I wish it was cheaper, but it adds a cool effect to the project!! Like any metallic or similar thread, you have to slow down and use a big eye. With my single needle, I had the netted spool on a separate thread stand and still gave it an arm's length of slack between spool and occasional hand guiding. I was prepared to babysit each project, but it wasn't really needed. Several breaks with stabilizer on jeans test piece, but none on medium denim jackets without added stabilizer. I love reflective everything, and to be able to make any designs that I desire with reflective threads? Amazing! Despite being a first time user of reflective threads, these were easy to use by following the instructions card that came in the box. This set contains three spools of lighter gray threads and one spool of darker grey/blackish thread. It also comes with 4 thread nets, which the instructions provided detailed explanations on how to use. The threads stitched out beautifully and I cannot wait to use them on more projects. The media could not be loaded. This thread has a learning curve, but if you follow the included instructions, this thread stitches out very beautifully. I loved the included instructions since this was my first time stitching with metallic thread. They have you drop your tension and use a topstitch needle. I'm mainly impressed because craft items rarely come with instructions anymore. I did have to give my machine a clean out, there was a period while stitching out that my thread kept breaking every 30 stitches or so (it was a very upsetting babysitting moment) but after I cleaned my machine out, and I had everything at the suggested settings, it stitched out perfectly. You can see how the thread looks in my up-close picture, but far away it just looks like a silver or dark grey thread. I love it! ... show more

This thread did not disappoint with it's reflective quality! Stitches like metallic thread, so use a topstitch or larger eye needle and slow down your speed...but otherwise it looks amazing and will definitely be seen in the dark!

The media could not be loaded. I love the stitch out and reflectivity of this thread. It will be great for safety on garments used in the dark that need some reflectivity. I will use this as a bill on a welding cap. First picture shows when the flash on the phone hits the stitching in a darkened room. Second picture is the stitch out no light added. I used the recommended top stitch needle and slowed my embroidery machine speed down. I had no problem with breaking or shredding of this thread at all. ... show more

I have been wanting this thread for a while now, so I just bought it. It is easy to sew with. No thread breakage. The project was for my hoodie that I wear walking so I will be able to be seen. I know the thread will work great for this.Oh, the hat was just for my son. I thought it would be fun.

The media could not be loaded. Works good. I had to slow my machine down but thats normal with specialty thread. It looks great and reflects perfectly even when wet. The last pic shows with no flash on where as the others has a flash to show how it reflects.

This thread is an awesome addition to my ever growing collection by New Brothread. I used a combination of their thread, the headlights glow in the dark, the body of the bike turns light blue in UV light and the wheels and windshield are reflective. Give them a try... one piece of advice: if using on a multi needle, slow the machine down as slow as you can... ... show more
