I purchaced a renewed product and for the price it works as described. It only allows up to 15 connections at one time so if you have cameras, Alexa devices and other WiFi connected devices you will reach that limit quickly. I like that you can remove the battery and keep it plugged in 24 hours a day as long as the timeout setting has been changed. I will keep it handy for traveling or an emergency when the power goes out and my home WiFi goes out. Not lightning fast but sufficient to send emails in an emergency. My cell phone's reception is bad where I live which is the reason for having this as a backup with a different carrier. ... show more

I think some people are picky or the carrier they are using is slow. Mine works for Netflix, YouTube, multiple open tabs. I barely notice the switch from wifi to this. I'm using a googlefi data sim. Set up the VPN and it was plug and play.

    • Disappointing speed and useless, even though barely used, just after the return period is up!
Disappointing right out of the box. Does not deliver anywhere near the speed that it says it's capable of, even on a network that has 5G speeds available in the area. After 3 months, just long enough that I can't return it, literally a week too long to be able to return it, I barely used and charged it, only a few times, it's useless. The signal shuts off after a short amount of time, sometimes a few minutes, and it has to be turned off and turned back on to provide a Wi-Fi signal again. And the battery is shot. It was almost dead when I turned it back on after it being off for a while because I wasn't using it, then I charged it to 100%, and then it was dead within a few hours after only using it to occasionally check messages on my phone. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this because I'd be very very pissed, but I'm still pissed that I paid as much as I did and got so little use out of it before it was shot! ... show more

I was completely surprised by this gadget. I really does what it says it will. I thoroughly expected to send this back for lack of function, but it is a wonderful surprise and a definite keeper.

Because im using it on Cricket and not ATT - despite being unlocked the device didnt accept the new settings for the new service. I had to go to 192.168.1 to manually enter the configuration. Once i did everything worked fine. You can also manage the settings here of the device :)

I didn't like the fact it's an AT&T branded router, not a Netgear (it's almost the same but software varies a bit) I use this outside the US with a local carrier and it worked perfectly, it's convenient that the device it's unlocked and I could use it with all carriers.

I've spent over 3 hours already trying to get this device hooked up to a prepaid service. I am insanely upset that it was not as described. This will be returned. SO FRUSTRATED.
