I am fussy about my coffee and this machine surprised me by the quality of the product produced. The machine is a bit loud but easy to use and fast! Solid machine feels very sturdy and worth the rather substantial price. The most important thing is that the espresso is actually quite good. (I bought Nespresso-style pods from Peet's.) I have had much inferior espresso in fancy shops. The Aeroccino frother works very fast, producing either hot or cold froth and produces a good foam from whole milk for lattes, and is even better if you add a tablespoon or two of cream to the whole milk. Everything is the way it should be. The frother is almost silent, but the espresso machine is surprisingly loud, although acceptable, once you know what to expect. The machine is easy to clean, which is an important consideration for a machine I plan to use "on the road." I purchased this machine for an upcoming business trip where the schedule will not allow a good morning coffee for days at a time. Most hotels have in room coffee machines that are not good. This was a crisis! But I have now made 5 excellent test espresso drinks with the machine and it works very well--crisis averted! This is not a cheap machine, but when I get back, it will be used for entertaining friends. ... show more

I love my Nespresso CitiZ. There are very few coffee shops in my area that make cappuccino just the way I like it, and none close to my home or work. So a good cup of cappuccino used to be a rare treat, but now I enjoy it most days. And with Nespresso it's foolproof - you get a perfect cup of expresso or cappuccino in no time, with very little effort and no guesswork. My favorite feature of the classic line is that you can adjust the size of your beverage exactly to your liking. Yes, I know, there are prescribed sizes of all espresso beverages, and the machine is set to that default, but you can change it any time to your taste - and I like being in control, so I like that. You can also use compatible capsules with the classic line, but so far I've stuck with Nespresso coffee. I also love the aeroccino. Making frothed milk is a tricky and messy business, but not with aeroccino. You pour in milk and press the button - and voila, perfect froth every time. If I had to find one negative of the CitiZ model, it would be that there is no low water level indicator, so if your water tank has only a few drops of water remaining, that's all that will come out into your cup. It hasn't been a problem for me though. The CitiZ model is ideal for a single person, and particularly someone with limited counter space, but I wouldn't recommend it for families or someone who entertains frequently. The water tank is rather small, so you'd have to refill it several times to serve a group of people. The aeroccino makes enough frothed milk for about 2 cappuccinos, so you would have to run it repeatedly as well - although it only takes one minute to complete the job. I am very happy with this machine. I got my first one in the fall of 2019 and I just started having problems with it leaking last week. I am very happy with how well it has worked. We tried to fix it, now I am waiting to see if there are any sales coming up to get the same thing.

So I've only had this Nespresso machine for two weeks but wow. This is a great espresso maker and it is specifically for making espresso. This machine does not make coffee!!! It only makes the specific Nespresso k type cups that are specifically made for Nespresso machines. In other words you can Not use regular k cups in this machine. Fortunately Costco carries the Starbucks Nespresso cups and has another brand of Nespresso cups called Pete's. So yeah that works for me. I use this machine every day or every other day at a minimum. It's been working great for me. This machine makes little or regular size espressos that fill up about a quarter of a regular size coffee mug and bigger espressos that fill up about half of a regular size coffee mug too. The taste is great and I add some milk and sugar free coffee syrup and wow such a great taste. This machine is slightly large as big as a regular home coffee maker and perhaps a tiny bit larger then that so it will take up some space on your counter top. Also this machine is a bit loud and depending on the type of counter tops you have it will vibrate very very hard on your counter top. I have very thin wood counter tops so the vibrations were almost too much I had to put rubber mats under this machine but that works ok for me. If you have granite or something sturdy like that for counter tops you shouldn't have a problem. You just need to get the Starbucks Nespresso Cups from Costco or Amazon and some sugar free coffee syrup too and you're all set for espresso heaven. ... show more

This Nespresso coffee machine is a game changer! You can make quality coffee so fast and easy and the taste is on point. I saw my friends and she had a newer version with the larger pods but after doing some research I decided on going with this machine because the long term expense would be less because the original pods are much cheaper than the newer version ones are (the cost will definitely add up if you drink coffee regularly. Nespresso has a patent on the newer version so you can’t buy third party pods where you can with the original machines. You can also purchase tea pods to brew and also some metal cups with disposable sticky lid toppers so you can add your own ground coffee or tea leaves. The milk frother is fast and makes a great froth but hot and cold quick. This is definitely a luxury product. What I think could be better with this machine is that the temperature of the coffee it makes could be hotter. ... show more

Received a used item. Spider webs and finger prints and old coffee. I did just accept it was used and went and bought cleaning supplies and cleaned it thoroughly. I used it a couple of days and then it just stopped working. The lights would come on and just blink once it appeared to be warmed up. I'd hit the button to make a cup and both lights would just sit there and blink. No sound from the motor. I tried all the troubleshooting steps I found online thinking it was an air bubble but it simply stopped working. I returned it and will just get something cheaper as it appears these are not worth 300+. It had pretty decent taste and the milk was nice and hot and foamy. Versatility is not really there but it does a very specific thing which is what I was looking for. I would hit the single shot twice to get the strength I needed. The longo was watered down for my tastes. Size is good but it's heavier than it appears. The images are taken right after I opened it. ... show more

I'm giving 4 stars since it just arrived yesterday and we've only had 4-5 espressos so far and one very nice cappuccino. Service: on time, as promised, all components. Ease of use: fairly straightforward. Not very different from using an other machine like this. I did read the instructions ahead of time, and glad I did. Many complaints I saw were about amount of coffee dispensed, so I read about how to set the quantity of espresso that comes out per shot. Also straightforward. Function: as promised, quick. Temperature to me is perfect, not so hot that I have to wait before sipping, but not too cold either. Good crema. Machine is noisy. That doesn't bother me, as long as good coffee comes out. Flavor: Nice. Smooth. We've only tried a few varieties of coffee so far and one was particularly smooth. Not the absolute best I've ever had in my life, but as good as I can imagine a home brewer would be. I generally don't drink espresso straight unless it's amazing, and this I can drink straight. Milk frother worked well, and did a better job than another one I have, which takes longer and doesn't seem to froth that well after a few months of light use. So we shall see if this one holds up better. I filled it a bit below the max line for hot limit, and had more than enough foam for two small capps, quite generous for my one capp. I can see how people who like their cappuccinos more milky would think it's not enough, but for me it's perfect. Reliability: not sure yet. Just got it yesterday. Excited to update. This will get a lot of use, as we are a two person heavy coffee drinking team, so we shall see how it holds up. ... show more
