This rower was recommended by a friend. I didn’t want to invest in an expensive machine until I was sure rowing would be a good, low impact workout for me so this machine fit the bill. The quality is great for the price. It’s quiet and rows smoothly and was easy to assemble. I did it on my own in about 45 minutes. I’m 5’6” and my husband is 6’5”. This rower works for both of us although the next level up, the Pro, is a touch longer with greater resistance and fits him a little better. After buying the smart model, I purchased the Pro for our vacation house, where we have more space to keep it set up all the time. I am overall happy with this purchase. I got it for a great deal on prime day. It is sturdy, has a great weight limit (as a big'un it is difficult to find durable equipment at an affordable price), does not take up too much space at all, and was easy to assemble. My only complaint is listed below... keep reading. Assembly was easy and quick. The most difficult part was unpacking it, as it was well packaged and protected. Easy overall! The machine functions as expected. There is a dial to select different tensions. The little computer module thing automatically comes on when the machine is in use, and turns itself back off after a few minutes of inactivity. There is also a phone/tablet holder attached. I also love the slim build, and ease of putting it out of the way. It is light enough that I can simply lift the back, until the front is rested on the little wheels, and roll it out of the way. Takes up minimal space! My only complaint is the seat. It is hard and the "cradle your tushy shape" isn't really a one size fits all. I would have preferred a padded straight seat. After about 15 minutes, my tailbone is sore (and that is with my own padding my body provides). I will fight through it though. Maybe daily use of this machine will help my bottom conform to the seat. Overall I love the machine, and the workout it provides. I would purchase again for the price and space saving features, but that seat is not my favorite. However, I will be using it daily! ... show more

This is different from the quality of the one at the gym. That being said, it meets my expectations and for the price, it is very reasonable. The connectivity to Kinomaps was incredibly easy and it is fun to have an interactive rower. Kino maps has in-app purchase subscription for interactive rowing, otherwise, you can see the stats of the rower with your phone via Bluetooth, or the screen. I enjoyed 'racing' against others in the app. The machine is whisper quiet and folds up for easy/very light moving if you need space. For my home purposes, I would get this again. I have bought my wife 3 similar machines over the last 8 years and they all broke or weren't very good in the first place, but you roll the dice buying things you can't see in person. I bought this based upon what she wanted, what it offered and of course the reviews and I can say this is indeed a quality machine! She loves it and uses it every night for a few hours. Not only the rowing action but she also does pull-ups (not the over head kind), squats and a few other things. It's quiet, all parts are solid and it's actually easy to move (with small front roller wheels) and stands up vertically in a corner well without too much space. ... show more
