The Netgear Nighthawk RS600 performance is flawless. Despite a tedious setup, the router has proven to be reliable, stable, highly configurable, clearly proving to be the leader in WiFi 7 standards. We're delighted to have upgraded from an earlier Netgear Wifi 5 router, only to experience superior performance, reliability, and superior stability. The RS600 is proven to be the router to own. UPDATE: April 22, 2025 The Netgear Nighthawk RS600 has delivered superior throughput, delivering a full 10 gig on the Intranet port between the RS600 and a Cisco 10gig/multi-gig unmanaged switch, and a full 1 gig of download bandwidth via Xfinity Internet services. • RS280S - Happy Surfer
Style: 9.2Gbps, 2.5G Port
Got the new router connected w/o issue. Very happy with its operation and its wired network options are good also, with LAN aggregation available on the 1 Gbps ports as well as the WAN aggregation using the 2.5Gbps LAN port #4. From what I could read, this model is almost identical to the RS300 at a 1/3 lower price. Also allows you to connect a USB HDD to the router & use it as a Network Storage device (although I have not checked this feature out yet). There is even a button to turn off all the lights except the power light so you don't have blinking going on all the time. All the antennas are internal so there aren't those sticking out everywhere & since it is more vertically oriented, the footprint is not so huge like my old router. Originally had it installed close to floor, but recently got a shelf put up to get it about 5' off the floor for better WiFi. It comes with a one year subscription to Netgear's protection software, protecting all connected devices. Granted, if you want to renew that next year, there is a cost. And with WiFi 7 pre-installed, looking forward to this one meeting my needs for quite a while. There was one issue I ran into, when updating the firmware, something went amiss & I needed to call tech support to inquire how best to proceed, a google search of the phone number on my cell phone lead me to what APPEARED to be Netgear but was instead a authorized reseller who wanted to charge me an astronomical price for support. I realized my error & hung up & searched for Netgear's actual # & got everything set up fine (at no additional charge). If you do need tech support, MAKE SURE you are connected to the actual manufacturer & not the one that appears to be them in a Google search. ... show more

  • Absolutely an upgrade in all ways
Style: 6.5Gbps, 2.5G Port
I was concerned about coverage as we have a 3200 squ foot house, two floors, and my old router had large and i mean Large antennae. This has even better coverage! The speeds on both upstairs TVs increased! my pixel phone which supports wifi 7 doubled in speed to 1500 Mbit. 2.5 Gbit ethernet port meant my desktop (wired) doubled (almost) from 890 to 1600. There is one possible setup "gotcha"! - they want you to use the Nighthawk app on your phone. It works great, but there is a stage where the router downloads new firmware and reboots. *Your phone will probably automatically switch to use CELL data when it detects wifi going away briefly! This means after the router reboots, your phone will say it cant find it. Just turn off cell data, or manually reconnect to the router, and boom youre back in business. Tech on this is A+, and setup is easy! ... show more

  • Just right for my home network.
Style: 9.2Gbps, 2.5G Port
My old router did "20+" devices which was fine until we had 19 devices (mostly smart bulbs in the lights). This new router works just fine after its set up. I don't like the phone app and sometimes randomly it doesn't broadcast the SSID for a minute or two out of the blue, but once your connected you got no more issues. I don't have wifi7 but if I get a device that can use it, at least it's already there... -Stable after set up -Doesn't look like a spaceship (that's good) -Should work with future equipment ... show more

  • Fast WiFi for fiber users
Style: 9.2Gbps, 2.5G Port
I was impressed by how fast the speeds were. With WiFi 7 I was able to get near gig wireless speeds (1GB fiber source) up and down on a WiFi 7 compatible phone and computer. All my old devices worked fine as it was backward compatible and I haven’t had any issues after setting this up. The wizard was helpful and seems more intuitive (device, app, security, etc) than other WiFi routers I’ve used. Nice upgrade from my D Link WiFi 6 router that seemed to be flaking. ... show more
