Received this as a father's day gift from my wife. Quality looks awesome many hives I have been looking at are not dove tail, this one is. The fit and finish look awesome. I like the little window on the side too. I can't wait to get some bees in there.

I’ve got to say I like this. Five stars is based on taking it out of the box and assembling. The instructions are simple and clear regarding assembling the ten frames [I bought the ten frame kit]. The box and other pieces are ready to go outbid the box. A note about frame assembly is that the nails can easily split the wood. It took one split for me to select 1/16” drill bit [smallest in my kit] to drill pilot holes for the nails. Assembly is smooth doing one side of pilot and nail before moving on to the other side. Assembly was relatively quick once I had my assembly line setup. I look forward to buying a new colony for my hive and building more hives!

Was super easy to put together. I am still learning bees, so I cant really say much about the rest of the setup. Super happy with my purchase though.

it is a good set , but there's a couple recommendations . first off, pre drill the holes for the nails. if you use a very small bit, it will save you from splitting the frames. i also recommend buying wood glue for the seams, merely to strengthen the joints. The other thing i dont like is the hat and gloves. the golves are to big and i prefer mor snug fitting gloves. I also dont like the hat, but the hat and glove issue is just personal preference . The last thing is it cane with hard ware for a window, but my box doesnt have a window in it.
