It worked! Just not with my sim card. It worked for like a second, then the machine realized it wasn't the right kind of sim card and stopped broadcasting a data signal from the card I was using. You have to buy a data specific card for this it can't be a phone card you have a data plan included on. Data specific internet card is needed, or so my experience and research has led me to believe. I won't leave a bad review simply because I used the wrong sim card. I know the product worked, it felt and seemed robust and strong for the brief time it did. And it was easy to set up up too.     • Inexpensive low data use 4 lte home WiFi.
It could have included better instructions or a link to a website for setup. Obviously, you will need to purchase a chip and service to operate. Once it’s up and running, it’s been working flawlessly for over a week. It’s at a home that I am selling. I can monitor and control my air conditioner/heater, irrigation controller and solar system (not THE solar system. Ha,ha.). I also works with security systems (cameras and lights). I went for the low data package which is only $25/ mo. Rather than the cheap phone that I was using as a hot spot which was $75/mo for the same data limit. I’m really happy with it. It did ship through USPS, but still only took a FER days. I’d recommend it to someone who can get by on 4lte. ... show more

    • Be sure to check your APN settings!
I got a data sim card from Pure Talk and plugged it in. At first device wouldn't connect to internet/pure talks network. I logged in to the attwifimanager and changed the APN from ATT to Puretalk with the proper corresponding info. Device connected!! Been using it for a few days with no issues. So if device doesn't connect to internet double check the APN settings and make sure its set to the SIM cards corresponding settings. ... show more

I purchaced a renewed product and for the price it works as described. It only allows up to 15 connections at one time so if you have cameras, Alexa devices and other WiFi connected devices you will reach that limit quickly. I like that you can remove the battery and keep it plugged in 24 hours a day as long as the timeout setting has been changed. I will keep it handy for traveling or an emergency when the power goes out and my home WiFi goes out. Not lightning fast but sufficient to send emails in an emergency. My cell phone's reception is bad where I live which is the reason for having this as a backup with a different carrier. ... show more

    • Disappointing speed and useless, even though barely used, just after the return period is up!
Disappointing right out of the box. Does not deliver anywhere near the speed that it says it's capable of, even on a network that has 5G speeds available in the area. After 3 months, just long enough that I can't return it, literally a week too long to be able to return it, I barely used and charged it, only a few times, it's useless. The signal shuts off after a short amount of time, sometimes a few minutes, and it has to be turned off and turned back on to provide a Wi-Fi signal again. And the battery is shot. It was almost dead when I turned it back on after it being off for a while because I wasn't using it, then I charged it to 100%, and then it was dead within a few hours after only using it to occasionally check messages on my phone. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for this because I'd be very very pissed, but I'm still pissed that I paid as much as I did and got so little use out of it before it was shot! ... show more

The charge do not last very long. If you’re lucky you might get two hours. It takes Quite some time to charge.

    • A seller standing behind his products.
Works great. I was able to get a SIM card from my cell phone service provider and online without issue. When I had a problem updating the security settings, the seller quickly sent me a replacement. Everything is good now. One of the best customer service interactions I have had in a while.
