DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT....I HAD IT FOR 2 MONTHS AND THE COMPRESSOR WENT OUT.... THEY REPLACED AND I DIDN'T USE DAILY, JUST AS NEEDED... IT WENT OUT BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS AND NOW I CANT FILE TO REPLACE THE REPLACEMENT.... DONT BUY....TOO MUCH MONEY FOR A PRODUCT THAT ONLY LAST A FEW WEEKS AT A TIME.

The media could not be loaded. Don’t waste your money. Worked great for 13 days. Button won’t push back out to make ice. 28 emails later with support and no go. They won’t replace or refund because I’d didn’t cut the cord correctly before my hubs took it to the dump. I sent in all the photos and videos that I thought would suffice. Charles Trapp from customer services wouldn’t reply half the time for days. My daughter so loved her little ice and now we’re out $200 and the machine! Thanks for nothing Newair.. Beware buyers! Machine will break and stop working quick! We kept our clean and in 1 spot. No traveling or anything with it. ... show more

    • Love the nuggets, but not the noise
This machine makes great ice nuggets, but the high pitched sound it makes while running is unbearable for both me and my pets. I originally had the machine on the kitchen counter (in an open concept living space), but moved it to the coat closet just to minimize the sound. i also wish it was insulated better. The ice that was made melted within 24 hrs, and due to the water content putting it in a bag in the freezer caused it to become one super large block of ice. ... show more

Makes a constant loud hum when in ice-making mode. Like a cheaper dishwasher. I can hear it throughout the house. Returning this 45 lb unit and hoping the 30 lb version is quieter.

The media could not be loaded. had a turbo, squealing noise contacted customer service. They don’t accept any form video but they won one. Finally stop squealing when it stop making ices. I’ve been trying for months. Only way to get video up to their format is here . So here so here’s the video of it failing so Customerservice can see it. ... show more

I love this machine. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Easy to fill. If I had one complaint it would be that it makes ice, but it doesn’t keep it. Wish it would make it and keep it frozen.

    • Extremely loud. Only lasted 4 months.
Yes, it's soft crunchy nugget ice and it makes it quick. But it's loud, very loud. Mine's in a pantry with door closed and it's still obnoxiously loud. Way way louder than any dishwasher I've heard in the last 30 years. Louder than a washing machine. But we suffered it.. For about 4 months when it stopped working. It seems the refrigerant compressor went out. The pump works to cycle the water still but after a minute of that the lights start blinking. There's no explanation in the manual for this error code. Other newair models say it means the ice full sensor is obstructed but I can rule that out in this case. So, you know. If you decide to take a chance with the noise at least you can rest assured you only have to put up with it for a couple months. ... show more
