This charger has been going great for 2 weeks. I returned FOUR others due to faulty connections and lack of charging after only a few days. You get what you pay for. Good product!

  • This is the missing accessory you need to make the Quest 3 better than the Quest Pro, hands down.
Style: Quest 3
I have had a lot of VR headsets, and it has always been a problem keeping them nice and neat while not in use. The first VR headset I bought that tackled this problem was the original Quest Pro which came with its own docking charger station for the headset and touch controllers. But this 3rd party system for the Quest 3, while not as sleek and compact as the one for the Quest Pro, is actually superior: 1) Unlike the one that came with the Quest Pro, this one for the Quest 3 makes it very easy to place the headset and controllers securely in their respective locations. 2) This dock doesn't care what kind of 3rd party headset upgrades you may have made (in my case, I have upgraded the head strap hardware with a far superior ergonomic system that incorporates an external battery, too.) 3) This system includes 2 rechargeable AA batteries creatively designed to allow you to never need to open up those battery compartments to change a battery ever again.,,, just like with the Quest Pro.. except that in this case, if a controller runs out of charge while using it, you still have the option of throwing in a regular alkaline or rechargeable AA battery temporarily. (With the Quest Pro, this is not an option-- you have to interrupt your VR session while you wait to charge your controller.) A few more cool features of this system: 1) It comes with a tiny magnetic dongle you plug into you plug into your Quest 3 USB-C charging port, which connects effortlessly (magnetically) to the included USB charging cord. Or, if you have an external battery pack, you can plug the magnetic dongle into the battery and charge it instead, while simply leaving the battery's power output connected to the Quest 3 headset. In this case, the dock charges the external battery, which in turn charges the headset. Regardless, the point is that thanks to the cool magnetic dongle and cord, you can just grab your VR headset off of the cradle and put it on -- no need to unplug anything; the magnetic connection will simply pull apart. 2) The dock includes an _additional_ USB charging output which you can use to charge other stuff you might have. 3) The weight of the dock is surprisingly hefty, due to an integrated metal base. This makes it feel solid and ensures stability. 4) There are high-quality rubber pads on the base which keep the whole thing from sliding around. Instead of the normal little rubber "feet" this device has large surface area pads on the base. It's not going anywhere from a bump... you have to pick it up to move it. CONS: 1) IF you have 3rd party silicone controller covers like I do, you might have to take some scissors to them. In my case, I had to snip off the bottoms of the silicone controller covers so the modified controller charging ports could make electrical contact inside the controller charging ports. (See included photos). No big deal, frankly. Snip, snip, done. VERDICT: I am not easily impressed. And I'm impressed. RECOMMENDED. ... show more

  • Well made and thought out - a few aesthetic quirks
Style: Quest 3
The materials and build of this stand are great. The only issues I have with it are aesthetic and minor. They have found a way to make the hand controllers charge while docked. This is accomplished by including rechargeable batteries with side terminals. Those terminals are accessed by replacement battery doors that touch those terminals and include a charging port on the bottom. These do seem to have one drawback that I have noticed (so far). It took a few charging cycles for the batteries to peak. When they did, the Quest shows that they are only 80% charged. I suspect that is due to the Quest being calibrated based on alkaline battery chemistry and the included rechargeable batteries do not have that high of a peak voltage. The stand also includes a magnetic charger for the headset. A USB-C dongle is inserted into the headset and left there. A magnetic interface on that dongle matches with a plug on the included USB charging cable. This allows the headset to be removed from the stand more conveniently without having to unplug a USB-C cable first. It took 2 charging cycles for the headset to fully charge the first time I used it. It has seemed fine since. Blue lights mean charged. Orange means charging. There are separate lights for each hand controller and the headset. There is a touch sensitive light switch to turn the headset light off (but it does not control the charging lights for the controllers). As you can see in the photos, it looks pretty cool. I would say that the design intent definitely favored displaying the headset over compactness. It is tall enough to have nested the controllers under the headset and wide enough that the headset could have been lowered to fit between the controllers. My aesthetic gripes/nit picks are: The font used for the L and R lights for the controllers does not seem to fit the modern look of the stand. The brand logo is written prominently on front in a font that is difficult to read and at a glance looks like it is the name of a country instead. The touch sensitive area for the light switch is marked with a fingerprint. I would have just made that a circle or something simpler. Like I said, these are minor gripes. The person/people that made this cared about making a good product, and it shows. ... show more

  • Much more than just a dock
Style: Quest 3
This dock just made my Meta Quest 3 a 1000% better. One major complaint I had about the Quest was that the controllers continued to use AA batteries instead of a rechargeable internal battery. AA batteries don't last very long and I hated having to replace controller batteries every other week (based on my usage). This dock is great not only because it is well designed, but it adds the functionality that the Quest 3 lacks. Its main feature is that it allows both your controllers and the headset to be charged wirelessly on the dock. The dock comes with a pair of rechargeable AA batteries and new controller battery compartment covers that allows it to be charged wirelessly. Since my controllers are now charged after every session, I no longer have to worry about replacing the batteries. The dock also comes with a charging cable and a magnetic USB C dongle. Once this dongle is placed in the headset, it can be charged wirelessly by the magnetic cable in the dock. I'm so glad I stumbled onto this dock. Originally, I was just looking for a stand to display my Quest 3, but this is much more than what I was expecting. Definitely worth the money. ... show more
