  • Great lens for the money depending on distances
First off, just know I am a total noob to photography. I have watched some videos and learned about the camera I just bought. All of these photos I attached were taken with the refurbished 70-300mm VR lens. I have a nikon D5600 and used auto mode with auto focus and captured all of these shots since I dont know what im doing quite yet with manual settings. Some of these are cropped afterward to appear more zoomed in but they are proof you can get excellent photos with this lens if you have the patience to get in close to what you are shooting. With that said, if you are looking for a lens to zoom across a field, this is NOT it. I wanted it to do wildlife shots with but you still need to be relatively close as it doesnt zoom very far and the smaller the object (like a bird) the closer you need to be for a high quality photo. For example, I was maybe 5 feet away from the butterfly and probably 20-30 yards from the elk/bison so keep that in mind. However, it is a wonderful lens for short-mid range and I would never know it was refurbished. It looks and works brand new and can auto or manual focus with ease. It is super quiet and not super heavy so I tote it with me everywhere. This was definitely worth the money and I would buy again ... show more

  • Great quality, nice zoom, very lightweight
This is my favorite general-purpose lens. It has some good zoom capabilities and clear images. I also can't tell the difference in weight when its on my camera vs when it's off.

  • It's heavier than a Cannon lens
It's fine. Easy to install. Can withstand high heat and humidity.

  • Not a bad lens for the price
Came two days early. Package was nice. The auto focus does not work with my D3500. No scratches on the lens and takes pretty good pictures. Can't complain with the price.

  • Crap!
Bought this lens for my husband’s Nikon, supposed to fit. Had to send back twice! Don’t buy!

  • The manual focus ring did not work and the 70mm lens, when fully extended, was very blurry.
This "renewed" lens was obviously not inspected before shipping. The manual focus ring did not make any focus adjustments. When fully extended to 70mm, the image was very soft and out of focus. There was not a sharp edge or clear line in the image.

  • Sharp, Good Zoom, Good VR
Like it's sharpness at full zoom for taking bird pictures. Very good value for money.
