powers, even zoom, I settled on these cause they seem to be good all around, wether bird watching, site seeing , or checking out the night sky. Now the lens caps are not much to talk about, but I dont even use them, I like the way the strap on the Bino's is dual porpose, ( no strap on case) , so i just keep them in the case without the lens caps. In my opinion, I dont think you could find a better pair of bino's at 10 times the price, and although I wouldn't want to lose these, it surely wouldn't hurt as bad as losing a $3200 set.. Just try them, Im sure you wont be disappointed. Highly recommend.... I like these so much, I'm even thinking of trying the same in the 10x42 power.... ... show more

I would recommend this to anybody on a budget for binoculars . Great for birding and wildlife. It was just too big and heavy for me to carry around. Also it would be hard to travel abroad with this.

Bought these for $99 but see they're now $126. I've two other pairs of older but nice binoculars and these still best them. Yes the lens caps are a bit odd but they do work and are not cheap, just a little wonky. I bought the binos though, not caps, and my squirrels, rabbits, and birds are now sharper as these provide clear, bright, and high contrast views. Easily worth $99, I'd say $126 as well. ... show more
