  • GREAT, inexpensive saw. WANTS 25:1 GAS/OIL MIX, Parts ship directly from China! Yay Ecotech!
Size: 12 Inch
The media could not be loaded. Update 6-10-2025: First things first- this saw is truly a little beast. I thought I ruined it with the wrong fuel mix. NAW! Just mixed up the correct flavor and she fired right up and now runs perfectly. Easy starting and has gotten more powerful as it broke in. Second- Ecotech mailed me an air filter cover, from China, for free. They just asked for a photo of the broken part. Took a while but who cares. This is WORLD CLASS CUSTOMER SERVICE folks. BTW, and I don't use this saw every day, but it has at least 10-12 hours on it, and I'm still running the original chain! Pretty sweet saw for $135 or whatever. Don't miss out on getting one. Raised to 5 STARS! I got this saw for light work. At first it cut pretty well and I was happy with the saw. Unfortunately I didn't realize the saw wants 25:1 gas/oil mix and used standard 50:1. My bad, but I didn't think any saw makers were requiring 25:1. Anyway, saw now is very hard to start and won't idle. Did I ruin it? Don't know and I don't know how to contact the maker. Also, I dropped the saw and broke the retaining screw off the air filter cover so now that won't stay on unless I tie it on with string. I'd like to buy a replacement cover if possible. Ecotek, if you're reading this, can you supply parts to the US market? Thanks ... show more

  • I own 4 different NEOTECH saws.
Size: 12 Inch
This chainsaw is so nice. Light weight and easy to hold and use when in a tree. The size is perfect when in tight areas of the tree tops. This saw has great power to cut even the most dense woods. I cut a lot of shagbark hickory,. Red oak, white oak, and my favorite Osage orange also known as hedge. The latter being the most dense. And I can cut a 6" log in just a few seconds. I been running this saw from a few months now and it still starts easy and runs like new. Still have the chain it came with but I have shortened it one time. This saw also is ment to be used by arborist. And can be connected to the harness with a carabiner. I have a few Neotech chainsaws now. I have the 36" the 28" and the little 16" and now this 12" top handle saw. I do love the Neotech brand so much I am starting a channel to chainsaws. I will update with pictures and a video soon. I hope you find this helpful. 👍 helps me ... show more

  • good saw for the money
Size: 12 Inch
it's a little heavy for climbing with. after a couple months the choke lever came disconnected and the kill switch only works some times. It started easy and has all the safety features as the name brand saws. it's sharp and decent quality

  • Fantastic saw. Compares to my stihl ms290 for power
Size: 20 Inch
I'm not normally one to buy a knock off brand when it comes to gas powered equipment but I took a gamble on this saw. I'm blown away with how well this performs. It revs high, starts easy and runs strong. I felled 2 live oak trees with it back to back and chopped them Into 18 inch chunks. The saw handles really well. I do have 2 complaints. One being the bar, it is not as stout as other brands and after all the cutting the chain starter wearing into the metal and would cause the chain to wobble in the track. To fix this I threw my stihl farm boss bar on it after some slight modifications. Works great now. Two is the chain brake. When I first started it and it was new new it would slam shut while I was running it. I zip tied it shut and after running it a bit it's fine now. As you can see in the photo, my stihl ms290 is behind it, that saw blew up on me. Not wanting to spend 600 on a saw or 400 on rebuilding it, 160 bucks sounded alot better. I'll buy again if anything happens to this one. We'll worth the money ... show more

  • Love this saw!
Size: 12 Inch
Little saw rips. Sounds really good too. Brake works well. Can't push it to hard, but with a sharp chain and a full throttle. It cuts pretty darn good. Me and my brother do alot of tree work, and this saw has kept up with us for a few months now. We use it alot for climbing trees and cutting up smaller trees. Just keep it tuned and clean. Worth the money. FYI, when you take the chain cover off, the whole side is one piece. So to change chains, you remove the whole side panel in the process. Me personally, I didn't like that. ... show more

  • What a great little chainsaw if you set it up right
Size: 12 Inch
I got this to do climbing work around the property. I needed something small and light. It's a real ripper if you set it up right. First, replace the spark plug. I put in a Champion RCJ6Y gapped at .025. I don't trust the plugs that come in Chinese equipment after much experience with the issues they can cause. Second, remove the air cleaner and remove the metal plate over the mouth of the carb. It's just a restriction. Third, every single mesh air cleaner like this lets in fine dust. My other chainsaw has one and the inside of the filter and the mouth of the carb was caked in it. Get some air filter foam and cut it to size. Put a little air filter oil on it too. Soak the chain in bar and chain oil before installing it. Grease the bar sprocket too. The manual says to run 25:1 all the time. I'm assuming they're writing that based on garbage oil. What I always do is run 25:1 of non-athletic for the first three tanks, then run 40:1 full synthetic. Never had an issue. During break-in, never run it full throttle with no load. Run it like you're using it. I'm using Husky bar and chain oil. The manual says 10W-30. That's a huge no-no. It's not nearly tacky enough and it sprays all over. Tune it slightly rich on the high end. You want to hear it 4-stroke under load at full throttle without bogging. I was able to go out about a full turn without it bogging. Expect the chain to feel chunky but it should move freely without being loose. With all of that said, it starts 2nd pull even in 20 degrees F weather. I ran a tank and a half through it and it ran beautifully. Big chunks, eats through like crazy. The chain binds a bit on soft wood but that happens if you push too hard. With the right set up and good practices, this thing is a real runner. Perfect for those of us that do our own tree work or if you just want to cut up small trees and branches. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. My only concern is parts in the future. This is not a 2511 clone. It's slightly different and takes it's own parts. ... show more
