I bought this set for my husbands birthday and its worth the money. Its easy to assemble and seems sturdy so hopefully he'll be able to use it for a while. However, I needed to purchase heavier plates as apparently 22kg isn't enough for him (eye roll). So I messaged Nice Choice directly and received an email back the following morning. They told me their price list and even gave me a deal for separate plates (not the set). The communication was fast, easy, and flexible so THANK YOU for this. Customer service like this is hard to find so I truly appreciate a local product (California) and a great customer service department. Thank you Rachel for all your help! Love the padding that comes with the bar, makes lifting very comfortable. Also the weights come with protective soft rubber casing so it doesn’t damage your floor, perfect for indoor workouts.

These are really viable and nice looking dumbbells. The color scheme is pretty cool and of course it’s awesome that they can be turned into a barbell. The BIGGEST annoyance about these is that instead of barbell clamps or the easy spring barbell clips found with most dumbbells, these are SCREW ON weight locks which take QUITE A WHILE to unscrew and then re-screw when you want to add or remove weight. This makes it annoying for when you want to add weight as you progress reps, because instead of taking a 60-90 second break between reps, you spend like 3 or 4 minutes just adding weight for your next set, and it can kinda throw you off your groove. But I mean, there are limited options right now during this pandemic so these aren’t a half bad solution to the fact that there are a limited supply of dumbbells around. Just be ready to spend quite a bit of time screwing and unscrewing when you want to change the weight.

I love the neoprene like cushion grips, there is also a nice rubbery shell on the weights which is nice to protect my hardwood floors. Super easy to put together. 2 sets would be ideal as it takes a minute or two to break down from one long bar to two short bars. I got them as a lightening deal and they were absolutely worth the price IMO. Maybe not enough weight for muscle bound dudes but for a woman looking to start toning those problem areas (you know the ones) this is perfect!

This set is amazing! Super easy to assemble, to adjust, and to change from barbell to dumbbells. I am so grateful I ordered this product. I searched, read reviews and did my homework and it paid off. I love the outer yellow plastic part because it is so easy to clean and does not leave marks on the floor. I wanted an extra bar and called the company directly, and they could not have been more helpful or responsive. I thought good customer service was a “dying breed.” The world would be a much better place if all companies were as responsive and professional.

They are good dumbbells but alittle pricey. Only real complaint, is you need to buy collars separate. The plastic screw on collars that come with set are flimsy and come loose easily. Also, since the bars are threaded, it makes clip on collars alittle difficult to put on/off. If u not chAnging up the weights much - they suit the need.

As anyone looking for dumbbells during the pandemic knows, it's almost impossible. I bought these because they were literally the only option available immediately that allowed for adjustable weight. I wasn't a huge fan of the yellow, but it's actually kind of grown on me. PROS • Packed neatly and efficiently for shipping - I kept the box to put them away easily when needed. • Neoprene casing is durable and keeps the weights from sliding around, even on hardwood. • Bar handles have a comfortable and sturdy grip. CONS • Because it allows for more weight, the ends of the dumbbells stick out considerably if you're only using one plate on each side. I ordered the 55lb option, so maybe the lower weight options have shorter dumbbell bars, though I'm not sure. • The plastic screw-on bolts are a bit of pain to get on and off. Don't expect to be able to switch between different plates quickly. On mine, one side screws on easily, the others stick a bit and require more work to get on and off. (I bought some metal clamps to use instead, but those aren't much easier because of the threading on the bar) I haven't used the barbell yet, so I can't attest to that. Hope this review is helpful. I'm still very grateful to have these and will happily work with the cons in order to keep up a good at home workout routine.
