- Low latency for tracking A 50fps fixed focus thermal sensor with 256x192 resolution and 30mK sensitivity displays ultra-smooth images onto an AMOLED display. Ideal for tracking fast-moving wildlife, search and rescue, or security purposes, with a detection range of around 100yd (180m).
- Helmet or head-mounted - The Arctic comes with a head strap and a dovetail adaptor for helmet mounting, giving you flexible hands-free use. It shares the same mounts and accessories as the Nightfox Prowl 2, making it easy to upgrade or swap parts. A thermal monocular for helmet setups or night vision thermal goggle configurations.
- Ideal for situational awareness - A broad 24 viewing angle helps you scan wide areas quickly, making it effective as a thermal spotter, handheld scanner, or thermal deer finder. Lightweight and versatile for hunters needing a portable thermo monocular.
- Rugged and weatherproof With IP65 waterproofing and a durable housing, the Arctic is built for tough field conditions. Thanks to a 3500mAh battery, keep operating all night with 9 hours battery life and easy USB-C charging.
Description
What is thermal night vision and how is it different from infrared? Thermal vision detects temperature differences. Unlike digital infrared night vision, it works in complete darkness, fog, smoke, or to see through light vegetation without any IR illumination. Can Nightfox Arctic be mounted on a helmet? Yes. The Arctic includes a head strap and dovetail helmet adaptor and is compatible with Nightfox Prowl 2 mounts and accessories. The Arctic can also be used handheld as a compact thermal scanner. Is the image smooth when moving? Yes. The 50fps low-latency thermal sensor provides smooth, real-time imaging, making it suitable for movement, tracking, and scanning. Is the Nightfox Arctic waterproof? It is IP65-rated, meaning it is protected against dust and heavy rain, making it suitable for outdoor use in challenging conditions. What is the battery life? The built-in 3500mAh rechargeable battery provides up to 9 hours of continuous use, depending on settings and ambient temperature.
