    • Garbage, don't waste your money
More cheaply made electronics that aren't worth the cost of the cardboard box it came in. The touch mouse pad is barely functional at best, and completely non-functional quite often. It invariably begins to lag or only respond after an ever-increasing delay before it stops working entirely and I am forced to hard reboot the machine to get control over the mouse pad again. This isn't a hard life for a laptop either. I don't travel with it and it doesn't see rough use. I can't imagine this thing would last a week in the hands of someone that asked any more of it than YouTube videos and facebook. It's not loaded down with games or apps- it is literally used as a glorified tablet. And I have had better functionality from tablets and 10 year old laptops. For web browsing and YouTube binging it's adequate- until you can't control the mouse again. But beyond that I think I've had watches with stronger processing power. I will give it good marks for battery life. It does last quite a long time on battery even while streaming videos. Second good mark I give it is that it has a decent antenna. It stays connected to my wifi at a respectable distance from the signal box. It's bluetooth connects easily and is stable. Beyond that, I am unimpressed with it as a computer (I have a cheaper tablet that is better in virtually every way) and the worthless mouse pad makes me want to throw it out a window. ... show more

    • Hinges broke after a year
The laptop itself runs like a laptop should but there was a manufacturer error with the hinges and they break with common use. It's very frustrating. Don't buy from here but actual dell store.

It works well and it isn't expensive for a laptop. I got it just to write and for school, but its great to watch videos and Netflix as well. I recommend paying more and getting the highest capacity possible. Its more space and It will connect to the internet better. Also switching to a google chrome browser is good because its way easier to use. You just have to look it up and hit download. Then later you can go to the chrome web store and you can get extensions/add ons for your laptop. The screen quality and volume are meh, but its overall a pretty good deal. ... show more

    • Right hinge failure after 1.5 years
Purchased Oct 2021. Right hinge failure March 2023. Opening laptop pulled bezel from around the screen and hinge does not pivot properly. Only 1 year warranty from Dell even on mechanical, so can't recommend.

I didn't use this laptop for much, but I took very good care of it. I only used it for a drawing program and some writing assignments for my time in college. Now, after 2 years, it's bluescreening on startup. I factory reset it and it worked for about a day before I was hit with a blue screen again. When I first got this laptop, the track pad began giving me problems only a month after using it. The one thing I do like about it, however, is the amount of convenient ports it has. ... show more

This is my first Dell and I’ve called customer service twice for minor issues and they really go the extra mile, I’ve never experienced such great customer service before. Before purchasing my Dell laptop, I read about their renowned customer service and now I know it’s the real deal.
