Bought this for a weeklong trip to the beach and it did not disappoint! Was looking for a replacement to my aluminum framed canopy that was extremely heavy to drag down to the beach every day and the Neso tent fit the bill! A few words of advice: make sure you really fill the bags up with sand (or whatever ). They need to be heavy as can be, otherwise a good strong breeze/wind will catch the tent and pull the bags (found that out the hard way on day one). Second, really stretch it out in an X after you fill the bags, then insert the poles. Will hold up much better this way. I had to keep an eye on it and reposition the poles in the afternoon depending on how much wind we got but it wasn’t too bad. Keep in mind we would have this out for 9 hours+ every day for a week and it worked great. I got the extra poles so I could keep all 4 corners up and maximize the available space (we had a group of up to 8). If you’re looking for a lightweight easy to use beach shade I highly recommend the Neso tents.

Got the 11' version in the teal color. Love it. I did pretty deep research in the various flys after seeing some at the beach. This one had great performance reviews and I used it at the beach every day for a week. LOVE IT! Not only does it create a large shade area, you have a lot of headroom so you can sit or stand under it. It easily fits 8 adults, in chairs, with plenty of room for all the stuff. It packs up small and light (smaller than one of the folding chairs that fit in a bag). Tip: I bought one of those sandcastle-building shovels (~24" with a wooden handle) at a local grocery for $3 and it made set up much faster. Fill each corner sandbag with sand and once you set it up, dig a hole and put each sandbag in a hole so the tension under the beach winds doesn't pull the sandbag and make the tarp sag. This holds it all day long in beach winds. I got the teal color so that plenty of light would come through but not make the fabric hot, like the darker ones. I'll never set up a beach umbrella again. This fly is fantastic.

updating again. These poles stink something fierce. I keep replacing them and today had one tear through the foam and then rip through the tent like peter pan cutting through captain hooks sail on the jolly roger. Thankfully, my in laws have a shabumi thingy that we are squeezing under. I might still buy another tent because of the size but seriously can't believe these poles don't have a rounded cap under the foam to prevent them from tearing through the foam tip. It's such a poor design, "fill the bags until they are full and then fill a little more". Except, the foam on the poles can't handle the weight and will tear exposing the sharp pole under it which tears the tent itself. I am going to do some hard research on neso competitors and if I can't find anything I'll probably figure out a way to reinforce the foam tips on the poles. --------------- I've owned it 2 years now so heres my 3 star review. I have a family of five and often have two to four more people with us when we are at the beach. Where this tent is a big win is its size and the amount of shade that it provides. You cannot beat the amount of shade you get with one of these tents. The downside is that you're going to have to replace the poles once to twice a beach season. The poles bend and the foam rips off the top of them which puts tears in the tent itself which causes lots of problems. The material that is the tent is similar to spandex if not spandex but the hem will tear and it will stretch making it totally useless if it's even slightly windy. You will have to turn it to a side that has the hem in tacted to use it. This is all after only one to two beach seasons of use. So figure in 4 to 6 months a year and a few weekends total in that time frame. Jury is out if I'd buy again. The cost is great until you buy your 3rd set of poles.

Bought this as a discounted product, when it arrived the bag was in great condition but the canopy itself had clearly been tossed into a washing machine without having the anchor lines removed. It was a gordian knot of teal and black that the previous user clearly hadn't had the heart to face. It took about 15 minutes to gently untangle, a process that did not involve a sword, proving that I will never be Alexander the Great but resulting in a nearly organized pile of canopy parts. Took it to the beach a few days later had trouble with the first time use because the winds were a bit high and we'd not loaded the sandbags full enough, once the winds calmed and we rectified the bags it went up just fine. My family is happy with it as a lightweight addition to our beach kit.

Ordered the Neso Gigante because we have a large family beach trip each year. Wanted the extra space. We are tall, so I ordered two additional poles to hold it up fully. Initially, we had trouble keeping it raised. My son played with the sand bags, filling them and then surrounding them with large mounds of sand. That helped tremendously. We also noticed that others had their poles pointing inward, almost creating a V shape on each side. The tent worked beautifully once we figured all of this out!

Great, Love the product. Easy to set up, lightweight. One word of caution. Do not set it up anywhere there is elevated land behind the product because without a constant steady sea breeze it will collapse. Place it where nothing blocks the flow of the sea breeze.

The NESO Gigante canopy is lightweight, so easy to set up (solo) in ~10 minutes, and looks amazing. I chose the wave pattern to stand out on the beach. There is room for 5+ adults w/chairs to sit in complete shade during the hottest parts of the day.
