    • Awesome lens
Lens fit and works great

    • Excellent Camera Lens at a Great Price
This is an excellent camera lens. Good focus, excellent zoom, no visible distortion over the zoom range. Easy and quick to operate. Fits easily on my Nikon 6000. Stabilization helps. I bought it as a replacement for the same camera lens I damaged traveling. Not easy to damage. Someone slammed their luggage into my hand luggage in the overhead bin. The price on Amazon was excellent. It cost me less to buy a replacement on Amazon than Nikon bid for the repair. Plus Nikon wanted 4 weeks to do the repair, while I got the lens in one to two days. ... show more

First, I have to say that when you come to the review part, the item may have been shipped from a completely different place as the reviewers before or after you, and used vs new, as well as different things included, etc. So I will review the product only. What I received, which may be different from what you ordered, is a used lens, with the two caps, and the hood. It works great. I bought a D3200, body only, and after a lot of review reading and browsing forums, this is the lens that I chose. It's a great step up from the kit lens, and it's on the cheaper end, especially buying used. The VR is vibration reduction, and it works great for me so far. I haven't had a chance to take very many shots yet, but I will share one or two photos I took with it. I am so glad I followed some advice and didn't buy a fancy bundle with my camera that had a kit lens and a bunch of other stuff. It's way cheaper this way and you get a great lens, which is to me, the most important part. All the other stuff you can grab later and get what you want instead of being forced into having extras you may never use that you paid for. Again, these were just quicky photos taken as I was slapping it all together. I haven't used a good camera since college about 14 years ago, so bear with me on settings. This is without a tripod, and with a noticeable shake to my hand. I'm really happy with this lens. ... show more

    • A SHARP LENS THAT I AM HAPPY I BOUGHT, BUT IT DOES NOT GIVE 18mm-105mm IN MY NIKON D850
Review Image by CUSTOMER
I realized after I saw a picture I took at 18mm and compared it with my two Nikon 20mm lens, that it was LESS coverage. I Googled and found out that this lens is a DX crop lens so that with my Nikon D850 47.5MP camera I get 27mm (at 18mm) and 19.4MP. That is why I gave it 4 stars. STILL for the money and coverage it is a GOOD lens as you can see in the sharp picture below! I am GLAD I bought it for the coverage. At 105mm I get 157.5mm ,so a little more "power"! ... show more

    • Very happy
New lens arrived well packaged and protected. It included both caps. It didn’t include the HB-32 Bayonet lens hood or CL-1038 flexible lens pouch listed in the description. Still, very pleased with the purchase.

    • Great Lens!
Had the same lens attached to a Nikon D90. It is used in a photo booth among other things. The camera was dropped and in the process the lens broke. The lens came with the camera which I purchased in 2008. Works for close-up and zoom shots equally, meaning you get the best of both worlds for your typical needs. Other lens (which I have) are either close-up or for zoom shots only. With that being said, the camera now takes even better pictures than before, go figure. Lens is reasonably priced. Just put on the lens and the camera was ready to go. Pictures are awesome. ... show more

    • the lens didn't work and i goofed
in itself the lens from the company is a good one. i bought a new one from a camera store when this one failed at the start of a trip for which i purchased the lens. this lens was one that had been "fixed"/refurbished. it worked fine for a couple of weeks, till i took it with me to nyc for a holiday. there was a problem with the connection between the lens and the body of the camera so that the battery signal wasn't getting through and i couldn't take photos. i took it in to a camera store in manhattan that had a technician and was told a) the filter wouldn't come off because at some point the lens had sustained a significant impact and b) it was worth returning but not fixing at the store. i would have returned it, or at least asked about a return, but i had already recycled or shredded the paperwork and i don't know how to find the details of the seller by reviewing a history on amazon. my goof. i can't give this particular lens a good rating. but, that doesn't mean the seller wouldn't accept the return. i just don't know how to contact him. ... show more
