This is an amazing, and HUGE, tent to use at the beach, even in extremely high winds! We wanted to give this a try, since the majority of windy days we have to take down our EZup 10x10 tent, or risk it getting bent or ruined in the wind. And the NESO 11x11 tent was a huge success! I had my doubts about it withstanding the winds, so I read tons of reviews and watched YouTube videos to see if it was worth the risk. What I learned (and can now confirm) is that it CAN handle the wind with these extra steps. - Use 4 poles -- It is much more stable in wind with four poles ... so order that extra set of poles. We tried it with only two poles and it worked, but you had to continually adjust them to keep it taught. And if the wind switched direction suddenly or changed its intensity, it would cause the poles to fall. - COMPLETELY fill the sand bags -- When you think you have stuffed the sandbags with enough sand, stuff them some more. They will keep stretching. We also dug a shallow hole to put each of them in, so they couldn't slide or be pulled when a big gust blew. - Pull tent corners tight -- The tighter you pull the tent, the sturdier it will be. I really thought it would rip on some days, due to us having it stretched so hard in pre-hurricane winds; but it held strong the entire week. I cannot stress enough how intense the winds were while having this tent up, and it held up great. While no one else on the beach could put up beach umbrellas or the typical pop-up tents/canopies, we had our 11x11 Neso tent up and shading the family. One thing to note, it does not keep the rain off. We learned this during a brief rain shower while under it. It sort of "sifts" the rain, making it feel more like a mist; but it definitely should be noted that the rain comes through. So don't think your belongings under it will be kept dry. Easy to setup. Lightweight. Lots of shade. First setup my husband didn't watch any videos and it went up without a hitch. We used the kids sand shovel and I think we'll purchase the collapsible shovel for future trips. Handled some really strong winds. Bought the extra set of poles since it's the Gigante. My husband used them 2 in each front corner bracing at different angles and that was ingenious. Buried the sand bags to give it more stability. Stayed strong! Now the rest of my family wants to order one too. ... show more

OMG! I'm actually sitting at Honeymoon beach in FL under the Neso Gigante and it is AMAZING! It took me less than 5 minutes to set up and the amount of shade underneath is awesome. I have a 12x12 mat underneath and all of it is under shade. My little baby is sleeping with the breeze blowing instead of in one of those tents that keeps the heat in. I bought the extra poles and haven't used them yet. Customer service was quick to reply to all my emails and very helpful as well. Thanks Neso. It's going to be a great summer! Get one of those compact shovels that fold and I put about 2 large scoops into the bag and dumped the bag into the hole. Then bury everything. 1. Bring a long shovel 2. Move the sand bag to the middle of the black rope and tie it off at that point. 3. Dig a big hole and put a mound of sand on top. 4. Best canopy ever. The media could not be loaded. Awesome tent, the best I ever had. So tired to carry heavy Academy tents on the soft sand, this is great!! Just a fraction of the weight I used to carry, better shadow area, and easy to pull up and down. It came with 2 poles, but I made the trick with another 2 I made from expansible painting poles and 2 tennis balls. I love this tent, also, it is an aye catcher. Thanks Neso, good job. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. 1 week at beach and this performed perfect!! In heavy wind as I watched other tents blow down the beach this bad boy stood up. Very easy setup for one or two, time is dependent on how fast you move. Hardest part is filling up sandbags. One sandbag did develop 3 small holes. Will contact customer service and see what happens.
