Listen up, future mall cops and neighborhood watch enthusiasts, because have I got a hilarious tale of unbridled amusement for you. Let me introduce you to the newest members of our household - a dynamic duo of PAW Patrol Walkie Talkies, Chase and Marshall. Right out of the box, these little heroes are eager to serve and protect... the fun. However, if you're thinking these are the communication tools to coordinate your apocalyptic survival team or control the shopping mall's Black Friday crowds, let me stop you right there. They may be many things, but ready for mission-critical operations, they are not. Unless, of course, the mission is to entertain your little ones. Now, let's address the German Shepherd and Dalmatian in the room. What about Skye and Everest? Seems like a bit of a 'ruff' deal that the girl pups aren’t getting any airtime. We might not be barking up the lawsuit tree yet, but it sure smells like a missed opportunity to me. Maybe it's time for a little more gender representation on the walkie talkie scene. PAW Patrol, we're watching you. As for their performance, well, let's just say that while the fun factor is high, the range and clarity are more along the lines of 'whispering from two rooms away'. Seriously, if you’re more than a hop, skip, and jump apart, you might as well be on different planets. But then again, isn't playing a round of ‘broken telephone’ half the fun of walkie talkies? But despite their short leash of range, these walkie talkies are still a hit with the kids. The amusement and giggles they've generated make them a worthy addition to the toy chest. These were purchased for my grandson who likes PawPatrol. I can talk to him, but he is only 2, so for now he just listens to who ever is on the other end. These were inexpensive, and not high quality, but it works.

We took this to the grandson who is just learning to talk and he picked up on saying walkie talkie really quick. While we were using it, a message from a trucker on a CB radio played on it. I dont know where he was but we were by a major highway. I wish we would have thought to try and answer him back! ... show more
