I did a lot of research and settled on this cabinet bed. It truly is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. When folded up it looks like a dresser and doesn’t take up much space in a small second bedroom in our apartment. It’s easy to set up and take down. The mattress is quite comfortable and we put a foam topper on it under a mattress cover. We tried it out before having guests sleep on it and it is as comfortable as our own bed. We are extremely pleased with this purchase. We paid for delivery to our apartment and the delivery man brought it up and unboxed it for us. I’d recommend spending the extra money for this. We had to make special arrangements to meet the semi-truck driver at the Lowes parking lot, as he could not turn around on our cul de sac. We went to great lengths to unbox it right on his truck to inspect for damage, as was repeatedly advised. That took a while and the driver was friendly, but not very helpful, although he did help my husband get it loaded, which was fine in our opinion, since we had to meet him to load it in the first place. All looked good and we got it in our two vehicles in pieces to bring home. Yes, we had a mini van and a Toyota Tacoma and it took every bit of both vehicles. Once we got it home, it was not too difficult to bring in the house one piece at a time and set up in our office right inside our front. Had we needed to take it much further, I think my husband would have had to find some helper. It is very sturdy and quite attractive and fit in our space perfectly (which is tight). We've slept on it several nights and it is very comfortable, especially with a quality mattress pad. It is very nice, but recommend you have a plan as it is big and heavy! ... show more

I got a pre-assembled bed: BEWARE of the delivery limitations on this bed! It came via freight service, and it's VERY heavy. The driver is not allowed to bring it into your home. He was very courteous and even apologetic, but those are the rules. You'll be told all this in advance, and some of these limitations are listed in the item description, though to me "curbside" doesn't necessarily mean they'll have to leave it outside, so that's a lesson for me. Also, this is delivered on a pallet. They are instructed to leave the pallet behind, but we were able to convince the nice driver to take it away. My husband and I got it into our home and placed in the room, finally, but it took a TON of effort. If you 1) live alone, or 2) live in an apartment/condo situation where you have no help and trash is a hassle to get rid of, you need to be prepared. As for the bed, it's nice. I don't really like the Antique White finish because to me it looks like a big, slightly unfinished crate sitting in my room. It was hard to tell from the pictures exactly how it would look, so I'm going to live with it, but higher-quality pictures would be appreciated for an item that's this expensive and bulky (i.e. hard to return). If the manufacturer could offer swatches/samples of the finish, that would be a great add. The bed assembles and disassembles quite easily. I'm a 60-year-old woman with shoulder issues, but I can still do it without problems. The mattress was our biggest concern, and it's surprisingly comfortable! I may still get a mattress topper for it. Got this for a guest bed when needed, so we'll sleep on it ourselves one night to give it a real test drive. Overall happy with the bed. It's sturdy and well made. Just be aware of the dimensions because it's bigger than I expected it to feel once it's in the room. ... show more

This case bed opens into a comfortable queen sized bed. It’s high quality and easy to assemble (it can be purchased already assembled). SDS is one of the best companies for customer service that I have ever had the pleasure to work with. This is my second bed with them. Worth every penny!

First off, let me say that this bed comes PRE-ASSEMBLED. Normally these beds are around $1300-$1400 without assembly, so in my opinion, the extra bit of money is well worth it to not spend an hour or more putting it together. With kids running around, that's just not feasible in my house. Now, on to the good stuff. I know this is supposed to be a guest bed, but because we live in a super small place, we are using this as an actual everyday bed. With that being said, the quality is obviously pretty good because of all the use it is getting. "Unfolding" it and turning it into a bed is super easy. Takes only about 2-3 minutes. Putting it back takes about the same amount of time. The mattress is exactly as described - cooling gel memory foam. No night sweats and super comfortable. It is a firm mattress, but still comfortable nonetheless. I myself like a firm mattress but my wife likes a super soft mattress, and even she is pleased with this mattress. Also, I would like to point out that I am 6'7 and this mattress is long enough, even for me. Now let's talk about the seller. Nick (the gentleman that took care of us) was phenomenal. From the moment of purchase until the delivery, he was with us every step of the way. Even when the freight company (located in Georgia) was dragging their feet and rescheduled us THREE TIMES, he got on their butts to get us this bed. And, even though he didn't have to, he refunded us money for the inconvenience of having to wait extra time. I definitely recommend this seller AND this product. You won't be disappointed. UPDATE JANUARY 11, 2022: We are STILL using this bed daily and it is holding up beautifully, even after we put on some quarantine weight. Still highly recommend this bed! ... show more
