This saw is amazing. It's a fairly big saw but if you want to do some serious cutting then this is the saw for you. It came not "fully" assembled but only had one thing to install (except for the bar and chain) and it was the bumper spike. I will say that the bottom bolt hole was stripped out but I just re-tapped it and used a new bolt. One of the good things about this saw is that it has the exact same parts as a Stihl MS380/381, so finding parts (if needed) can be found very easily. All in all I expect this thing to last a long time.

The NEO-TEC NS872 chainsaw has some good points, but also significant drawbacks that limit its overall value. Here's my honest assessment after using it: Pros: Engine performs reasonably well once properly adjusted Starts reliably when using high-quality non-ethanol gasoline Decent power output for the price Cons: Chain tensioner is poorly designed and unreliable Chain sprocket assembly is low quality and prone to issues Requires frequent adjustments to maintain performance While the engine itself is serviceable, the critical components like the chain tensioner and sprocket assembly are subpar. This significantly impacts the saw's usability and reliability during operation. The need for constant adjustments is frustrating. For the price, it provides adequate cutting power, but the overall build quality leaves much to be desired. I'd recommend spending a bit more for a more reputable brand if you need a chainsaw for regular use. However, it may suffice for occasional light duties if you're on a very tight budget. In summary, the NEO-TEC NS872 is a mediocre option that works, but has notable flaws. Potential buyers should weigh the low cost against the quality compromises before purchasing.

The saw works very well. It cuts fast and has alot of power. Sure it weighs a little bit but the amount of work you can do with one tank of fuel is more than a underpowered saw. So get more done faster. Used it at sea level and as high as 8500ft elevation.. Minor tune is all that's required. May want to get a 12 dollar tachometer for that.

I went online after the storm hit Texas and got a chainsaw. Ordered it takes a week to get to me. I opened it up all excited I put it together to crank it, and it has a safety crank on it. You have to constantly disengage every time you crank it, otherwise it will jerk your hand Says to be four different levels to the choke to stop method there’s only two and that barely works. I get it started and find out that the inner workings flywheel that spins the chain is cheaply made and so it broke spent $400 on a turd.

I checked the plug and air filter. I then checked the bar oil and gas container. I filled them and pulled the choke. It sputtered then I put it in and started up. I let it idle and went to a down tree to cut it into moveable pieces. It cut through that 38” tree like butter. I just let it sit on top and eat its way through.
