Christmas Gift
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. The night vision is clear even in complete darkness and it’s easy to use. Battery life is solid and the build feels durable.

One of the best low cost NVGs on the market
I've tried a variety of lower cost NVGs, and there's a lot to like about these. The good: More compact than most other options. They actually have eye cups rather than a hood or just an unprotected view screen. This is key when using to watch wildlife so you're less likely to highlight yourself. The eye cups are well spaced for someone with a medium sized head, maybe a little close is you have a larger head. Strong IR illuminator (more on this in the next section) Good range and definition. The not so good: Their basic skylight mode (using just ambient light) is below average. The adjustment range on the IR illuminator isn't great. The lowest setting is actually pretty high, and it doesn't go up a lot from there. Even on the lowest setting anything up close is washed out as the illumination is too high. The recording function works, but is very low resolution. I included some pics, but they really don't do justice to what you see in the NGVs. I was watching some deer, and you can kind of tell that in the pics, but they were much clearer through the NVGs. Still, overall, the best option I've found for longer range use with the illuminator. Some other options may be better up close, or in ambient light.

Works great in day and night!
Noe there are marketed as night vision, however they work great during the day as well. They are my goto binoculars I keep with me all the time. They can light up the pitch black and let you see deep into the night and they can work great during the day as well. The included screen is bright and crisp and easily seen in the heat of the day. Incoming pros/cons Pros: -Way batter than old school optical binoculars -Screen is bright and crisp -Great battery life -Cheaper than optical options -Night vision sees for 100 yards easily. -Bright IR for night vision -Great for picture taking -Comfortable around eyes Cons: -They do cause a minor amount of eye strain when used for an extended period due to the proximity of the screen an inch from your eyes. All in all a great set and great alternative to optical binoculars. Only real downside is you cant use them unless theyre charged.

Fantastic for watching nature at night
These night vision goggles work really well and are easy to use. The 4K HD image is clear, even in complete darkness, and the infrared mode makes a big difference. I like the dual screens and head-mounted option, which makes them comfortable for longer use. The 8X digital zoom is useful, battery life is solid, and the included 32G card is a nice bonus. Great for hunting, camping, and nighttime exploring. Very happy with this purchase.

Good for observation only
I really wanted to like these. The first budget helmet mounted night vision that has "dual tubes" and both eyes covered. Sadly it suffers from the same issue of the others having viewing starting at 3x which means you cant walk with these, see your hands or anything up close. For distant observation only. Ease of use: easy button layout, easy to use in the dark just by feel. No nonsense menu and HUD. Weight : good not to heavy on the head about a pound. Clarity: good but further away, you can use the focus easily to view 15 yards at the closest. 4/5

Works great and good infrared throw.
These work well and the distance that the infrared light throws is impressive for the price of these binoculars. The controls are very easy to use and intuitive. The sd card works perfectly and images are clear and bright. The closer you are to the object you want to view, the less infrared power you need, so it stays clear without being too washed out looking. The body is solid feeling and the materials are good quality, especially at this price. Very impressed with how well these work.

They work remarkably well for night vision, but do feel fragile and have no weather resistance.
I've been torn on reviewing this product and procrastinating, because its a tough one. I think it's really good for nighttime viewing. The night vision and range are simply impressive. I wouldn't recommend it for daylight birdwatching and so forth, because the clarity and definition just isn't there. It's digital, which means it's pixelated. I'll break down some pros and cons that'll hopefully give you some insight on what to expect if you get these. As stated, the night vision is impressive. I have a digital scope with multiple settings, including night vision, and these goggles are much better. If you want to identify things in nighttime darkness that are within a reasonable range, this is going to work for you and it's going to work well. I don't know the maximum distance, but I've used it to view items at 50ft, 100ft, and probably up to around 100yds. It's illuminated them well, magnified decently, and there's enough adjustment to get the picture to focus well. Again, I was impressed with it. It's pretty easy and straight forward to operate. The buttons on the top of the device function smoothly and are easy to feel with your fingers as you're looking through the goggles. I do wish there was some contrast on the buttons. They are all black, including the picture indicating what function the button performs. No one is going to use these for super sweet tactical stealth missions, so make the button black and the function symbol white, so you can actually see it. It's winter where I live, so I haven't used them enough to remember what all of the buttons do. Because there's no contrast, I have to grab my readers and illuminate the goggles so I can identify the button function. It's just inconvenient and unnecessary in my opinion. They feel like a toy while in hand. These are not durable and should be handled with care. I don't suspect they would handle a drop or two very well. It's great that they're lightweight, especially since they have a head mount, but they feel very fragile. On the flip side, I have some expensive binoculars and other optics, and I wouldn't trust dropping them either. So, it's a toss up. I just was caught off guard with these goggles, as I for some reason expected that they would be rugged. They are not. There's no weather resistance at all. Since they're for outdoor use and advertised for hunting, birding, and so forth, they should have some elemental protection. Battery life: Seems pretty decent and it charges quickly. Accessories: I appreciate the molded case and accessories. I will maybe use the neck strap, but don't foresee that'll I'll use head mount. The goggles always have some magnification to them, so don't plan on flipping them down and walking around, unless you want to get some serious motion sickness. But, it's nice that you can use them hands free to look, of you want. It's easy to record onto the memory card. Follow the included instructions, and it should be pretty easy for you to record your viewings, if you want. I could get the footage to play on my computer, but it would not play the video on my phone for some reason. I wanted to show a video of the goggles, and therefore had to use a video of it playing on my computer, as I recorded on my phone. So, sorry for that. Regardless, the video with this review is from the goggles set to night vision. The handrail and steps at the beginning are about 60 to 65ft away and the dock pieces and lake at the end are around 45 to 50ft away. So, it shows the night vision and magnification to some extent. I guess I'm not familiar with other styles of night vision goggles, to where I can offer a subjective comparison. As I review this, I can say it does a good job with night vision, it doesn't come close to the clarity of binoculars during the day, it is super light, and feels like a toy. It's fun you have and cool that it can record things. It also is creepy to use in hallways and basements, because it totally gives off horror movie vibes. I think it is effective, but feel like it's overpriced for the build quality you're receiving. If the housing was aluminum or there was weather resistance, I'd find it to be a much better deal.
