  • GREAT, inexpensive saw. WANTS 25:1 GAS/OIL MIX, Parts ship directly from China! Yay Ecotech!
Size: 12 Inch
The media could not be loaded. Update 6-10-2025: First things first- this saw is truly a little beast. I thought I ruined it with the wrong fuel mix. NAW! Just mixed up the correct flavor and she fired right up and now runs perfectly. Easy starting and has gotten more powerful as it broke in. Second- Ecotech mailed me an air filter cover, from China, for free. They just asked for a photo of the broken part. Took a while but who cares. This is WORLD CLASS CUSTOMER SERVICE folks. BTW, and I don't use this saw every day, but it has at least 10-12 hours on it, and I'm still running the original chain! Pretty sweet saw for $135 or whatever. Don't miss out on getting one. Raised to 5 STARS! I got this saw for light work. At first it cut pretty well and I was happy with the saw. Unfortunately I didn't realize the saw wants 25:1 gas/oil mix and used standard 50:1. My bad, but I didn't think any saw makers were requiring 25:1. Anyway, saw now is very hard to start and won't idle. Did I ruin it? Don't know and I don't know how to contact the maker. Also, I dropped the saw and broke the retaining screw off the air filter cover so now that won't stay on unless I tie it on with string. I'd like to buy a replacement cover if possible. Ecotek, if you're reading this, can you supply parts to the US market? Thanks ... show more

  • I own 4 different NEOTECH saws.
Size: 12 Inch
This chainsaw is so nice. Light weight and easy to hold and use when in a tree. The size is perfect when in tight areas of the tree tops. This saw has great power to cut even the most dense woods. I cut a lot of shagbark hickory,. Red oak, white oak, and my favorite Osage orange also known as hedge. The latter being the most dense. And I can cut a 6" log in just a few seconds. I been running this saw from a few months now and it still starts easy and runs like new. Still have the chain it came with but I have shortened it one time. This saw also is ment to be used by arborist. And can be connected to the harness with a carabiner. I have a few Neotech chainsaws now. I have the 36" the 28" and the little 16" and now this 12" top handle saw. I do love the Neotech brand so much I am starting a channel to chainsaws. I will update with pictures and a video soon. I hope you find this helpful. 👍 helps me ... show more

  • So far so good. Still.
Size: 12 Inch
First off heres some background. I have a small tree business. I was going to get a Stihl 194T which was around 450-500$ and I found these little saws which had good reviews. I have a lot of experience with the 194T working for large tree companies and they seem to last under constant use about 2 years on average. If these Neotec saws will last just 6 months they will pay for themselves. So i ordered 2 of these saws for 280$ so two for about half of the cost of a single 194T. They came packaged well. One of the funnels were cracked but hey its a cheapy funnel who cares. I installed the spikes, bar, chain, then side plate. The chain was sharp and the saws dont feel (cheap) weight and plastic feel wise IMO. I already had 1:50 fuel for my Stihl 250. So i just took a little bit of it in and added it to the Neotec Mixer and added bout half the labled oil to it. Should be around 1:25 ish for the first fuel tank lol. I then filled up the fuel and bar oiled tanks. The two saws fired right up in about 2 or 3 pulls each. I let them idle on the ground about 5 minutes then cut an 8"palm stump in my yard down that i had just for these saws. The first saw was weak because it needed a carb adjustment badly. The second cut well but needed slight adjustment. I adjusted them and they then cut perfectly even for 1:25ish fuel. I cut the stump flush to the ground and then let the saws idle another 5 minutes and then shut them off. After a few minutes i fired them back up in a single pull each then let them idle another 5 minutes and then shut them off and put them in the shop on some cardboard to check bar oil leaking and sure enough way to much bar oil. I turned them almost completely shut then 1/4 of a turn. Ill come back in a month or two for an update. ------------------------------------------------ It has been a couple months now coming back for an update. After a few uses of the saws which both work well btw the choke lever feels a little flimsy but have had no problems with them. After turning down the bar oil it is pretty much perfect. They are light and they start up after just 2 or 3 pulls still. They have both payed for themselves already multiple times. My only real complaint other than the flimsy feeling choke lever are the fuel and bar oil caps. They are annoying to get started to tighten down and difficult to losen. But it can be accepted, i mean these chainsaws are currently 129$ so I can live with that. Id rather buy 4 of these instead of 1 stihl of same size and type. When i got much more money rolling in I may switch to Stihl but honestly dont see it for a long while. Ill be back for a 6 month review. ... show more

  • Really great saw!!
Size: 12 Inch
I have had this 12” saw for 7 days and have ran 15-20 tanks of fuel through it. It was easy to start out of the box and continues to start easily. My only complaint on it is the location of the on/off switch. I repeatedly hit it with my hand shutting the saw off. It out performs my echo and stihl saws. I like it so much I’m trying the 16” & 20” saws as well. You can’t go wrong with this saw! ... show more

  • Fuel tank leaks out in a day.
Size: 12 Inch
Definitely not worth buying. I ordered this Neo Tech 25cc saw and was impressed at first, after assembling it, mixed 2 stroke gas and adding bar oil it seemed to run really well and made good power for a small saw. Unfortunately the fuel tank leaks badly. I realized this after putting the saw in the back of my vehicle for a day. It’s Fall time in the northwest and we get lots of wind storms, I figured having a new saw in my SUV would be good especially living in the woods. Unfortunately the saw leaks so much gas it will drain the entire tank in a day, it doesn’t matter if it’s sitting on the base or on its side. There definitely a flaw and it’s not coming from the fuel cap. To make matters worse I ordered the Neo tech 43cc saw at the same time as I ordered this one and that 43cc saw doesn’t work right as well. The 43cc saws bar oil pump doesn’t work. So I’m stuck working on two brand new saws from Neo Tech. If you want a saw that doesn’t work right take your chances with Neo Tech. If you just want a decent saw buy a different brand. I have had fairly good luck with other clones of stuff sold from amazon but these chainsaws are awful from this company. ... show more

  • Worth every penny
Size: 20 Inch
I love this chainsaw more than my huskivarnia 445 Plus full 2 year warranty for 20 dollars. I cut dead ash trees all year round and this cuts them like butter. The bar and chain are cheap but still very worth the price!
