First off, just know I am a total noob to photography. I have watched some videos and learned about the camera I just bought. All of these photos I attached were taken with the refurbished 70-300mm VR lens. I have a nikon D5600 and used auto mode with auto focus and captured all of these shots since I dont know what im doing quite yet with manual settings. Some of these are cropped afterward to appear more zoomed in but they are proof you can get excellent photos with this lens if you have the patience to get in close to what you are shooting. With that said, if you are looking for a lens to zoom across a field, this is NOT it. I wanted it to do wildlife shots with but you still need to be relatively close as it doesnt zoom very far and the smaller the object (like a bird) the closer you need to be for a high quality photo. For example, I was maybe 5 feet away from the butterfly and probably 20-30 yards from the elk/bison so keep that in mind. However, it is a wonderful lens for short-mid range and I would never know it was refurbished. It looks and works brand new and can auto or manual focus with ease. It is super quiet and not super heavy so I tote it with me everywhere. This was definitely worth the money and I would buy again ... show more

    • Solid and functional
I had to replace a damaged lens on my camera and this one works just fine.

    • Renewed
I had original lens before and always like it but plastic mounting part was broken. I didn't spend a lot money to replace and it was discontinued by Nikon. I was happy to find reasonable price renewed one.

    • Product was GOOD. NOTE: The lens did NOT fit the camera, despite saying it would.
The lens was in good shape and delivered well and on time. I had to return it because the little on-board app in the item description that tells you if this lens fits your camera was WRONG. It does NOT fit the D5100.

    • Great quality, nice zoom, very lightweight
This is my favorite general-purpose lens. It has some good zoom capabilities and clear images. I also can't tell the difference in weight when its on my camera vs when it's off.

    • Crap!
Bought this lens for my husband’s Nikon, supposed to fit. Had to send back twice! Don’t buy!

    • It's heavier than a Cannon lens
It's fine. Easy to install. Can withstand high heat and humidity.
