We bought our kids a used burromax electric dirt bike. It uses 2x 12v batteries in serial. It needed new batteries when we got it so I bought some cheap lead acid ones on amazon. Together they were about $40 and gave us about 30-40 mins of runtime. We used them for about a month and the runtime dropped to 20 minutes. I had looked at the lifepo4 batteries before but didn't want to invest $100 more into a used dirt bike, but I'm glad I finally did. The difference is incredible. These things go for hours, in fact the kids get tired of riding before the batteries run out. I was also worried about charging them. I bought a lifepo4 charger but it's kind of a pain to take the batteries out to charge each time. The charger I have is for a slightly lower voltage ( look up the difference between lifepo4 and lead acid) so I knew it wouldn't charge it completely if it worked at all. Let me tell you, even on a 90% charge these things go and go and go. My youngest boy rides next to me on my road bike and we cruise around our small town at 15 miles an hour without a care. Our longest ride together is about 8 miles and it still said max charge on the indicator. I know most people will have other uses for these, but from my experience they work great, and I only wish I would have bought them sooner. ... show more

3 of the 4 batteries I received still work and charge. One battery seems to have died and will not take a charge. Apparently the return window is up and I can't get support. Would not recommend simply because one of the batteries have already died. I purchased in February 2026. Nermak reached out and refunded me the amount for the battery. Customer service team stepped up where the battery failed and made things right. This shows they stand behind their products and understand sometimes things happen. I appreciate the assistance and have adjusted my review rating due to exceptional communication and customer service. ... show more

    • Batteries Much Better than Originals!

These work wonderfully! I bought them to replace two batteries from a ‘scooter’ for disabled or elderly people. The original batteries were ni-cad and although used just a tad several years ago, would not charge or work. These new 12V lithium batteries are much lighter, easily fit into the compartments because they are smaller and connected with the modular connections flawlessly. They charged well, hold much more power than the original batteries and will last many years longer! I am very pleased with my purchase of these batteries. ... show more

    • Not ideal for lead acid battery replacement for UPS

I’d recommend against usage for “legacy” UPS lead acid battery replacement, specifically the common case of quantity 4 or 2 battery systems. These usually are setup with the batteries in series (4x12v = 48v, 2x12v=24v). You are likely better off throwing the legacy lead acid battery UPS away, and buying a lifepo4 based UPS. Even the Lifepo4 portable batteries like the power 1000 have UPS capability. The ups devices that start with a lifepo4 energy source usually have passive and active cooling for the battery array, in addition to the inverter components. There are a few problems with using these in a legacy lead acid battery UPS: 1. The continuous output current is far lower than lead acid batteries. The typical Lifepo4 compatible battery option is rated at 10amp continuous. So, in a 4 battery series system, you’ll get at most about 135w continuous output per battery - so about 500watt max. You won’t get anything near the potential needed in common 1000w, 1500w, and 2000w ups. 2. The BMS present in the lifepo4 batteries generally needs at least exposed passive cooling, or even active cooling. These are enclosed package batteries, so cooling is limited at best. 3. With 4 12v lifepo4 batteries in series, you’d basically need another BMS to manage the 4 batteries, or the discharge and charge levels between batteries becomes imbalanced. 4. The charging circuit will not fully charge lifepo4 batteries, in most cases. Lead acid vs. lifepo4 have different max voltage levels. 5. The legacy ups doesn’t know the proper estimated runtime or charge level of lifepo4 batteries. This is a relatively minor issue compared to above. Technically, a 48v lifepo4 pack that fits most UPS battery compartments could be built to handle several of the issues above. As an experiment, I fully charged up 4 of these individually outside a UPS, then installed them in the ups. Verified the output of the pack was approx 55.8v. The charge/discharge circuit ”popped” with the telltale electronics burning smell, with smoke, when a 200w load AC power fail test was triggered. These batteries may be ok for some cases, like the single battery backup common to home alarm system panels. ... show more

    • Pay attention to load and amps.

Overall good quality. The capacity measured around 14 Ah for both discharging and charging, despite the fact that 10 Ah is specified.. However, I tested them under low-load conditions, just 1A. Keep in mind that there will be a significant voltage drop under heavy loads. With a 7A load, the drop was 1 volt; instead of 13.3V, you get 12.3V, causing your charge controller to mistakenly indicate that the battery is nearly depleted. So, yes—the batteries can handle loads of up to 10A, but this comes with a substantial drop in both voltage and capacity. Instead of 14Ah, you get 10Ah. That is precisely why they rate them at 10Ah: because that is the capacity available under maximum load. 4 stars due to the significant voltage drop. That said, the battery cells themselves appear to be of quite good quality, with low degradation rate. However, they are definitely not rated for a 10A load; I’d say 5A is the maximum, but better for long life use 1-3A. ... show more

I’m done with replacing my kid’s Razor 350 with traditional Lead, 7Ah batteries. If you’re not aware, Lead batteries have the “memory” issues. So, if your kids keep plugging the charger in then the batteries will go bad quick (like within 2 months!). This battery here is LifePo4 type, no memory issue, MUCH lighter, and it’s 10Ah!!! My kids can now enjoy their Razor ebike much longer than the 7Ah when it was brand new. To allow it to charge at higher speed, I changed the charge plug to XT60 and feed charging wire directly to the battery (bypassing controller). I am now able to charge it at 8-10A speed and fill the battery up in 1 hour. Love this battery. I will replace other kiddo rides with this LifePo4 going forward! ... show more
