Im in love with this machine, came in perfect shape and much faster then it was supposed too. Makes the best coffee ive ever had at the press of a button its awesome. UPDATE: July 8th 2022 Been using this machine for about a year and a half now, in the beginning I would use it every day as I was completely addicted to the espresso it made, then over time I only used it about twice a week and in the summer times, I basically never touched it. The issues I’ve faced with this machine are pretty minimal, one day it just stopped working so I called the support team to get a quick fix. They walked me thru some steps on how to fix it and it worked! As you use your machine the coffee can dry up in some of the spinning parts and cause the machine to lock up or become clogged. I just used a tooth pick and my finger to unclog everything, took like 2 minutes! The overall quality of the espresso has not diminished, it still makes great espresso as good as the first use. I was afraid that after I ran the machine out with there Nespresso cleaning solution that the flavor of my espresso would be effected but no, coffee still tastes great and the machine still seems to be rock solid. Now if you are someone that requires espresso every single day non stop I would say invest in a higher quality espresso machine, im not sure this machine would still be alive if I used it every day for a year and a half. This machine has already stopped working. My daughter got it for Christmas and it stopped functioning 4 months later. Disappointed!!

    • Don’t judge by the box
Machine works great coffee pods are the best I’ve had compared to any coffee shop. Beats k-cups hands down. Now for the cons: box had holes in the side, machine had dust all over it but it took me long enough to get this so I kept it. Not to mention the instructions leave a lot to be desired since I don’t speak or read Spanish or Chinese. Would recommend to all love it but only had it a few hours I will give it an update at a later date ... show more

Got this machine for wife as a Xmas present. Great design, nice looking machine in the matte black. Worked great for 2.5 months then became unresponsive. It wouldn't brew, or wouldn't brew the right amount, wouldn't run the cleaning cycle. Ended up wasting pods. I ran the cleaning cycle multiple times and descaled it with their descaling solution. It worked ok for a few days but then wouldn't do anything when you press the button. On top of that it was leaking water from the bottom on the countertop, enough to require paper towels under the base. Then there's the customer service... Called and spoke to someone, explained the issues and was told they would send a box to return it for repair or replacement. Box never showed up, when we followed up there was no record of it on our account?! Called again and went through the whole diagnosis process... It seems the machine is very sensitive to cold water and it's better to put warm or hot water in the tank. The machine worked again running the cleaning cycle and brewing 2 cups. But when I lifted the machine water was still leaking and dripping from the bottom. They're sending a replacement in black chrome so we'll see how that goes. (Of course the matte black is limited edition, maybe the reason it's defective?) Not impressed with Nespresso after this experience... The coffee is good and the machine looks great but the manufacturing quality and customer service issues are inexcusable for this brand. Maybe spend less money on George Clooney commercials and get your machines and CS in order! UPDATE: We got the black/chrome replacement machine (non Breville, not sure who made this one?) This one did work better and was quieter at least. It still leaked a bit out of the bottom but we put up with it as it ran well. After 2 yrs though it has failed just like the other one with the 2 blinking orange lights of death. It's dropping even more brown water out of the bottom, won't brew anymore even after running multiple cleaning cycles. We're done with this machine and I would strongly recommend not buying it. We will request the round head version as that's been recommended as the best machine on YouTube videos by those that have suffered the same experience with the Vertuo Next. On a side note I have a Keurig at work that makes just as good coffee and is much quieter and more reliable. Nespresso is a joke of brand experience, love the coffee but what's the point when everything else is garbage! ... show more

    • High Quality Product Easy To Use
The Nespresso Machine is a handsome product. You get a real cup of coffee and not coffee flavored water. A nice coffee aroma is given off as the coffee is brewed very quickly. The coffee could be a little hotter so I heat up water in the microwave and pre heat my YETI coffee cup and that problem is solved. Great Flavor, Great Product. ... show more

    • Finicky operation
I really enjoy the coffee and espresso made with the Nespresso Vertuo Next. However, operating the unit has been frustrating. The name “Next” suggests a refined, new generation, trouble free, machine. My issue has been the dreaded blinking orange light. Once this indicator appears, you cannot brew. Both Nespresso and Amazon have been very generous and helpful with the troubleshooting. But, I learned the most by searching for workaround videos. The bottom line is that a moving part gets seized, and must be manually released. Very annoying. Worse is that you lose a punctured capsule during the workaround. I only use the unit once a week, and only made about 20 cups before the problem started. Cleaning does not seem to be the issue. Bottom line is that I am keeping it, and just dealing with the finicky operation. The manual was not very helpful for troubleshooting. There 12 different blinking light patterns. Most indicate normal operations. If the orange 2-blink with pause error comes up, there are several unhelpful suggestions in the manual.....followed by “if problem persists, call Nespresso”. Great coffee, but don’t expect simple operation like a Keurig. Not sure whether replacing my particular unit would be helpful, as it seems like a widespread problem. A second minor finicky operational thing is that the bowl that holds the pod can accumulate water between runs. You need to blot out the water before inserting a pod.
