I've tried a variety of lower cost NVGs, and there's a lot to like about these. The good: More compact than most other options. They actually have eye cups rather than a hood or just an unprotected view screen. This is key when using to watch wildlife so you're less likely to highlight yourself. The eye cups are well spaced for someone with a medium sized head, maybe a little close is you have a larger head. Strong IR illuminator (more on this in the next section) Good range and definition. The not so good: Their basic skylight mode (using just ambient light) is below average. The adjustment range on the IR illuminator isn't great. The lowest setting is actually pretty high, and it doesn't go up a lot from there. Even on the lowest setting anything up close is washed out as the illumination is too high. The recording function works, but is very low resolution. I included some pics, but they really don't do justice to what you see in the NGVs. I was watching some deer, and you can kind of tell that in the pics, but they were much clearer through the NVGs. Still, overall, the best option I've found for longer range use with the illuminator. Some other options may be better up close, or in ambient light.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. The night vision is clear even in complete darkness and it’s easy to use. Battery life is solid and the build feels durable.

Noe there are marketed as night vision, however they work great during the day as well. They are my goto binoculars I keep with me all the time. They can light up the pitch black and let you see deep into the night and they can work great during the day as well. The included screen is bright and crisp and easily seen in the heat of the day. Incoming pros/cons Pros: -Way batter than old school optical binoculars -Screen is bright and crisp -Great battery life -Cheaper than optical options -Night vision sees for 100 yards easily. -Bright IR for night vision -Great for picture taking -Comfortable around eyes Cons: -They do cause a minor amount of eye strain when used for an extended period due to the proximity of the screen an inch from your eyes. All in all a great set and great alternative to optical binoculars. Only real downside is you cant use them unless theyre charged.

I really wanted to like these. The first budget helmet mounted night vision that has "dual tubes" and both eyes covered. Sadly it suffers from the same issue of the others having viewing starting at 3x which means you cant walk with these, see your hands or anything up close. For distant observation only. Ease of use: easy button layout, easy to use in the dark just by feel. No nonsense menu and HUD. Weight : good not to heavy on the head about a pound. Clarity: good but further away, you can use the focus easily to view 15 yards at the closest. 4/5

These night vision goggles work really well and are easy to use. The 4K HD image is clear, even in complete darkness, and the infrared mode makes a big difference. I like the dual screens and head-mounted option, which makes them comfortable for longer use. The 8X digital zoom is useful, battery life is solid, and the included 32G card is a nice bonus. Great for hunting, camping, and nighttime exploring. Very happy with this purchase.

These work well and the distance that the infrared light throws is impressive for the price of these binoculars. The controls are very easy to use and intuitive. The sd card works perfectly and images are clear and bright. The closer you are to the object you want to view, the less infrared power you need, so it stays clear without being too washed out looking. The body is solid feeling and the materials are good quality, especially at this price. Very impressed with how well these work.

I tested it out after dark last night, and man, this thing really works! I could see clearly about 250 yards out — totally solid for night use. The night vision is in black and white, but honestly, it's super crisp. What I really like is being able to adjust the focus and tweak the brightness on the infrared light depending on what I'm looking at. The zoom is digital, so don't expect miracles, but it definitely helps get a closer view without losing too much detail. And yeah, it shoots 4K video and takes photos — plus, they throw in a 32GB memory card, which is a nice little bonus. Overall? Really happy with it. It’s reliable and easy to use in the dark.
