Description

Whether it’s running last minute errands or watching your favorite baseball team strike out on the last inning, meet the world’s first beer chiller that protects against the dreaded warm beer party foul. The NewAir beer froster works hard to ensure moments like these are met with your favorite frosty beverage. Benefits: 23 Degrees: One of the coldest beverage centers on the market. At this frosty temperature, your mass market American beer will taste its best. Store more than just light beer at 23 degrees: beer mugs, whisky glasses, or mini kegs can all be kept in your Froster to be served up icy cold. It is not recommended to store all types of beverages at 23F. When storing beverages for long periods of time, follow the Froster temperature guide to be sure your drinks are safely stored and ready to enjoy. Turbo Mode: Never drink a lukewarm beverage again! Turbo mode is a last-minute errand runner’s dream. As soon as you put your beverages in the Froster, turn on Turbo mode. In only an hour you will get beer that is frosty-cold and ready to drink. Once your lukewarm beer turns ice cold, the mode turns off and the Froster adjusts to the set temperature. Party Mode: Built to withstand thirsty partygoers. Do people keep opening your fridge door and letting all the cool air out? Party mode keeps the Froster compressor on for 6-hours straight. No matter how many times that door swings open, Party mode will keep your beer frosty-cold and tasting it’s best. Finally, a fridge that can keep up. Once those six hours are up, the Froster adjusts to the temperature set on the digital thermostat. Heated Glass: Insulated door with a frost-free look. A heated glass door stays frost-free under the coldest conditions. You’ll always be able to keep your eye on what’s inside. Plus, the heated glass adds to the sleek design of this black beverage cooler.

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The NewAir fridge is highly regarded for its great temperature control and aesthetic appeal. However, some users have noted it to be quite noisy, especially when the compressor runs. It maintains a cool temperature and has a sizeable storage capacity. The shelf mobility and slight issues with packaging have been minor concerns among some users.

Pros

  • 🌡 Great temperature control
  • 🎨 Aesthetic appeal
  • 💡 Features such as "Turbo" and "Party Mode"
  • 🥤 Significant storage capacity

Cons

  • 🔊 Loud noise when compressor runs
  • 💺 Shelves move more than desired
  • 📦 Packaging could be improved for better protection during shipping
  • 🔥 External parts of the unit run hot, making it unsuitable for enclosed spaces

Should I Buy It?

If you prioritize temperature control, storage size, and aren't bothered by the noise of the compressor, this fridge could be a good buy. However, if the noise could be an issue or you intend to place it in an enclosed space, you might want to reconsider.

  • Noise
Style: Black Pattern Name: Solid
So far it’s a solid fridge. But it’s loud and if in a quieter location like kitchen etc will definitely be noticed. Also shocked how long and often the compressor runs. Mine is indoors and under AC and set at 32 but still runs a lot and when it kicks off, it’s for a few minutes at a time. I’ll likely have to find a new home for it in my house because it is too loud to stay in our kitchen. Such a bummer. ... show more

  • Great but noise may bother some folks
Style: Black Pattern Name: Solid
Love the fridge but the noise when the compressor is running may turn some people off. Contacted Newair and they said this is normal. Temp control and the look is great. One other issue is the shelves move a little more for my liking. I wish they would lock in better to prevent moving around when loading the fridge. ... show more

  • Asking a lot of the packaging given the trauma within the UPS pipeline.
Style: Black Pattern Name: Solid
First one arrived with "beat" packaging (Denver to Binghamton N.Y.). No obvious physical damage until set-up. Functioned fine but upper door hinge was trashed. Returned and second one arrived (Richmond to Binghamton / shorter trip) with similar visual distress. This one is fine but a near 100 lb fridge shipping in this manner is borderline acceptable strategy. If you like your beer as cold as I do and it arrives safely you will love it. 125 can capacity maybe but my experience says greater than 60 and it will impeded cooling efficiency. And like all cold air it sinks so I drink from bottom rack, move others down and restock the uppers. Burp ! ... show more

  • Unit almost delivers on promises, but manufacturer doesn't
Style: Black Pattern Name: Solid
Bought this unit to replace a typical NewAir fridge. I don't need to chill beers to 23*; I just want my cokes and waters below 40! I'm running this beverage cooler in a tough environment: an enclosed porch in Texas in July. The previous unit died just two months in (and NewAir warranty service is trash, more on that later). Here's my review on this model: Day 1: set in place and didn't turn it on per instructions. Day 2: Plugged it in, let it run overnight, then stocked it about 2/3 full, careful not to obstruct the fan. About half of these drinks came out of our main fridge and were already cold. Shouldn't be too tough to hit 34*, right? Day 3: See photo: got below 40 degrees but it took a full day to get to this point, and that was after manually activating Turbo Mode and Party Mode. Not quite as promised but it did meet my criteria. Note 1: to accomplish this in my environment, the outside of this unit runs HOT. Not just the back, but both sides! No way can this be placed in an enclosed cabinet, and I would think twice if I had young children around. Note 2: NewAir warranty service is super disappointing. This is based on the previous unit (non-beer-chiller that died in 60 days). Short story, they offered to send me the replacement part, would not cover installation labor, and would not provide free shipping (60 days into the 1 year warranty!) UNLESS I would leave a positive review on NewAir’s website. The agent actually waited on the phone to verify my positive review before sending that part. What a scam! And that part never arrived! Fortunately I was still within the seller’s 90 day return window and got my money back. So all those positive reviews on NewAir’s website? Maybe they all needed free shipping on parts and wrote under duress, lol. Fortunately Amazon provides a great price for a 4 year Allstate warranty (free parts and service). Based on my last unit I may be calling insurance soon, will update! ... show more

  • Pleased with product, few issues..
Style: Black Pattern Name: Solid
I purchased 2 of of these coolers for my new mini bar cabinet. The coolers function as described, great cold beverages with "Turbo"!! Only complaints, the doors need a stronger magnetic closure, better door open warning sound and more noise dampening.. overall no problems and happy
