These bottles are small and easy to store. The brown amber glass makes them protect the liquid inside from sunlight. I have been using them for various Homebrew projects. I am very pleased with how the caps work and I'm glad that it includes the cleaning materials.

I ordered this 12-pack Nevlers 8.5 oz Amber Glass Beer Bottles to use for holding C-41 chemistry. After using several different local labs to process my color negative film, and constantly being disappointed at the results, I decided to take the plunge and start processing my own. I ordered these amber bottles to hold my developer. The problem with processing C-41 is that the developer will go bad fairly quickly if exposed to air. The other chemicals in the kit will be okay if kept in sealed containers, but the developer does best when totally sealed off. These bottles have rubber seals that absolutely keep air out. A bottle holds enough developer to process a single roll of 35mm in a single reel stainless tank, and two bottles is enough to fill most double reel stainless or plastic tanks. Because these bottles are small, they also heat up quickly when placed in a water bath. If you buy a 1 liter C-41 kit, you'll need 4 of these bottles to hold your developer. Depending on the kit you buy, you should have a sufficient number of bottles to hold the blix and stabilizer. Alternatively, you can keep the blix and stabilizer in larger bottles and just transfer enough to these amber bottles when it's time to go into the water bath.

Nevlers 12Pack 8.5 oz Amber Glass Beer Bottles for Home Brewing |Thick Swing Top Glass Bottles with Airtight Lid | Sealable Glass Bottles with Lids for Kombucha Jar, Mead Bottles & Limoncello Bottles I have been having fun brewing cider, wine and soon some beer. I have found this 8.56 z bottle size to be perfect for enjoying a beverage with my dinner. It's just enough to accompany a meal and not too much to make you regret having an adult beverage. I am about to try my hand at brewing beer and these will be perfect to enjoy my homebrew with dinner. I have used clear flip top bottles similar to these for my cider and even some wine. I expect that these should work just as nicely as those.

These are very good quality bottles, with a nice full rubber seal on the top (not a ring like I have seen in the past) and good quality heavy wire. They were packaged very nicely with individual bubble pack bags around each bottle. I make kombucha and intend to use these for bottling. They are a bit smaller than than I expected (did not equate the 8.5 oz volume to the size of the bottle well). They will work fine for me - I'll just end up with more bottles. I can see using these bottles for lots of other things as well - anything you need an airtight seal for.
