The Nespresso VertuoPlus Deluxe coffee and espresso machine brews 4 single- serve cup sizes just with the touch of a button. Each machine includes a complimentary welcome set with a range of Nespresso Vertuo capsules with unique aroma profiles. Nespresso Coffee and Espresso Machine makes use of dual size single-serve capsules for brewing either coffee or espresso with consistent flavor at the touch of a button. Nespresso VertuoPlus Deluxe uses large capsule for coffee and small for espresso and has patented Centrifusion extraction technology reads barcode on the rim of compatible single-serve capsules and automatically sets brewing parameters. The VertuoPlus Deluxe machine brews four cup sizes: 1.35 oz Espresso, 2.7 oz Double Espresso, 5.0 oz Gran Lungo, and 7.7 oz Coffee. Additional features include: an adjustable tray, extra-large 60 oz. water reservoir, machine automatically ejects capsules after brewing; holds up to 17 use capsules, heat up time of only 15-20 seconds and energy-saving automatic shutoff after 9 minutes of inactivity. I used to shun coffee machines that use pods. I'm a coffee lover and I used to use my stovetop mokas, my stainless steel French press, or my Chemex, though mostly the mokas as I usually drink what Italians call caffe. A close friend who is an expert in the kitchen recommended the Nespresso. I was surprised. He, too, drinks espresso and he had nothing but praise for this machine. I bought this instead of the smaller model, the name of which I forget. After about a month of daily and frequent use, I can say it makes an espresso almost as good as what you get in Italy at the barre. It even has a lovely crema. The machine is dead easy to use. It's not perfect. For about the first week or so, for example, instead of making a double espresso, it produced a thimble full of coffee. I figured this was how it was programmed and shrugged. Suddenly, it began producing a true double. Did it need a "breaking in" period? It also is very finicky about deciding whether to eject the spent capsules. Sometimes I have to remove the spent capsule from the holder by hand. Often, I have to push the spent capsules down into the receptacle as the machine often lets them accumulate at the back. But these are minor complaints. How durable is it? How long will it last? Who knows? I'll update this review if anything eventful happens. Meanwhile, this is the easiest and best cup of espresso you can get without going to the barre. ... show more

After a friend told me about her Nespresso machine, I had to give it a shot. I did wait until it went on sale, but after having this machine for a while I would pay full price for it! The machine is fast to heat up and brew the coffee or espresso. This is excellent if you’re in a rush or inpatient like me 😅. I haven’t officially timed it but I think from start to finish is about 2 minutes. You do get a nice starter pack of pods to see what floats your boat. The quality of the coffee and espresso is fantastic! Plus the milk frother that comes with it is near silent and makes excellent foam hot or cold. And let me just say the machine is dang quiet too. I truly look forward to making my coffee every morning. Some people may say the pods are expensive but where can you go for a latte, let alone a cup of coffee for under $2!! This is truly one of my best purchases of 2023! ... show more

Was first introduced to this brand and product a few week ago during a stay at a friend's home. I ordered it and the milk frother right away as I just fell in love with the ease, and most importantly the flavor of the coffee! I was skeptical with the quality of the coffee before I tried them but holy cow, what a nice surprise! There is nothing about this product and the coffee it produces that I do not like. My regular coffee maker is a Breville product and the VertuoPlus Deluxe Coffee and Espresso Machine by Breville lives up to the same amazing standards. I got this a couple weeks ago and already love it. Way better than a Keurig. The only drawback is the cost of the pods. I expect that will come down with time. Right after I got it it had a leak that I never found the source of but my guess a simple clog as it corrected itself and no more issues. If your simple looking for a convenient way to brew a cup, then Keurig is fine. If you want a top quality cup then get this and stay away from a Keurig. The difference is in the brewing. This aerates the coffee as it brews. That makes all the difference. Like letting a merlot breath before drinking, aeration does to a cup of coffee. Also, this machine can't be any easier to use. One button. There is a bar code on every pod that tells the machine how to brew that unique blend. You don't even have to adjust the size. ... show more

Long-term review: As an espresso enthusiast, the Nespresso VertuoPlus Deluxe by Breville has easily become another coffee-making device that sees limited use only for espresso drinks but not coffee. The design and user-friendly interface make it easy to pull an espresso "shot" every single time. The convenience of the pods eliminates any mess or guesswork, ensuring consistent quality with each brew. The good news is that this machine works just as good today as it did when I bought it a couple of years ago! Plus, the included milk frother has come in handy to not only make decent cappuccinos and lattes but also adds a new level to drip coffee made from my other coffee maker. Where this machine falls a bit short is in its ability to brew a stellar cup of coffee. While it's not terrible by any means, the flavor and strength of the coffee it produces are just average. The range of coffee pods seems somewhat limited, and if you're someone who relishes a robust morning cup, you might find yourself slightly disappointed. I had hoped that the VertuoPlus line wasn't just Nespresso's decision to get past it's expired patent for the previous line of Nespresso pods. However, the selection in pods has not met my hopes. I decided not to be adventurous with this one to try re-usable pods like I did with an old, retired Keurig. We now just let this machine sit back as only part of our very specific espresso drink indulgence until I finally splurge and buy a pricier espresso machine. In summary, if your primary focus is on crafting impeccable espresso-based beverages with minimal effort, this Nespresso machine is adequate. But, if you're equally passionate about your daily cup of coffee and seek good flavors, you might want to consider other options.
