I got this for myself with some Christmas money I received as a gift, and it was the best decision! It’s super easy to setup and we’ve already gotten several birds that visit daily. It allows you to share your camera access with up to 20 people. This was one of the reasons that I chose to try the Birdfy. Our parents could no longer maintain their birdfeeders that they loved due to restrictions at their new apartment. The Birdfy allows us to take care of all of the replenishing of birdseed and charging the feeder when necessary, and they can just sit and relax and enjoy the show. Other family members who had not previously had birdfeeders are also really enjoying this, and my brother has already decided to purchase one for himself and his family. So far it has been a great decision. It is really good quality and has been fun for literally all ages. We also have a subscription to the AI bird ID which tells you which kinds of birds are visiting. This is optional and not too expensive, so we decided to try it out. It’s pretty spot on most of the time, although occasionally comes up with mistakes, but it allows you to correct them, which helps the AI learn and become more accurate. Overall, we have truly enjoyed this and would highly recommend it to others. Oh and they added a new feature that allows you to put stickers on the still images which is super cute and fun! Love this bird feeder camera. This replaced another brand I had for 2 years that just died and I received no product support for. This is so fun. It was easy to set up - letting it charge for a full 24 hours before placing outside. I do have a solar panel that I connected to it (was purchased separately and not from this company) that works AMAZING. I have not had to take this down to recharge the battery ONCE since setting up in early July 2025 (it's Sept 2025 now). If I had one hang up though, it is the charging. The camera isn't removable from the feeder so you have to take the whole thing down and charge it. There should be an easier way in future models to remove the camera for charging. Picture quality is pretty good, videos are also good. I have noticed though, when going through the activity feed, it will skip by hours. It'll show activity from the morning and then skip activity the rest of the day until the evening (see photo). It is pretty sensitive in that if we're outside doing yard work it will catch us in the yard and save that activity clip, so I can't imagine why it would skip such large chunks of time. It happens frequently too, so it's something I need to look into. Arrived quickly & was easy to put together along with setting up the wifi. Can't wait for my bird seed to be delivered so I can check it out. Only issue I had (not NETVUE or AMAZON fault) is my phone I guess is too old. The app keeps crashing. My brother setup on his phone so I can at least watch from my computer desktop. ... show more

We absolutely love NETVUE, as we have other home monitoring devices from them, but we were blow away with the Birdfy by all its innovation, we have 3 of them in the backyard and they attract amazing new birds daily to them. They are very well built and come with everything you need in the box. I love the versatility to mount them in different ways and places. I have one on a tripod that I move around the yard where I want to and the other 2 are mounted, one on a wooden post and the other on a metal post. They came with hose clamps to install easily anywhere on a round pole or post. Also comes with a Velcro like band you can attach to a tree without hurting the tree. The company has really put a lot of effort into the product quality and accessories. The camera is awesome! It can identify the birds through their AI software, it takes multiple pictures and a video when motion is captured. I love that fact I can view my birds from anywhere I’m at, even when I don’t have time I can review them later and I can upload the videos and even send them to friends and family. It comes with a built in white light and an alarm installed, to put extra light on a subject at night and an alarm to run squirrels and raccoons off, comes with sound to hear them live or it’s automatically captured through the videos. Love the video quality of the feeder and I don’t have the connection issues I do with another brand. A couple of things that could be improved on: 1. I wish the camera could be removed to be charged, and 2. I wish the app would allow video frames to be converted into photos. With the cage attachment, the best photo ops aren’t usually at the very beginning. But I don’t know of any that offer this feature. ... show more

    • Battery Life lasts only 2 Days for both of our bird cams!

We purchased this bird camera late November 2025 and were so excited when it arrived. We enjoyed it so much through the winter that we bought a second one (first week in Feb 2026), with one in the front yard and one in the backyard. Unfortunately, over time we noticed the battery life getting shorter after each recharge. The batteries take about a day and a half to fully charge, yet now they only last around two days before needing to be charged again. Eventually, the constant charging became so frustrating that we stopped using the live camera feature altogether. At this point, they have essentially become very expensive bird feeders. Since both cameras are experiencing the exact same problem, it doesn't appear to be an isolated issue. There seems to be a defect with either the batteries or the charging system, and it's very disappointing considering how much we initially loved these products.
