Works great! Quiet hum when working. Looking forward to seeing how it works this summer during those humid days of Arkansas

  • Decent Unit but Smaller Reservoir
This couldn’t have arrived at a better time. My water heater started leaking in the basement causing my humidity levels to increase to 72% in the winter months. I was afraid of mold developing let alone the dreaded basement smell. Right out of the box, the detailed instructions were easy to follow. Plug it in, turn it on and the unit’s controls lit up. I will point out the button to press to turn on is a bit tricky. I have to press on a specific portion of the button make it turn on. It was temperamental. The unit started pulling water from the air almost immediately. The negative I experienced is the tank doesn’t store a lot so I had to keep setting a timer to tell me when to dump the tank. After several times having to do this and not wanting to do this around the clock, I decided to attach the drain hose from the dehumidifier unit into the basement floor drain. Problem solved. Overall this is a decent unit. It does make a slight hum when running, similar to a ceiling fan or white noise machine on lower volume. It works well by drawing out the moisture in the air. ... show more

  • High capacity dehumidifier with air filter and digital controls
This dehumidifier arrived in mid January when the inside humidity was only 34%, so not a great time for me to test its ability to reduce moisture levels in the house. I still tested what was possible. The unit arrived well packaged and undamaged, with foam cradles on the top and bottom of unit and surrounded on the sides with a plastic bag and a bubble wrap type of padding. When plugged in, the digital controls light up when the power button is pressed. You can choose between air moisture removal and fan only modes, set a timer, and adjust the percent humidity level. There is some fan sound but it is not loud, probably less than a window fan noise level. The removed water is stored in a tank that pulls out from the side like a drawer, and is empty by tipping through a triangular hole on a top corner. It has a fold out top handle. On the side of the unit is a white rubber plug, which when unplugged reveals a nipple that accepts the supplied clear plastic tubing used in direct drainage into a floor drain or larger container. The dehumidifier has a top mounted fold out carry handle, that facilitates removing the unit from the shipping box and moving the unit to the desired location. The unit has four small rotating wheels on the bottom that allow the unit to move easily in any direction on hard surface floors. The wheels are too small to allow easy rolling on thick carpet, but for that situation the top carry handle can be used. The water tank can hold 5 liters. The description says this unit can service a 5500 square foot space and remove 80 pints (ten gallons) per day. If run at capacity, that would mean 7.58 filled tanks per day. There is a quiet sleep mode, auto mode, and drying mode which adjust the fan speed, although I haven’t yet been able to compare the various modes in winter because the air is too dry to run the dehumidifier effectively. There are colored indicator lights to display the current humidity range, red being humidity above 65%, green indicates a comfort zone of 45 to 65%, and blue indicating a dry humidity below 45%. The dehumidifier is energy star rated for high efficiency. So far the only issue I had initially is removing the grate to inspect the air filter (which needs to cleaned regularly for top performance). The manual claims that this grate is easily removed, but when I attempted to remove it according to instructions, I could only get it to partially release, so I stopped pulling at it out of concern it might break. I will have to research this and see if there are any additional instructions on how to easily remove this grate. It does not appear to be as simple as stated. From what I have seen and tested so far, I think it is a very good unit, but I will have to wait several months until summer when the humidity is high to fully evaluate its effectiveness in removing moisture from the air. ... show more

  • Small but powerful dehumidifier
This Dehumidifier with Drain Hose from NEBULIG is something I never knew I needed but now that I have it, I'm so glad I have it. I got the one that's for a 2,000 sq. ft. house and it removes up to 30 pints of water a day. It has a .53 gallon water tank and a 3.28 foot drain hose if you want to use it for continuous drainage. You have your choice of not using the hose and just removing the water tank to empty it when it gets full or connecting the drainage hose and either have it draining to the outside or a sink or bathtub so you don't have to empty anything. I was surprised at how small it is measuring only 10.04 inches wide x 18.03 inches high x 8.66 inches deep and weighs 22 pounds but it actually does an amazing job. It's also very easy to move around or to another room because it has wheels. It is super easy to use. All you have to do is plug it in and press the power button and the display lights up. There's a green circle around the humdity number if the humidity is below 45, it changes to a blue circle if the humidity is between 45 and 65, and a red circle if it's over 65. Since it's the middle of the winter, our humidity was very low between 28 and 35, so it didn't need to do anything. However, apparently our humidity went way up for the past couple of days because it automatically turned on and I saw that our humidity level was around 54. It's very quiet when it's on and if you have the TV on, I can't even hear it. Then this morning when I woke up, the code "FL" showed in the display which means that the water tank is full. When it gets full, the unit automatically shuts off which is a great feature. I just emptied it, rinsed it out, put it back and when I turned the power back on, it automatically started again. I am extremely impressed with this dehumidifier and I highly recommend it. ... show more
