The only slight downsides are: No wearable case provided Only one strap mounting point so can't easily fit a neck strap. These points aside, a good purchase. So light and small that they are always in my jacket pocket every time I leave the house. Only other point is read the instructions carefully about adjusting the right lens setup for focus. I was initially distracted by the two eye cups that both turn. However, these do NOT adjust the right focus. This is done by a separate control under the eye cup on the right side. We recently returned from a summer vacation that involved river cruising, light hiking, and walking through small towns. There was plenty of wildlife along the shore and great sights to see at every turn. The Nikon ACULON A30 is light, comes with a neck strap, stows easily on your belt when not in use, is easy to focus, and has excellent image quality. I'm spoiled - let's get that up front. When you have great optics in your collection like the Monarch 7, these may fall short on clarity and FoV. With that, these are excellent for my needs. I purchased these to put in my truck or my motorcycle for those times when we see white deer or condors, etc. They are super tight, focus well and give great value at the price point. The ACULON A30 10X25 binoculars work great ,i use them to inspect roofs from the ground when is not safe to walk them. They are a great value i've been using them for about 6 months and have no problems. pros : affordable ,lightweight, work well and compact enough to store in my tool bag. Con : The only thing i would improve is the lens caps could fit a little more securely I just double check to make sure i give them a gentle press into place. Talk about the world passing you by. I was unfortunate enough to catch Covid while on a cruise ship and was confined to my cabin. Fortunately I had purchased these to go whale watching, instead I was able to ‘Rear Window’ the world as it passed by. I was amazed at how far away and how clear things were. It was easy to dial in the clarity and they were so light weight I could use them for hours. Of which I had plenty of. An added bonus was how small they are, perfect for putting in you pocket. Easy to use, we purchased for a Safire just what we needed. My only problem is my eye sight. I had to remove my glasses (severely fat sighted) in order to use. Once I got use to the process I was able to zoom in to see the animals. I recommend.

These are great! I bought them to watch a college wrestling event from the top tier of seats in an indoor arena (capacity 15000). The magnification was excellent, brought me right down into the mat. Plus they are small/compact, and came with a fantastic little belt pouch to carry them around. Not sure how well they will do in the dark or for astronomy due to the small lens, but for brightly lit environments they are great. 2 small little nits to pick: 1) they only came with lens caps for the eyepieces, not the lenses on the other end. 2) there were mo instructions for how to attach the strap that goes around your neck. luckily i was able to figure it out i think) Neither of those nits would make me drop them down from 5 stars tho.
