  • A good router, good features but on a 30 day trial, you need to buy services
Like: The router is super easy to setup and has a ton of features. The Night Hawk App is super intuitive, easy to use and navigate around. The Web interface is equally with a ton of features that you can play around with. Setting it up took less than 10 mins. The parental control has a good set of features, but its all payware after a month. I want to see how the non-payware looks like before upgrading. Armor is $99 and Parental is $69 per year, so its not cheap either. Don't Like: There are a ton of features like the Security (Armor) and Parental Controls, but you need to buy these services if you want to use them after the 30 day trial period, which was very disappointing. I would have liked these features to be there at least for 3 months or a year, I wouldn't mind paying a reduced-upfront cost for these features, than to realize after buying its a trial version. ... show more

  • Great Router
Tried 3 other brand routers before this one. Returned all 3. Couldn't get them to work, bad apps etc. I needed a little help from my ISP customer service and installed with little problems. Rotated the unit 90 degrees one time and the coverage in my 1500 sq ft house is excellent with 350 mbps down load and 23 mbps upload on the computer furthest away from the router. The ISP plan states up to 500 mbps .This netgear product seems to be an excellent choice. Will be buying more netgear products in the future no doubt. ... show more

  • Working great since it got install setup
It has excellent strong WIFI signals within my new condominium in New York city. After connecting to the ISP Spectrum fiber optic modem and then setting up this router using my laptop connected with an ethernet network cable to one of the router's ethernet ports, the WIFI and ethernet began to work to access outside internet world. To setup, I entered in my laptop browser address using the router access URL (for computer only) which was printed on the tiny instruction paper inside the product box. The router requires you first to setup your new admin ID and password, before the access point function automatically begins to work. The Amazon Fire TV stick 4K Max is taking the 5G WIFI 6 signal from the router to broadcast 4K streaming video contents to my 4K TV now, and I enjoy watching improved streaming video. ... show more

  • Easy to set up with your smart phone
Can set up with your old router name and passwords. I didn't and set up every device with the new name and passwords and though time consuming was doable with the Nighthawk application.

  • It serve its purpose
I have nothing special to say. It's a wifi router, it does it job just fine. Connection is stable what's most important. Living in a small apartment, so no issues regarding wifi signal. What could be improved its setting up router with the app. It could be done much faster, and the app is slow. After that's done, you are good to go. No need to visit the app anyway, unless you are some power user that uses some features that this router offers. ... show more

  • Love this thing
I have had one of these for 2+ years. I bought a bigger badder netgear router to replace mine and ended up returning it because this one was still faster. Recently picked one up to replace my parent’s netgear router from 2004. Easy setup and does exactly what you need it to. Tech support is awful. Hopefully I won’t ever need it. ... show more

  • Fast internet but difficult to connect
I like how fast it is. It took quite a bit of work to get it to talk to my cox router. I have had many routers and this is the first one that I couldn't connect right away. Again the speed is great but the installation is work.
