Not sure what Rubber Wood is but it is suppose to be a hardwood. The unit is beautiful, heavy and finished nicely. We spent a little extra to have ours shipped assembled. It arrived from Arizona to Chicago in three days. Thanks Estes Shipping. Great job! It came to our house in a semi truck with a lift gate and fork lift. Although it's tail gate delivery the guy was very nice and wheeled it in to our condo parking spot for us. The box was approximately 3.5 ft. square and seven feet long. It weighed 200 lbs. The unit unboxed is 165 lbs. We used wheeled furniture movers to roll it into our elevator and up to the fourth floor. The box was cardboard with lots of foam and plastic wrapping. It had a small defect which was easily fixed with a refinish pen. This is a unique space safer that allows us to have a nice office / TV room and occasional guest room. It sits on the floor like a dresser or armoire with no need to attach to the wall like a murphy bed. Love this piece. ... show more

I love the sturdiness of this bed. It also comes with a very comfortable memory foam mattress. When it’s put away, it looks nice as it is made of solid wood. It does not have the funky smell of manufactured wood which I appreciate! I also have to mention how well packed this piece was. There’s absolutely no way that the bed can be damaged during transit unless the container was dropped from a truck or intentionally mishandled. I mean it was triple wrapped with padding and had a layer of styrofoam all around the entire bed!! We were very impressed as we took apart the padding! I had issues with the trucking company who was supposed to deliver the bed but once I bought it to the seller’s attention, they showed up the next morning! Kudos to the seller!! Overall, despite having second thoughts about buying a big piece of furniture from Amazon, it ended up being just fine. I highly recommend this fully assembled bed from this seller! I purchased this pre assembled Queen size Murphy cabinet bed to replace an old full size bed in a guest/gaming/tv/hang drying laundry/ room. I love this bed. It is easy to set up. The lift off piece is a little heavy but doable for me. The mattress is pretty comfortable ( I took a test drive nap on it). It is easy to close back up. It is well made, real wood and attractive. Be aware for those who measure well, but don't visualize well that it is a big cabinet. ... show more

I wanted a bed for visitors but didn’t want to take up so much space in workout room. This is super easy to put up and down and the mattress is comfortable. I did end up using a topper on it because I had a fairly new one already but you wouldn’t have to do that.

This was perfect for our spare room! Our spare room is currently being used as a gym/guest room. Having this creates the extra space we need when working out, while also having a bed to use when guests are over. We had family use it within the first week. One of them said that their partner likes to toss and turn, so it survived that! When it ships, the company will call. It arrives on a crate all wrapped up and you will need to unwrap it in the driveway to let the company know that it arrived without damage.
