I am absolutely utterly in love with this colour ebook reader. Musnap knocked it out of the park with the neo c. I have owned it now for 8 days and have to say I've read more than I have in the last 8 years. That was my hope with this purchase that it would reignite my love of reading and it truly has. I'm not sure where to start so I'll start with the pros and cons: Pros: * Form factor - perfect handheld size and weight, portable and pocketable. * Battery life - I can use it day after day and not have to worry about it not having a charge. * Charging - quickly and is USB-C * Touch screen - super responsive and the color is a very nice feature. The backlight Is highly adjustable so can read in any situation. * Storage - plenty of room for your library * Google play services - access to the Google play store so can apps of choice (opera mini browser perfoms amazing) * UI - very easy to use and a ton of options to customize to your liking and needs. Cons: (I had to look hard for them) * The screen will ghost on occasion before refreshing. The refresh rate can be changed in the settings. * Google play services if left on (there is a setting to toggle on and off) will cause the battery life to decrease slightly (musnap, maybe could make a window pop up when enabling Google play services that notified the user of battery use) * Honest, hadn't found any other yet but will come back to update this in the future. I would definitely purchase the Musnap Neo C again if it were lost, stolen, broken, ran over by a train, stomped on by Jeff Bezos having a temper tantrum, fell off a very high place, etc.... I love this ebook reader so much that I will likely upgrade in the future to one of musnaps other ebook readers.

Don't buy this eReader. It will work well for a while and be nice to use, with its nice color panel and variety of options for controlling the color depth and refresh rate... Until you reboot it. Much like many of the other reviewers here, my Musnap Neo C ended up stuck on a blank screen unable to do anything or break free. The company disabled ADB and gutted the recovery so there's no saving it once it gets stuck here. Rebooting the device is a gamble because every time you do it you could end up stuck here too. The only recourse is to return it and buy something else. If you want Android and a color eInk screen, spend a little more and buy an Onyx Boox of some type. If you just want the color screen, Kobo products are cheaper. Don'buy this eReader.

Honestly a pretty nice device. Im looking for a pocket size e-reader that I can bring with me in places the Kindle Paperwhite is just too big to be comfortable. This Musnap is larger than I want it to be, but it’s a fairly good option for what’s out there right now. I’m not interested in one of the $250+ android phone e-ink devices out there, I really want as close as I can get to a 5” e-reader with a backlight. This is larger than that, but it’s one of the most compact 6” devices I have found. The screen is very nice, with a sharp image and a good backlight. I was able to load my ePub file onto it using wifi or the goofy OpenMTP program, but Calibre gave me an error when I tried to load directly from Calibre. Font support is excellent. I appears to support advanced OpenType glyphs - I tried it out with Garamond Premier Pro, and the long-tailed capital Q reaches under the next letters like it’s supposed to. The backlight supports warm-cool adjustment like the Kindle Paperwhite. This backlight is nicer than the very cool light on the standard Kindle. Ultimately, for less than $20 more, the Pocketbook Verse is a better device thanks to the superior software and physical buttons. The Musnap Neo is a little smaller, but it's just not as nice a device.

I have had this e-reader for a few months. Is to really give myself a chance to use it and decide what I really liked and disliked about this e-reader. I have to say I was totally against getting a dedicated e-reader in the beginning because I didn’t want something that was going to be big and bulky like a regular tablet that my kids were going to end up trying to take anyway to play games on. Getting this that is strictly for my ebooks though was worth it. I love that the screen is much bigger than my phone but still small enough that it fits in my back pocket, even with the case on it. The battery lasts for days when fully charged. I always download my books in the epub format so this e-reader was perfect for that. Though I do wish sometimes it was compatible with Kindle Unlimited, I’m ultimately glad it is separate from it. It is so easy to use and hasn’t given me any issues so far. The storage space in this thing is amazing, too! I have well over 500 books on mine and still have a ridiculous amount of storage space left. Being able to organize my books in to folders makes it so easy to keep track of what I have already. The only thing that would make this better is if it was available in more than one color. I definitely recommend this e-reader for anyone who likes to get their books from other sources besides Amazon Kindle.

This Musnap eReader can be very good and not so good depending on under what light you use to read. Under bright ambient light the Neo C has quite a nice screen, but when it comes to times when the internal backlight is used, it becomes more washed out and the screen suffers from light bleed, especially at the bottom edge. The gesture based user interface the Neo C has is not very intuitive and only works intermittently. Many instances I have to swipe several times before it registers a touch. Setting up the Musnap was more difficult than other devices I have used. For instance, Google Play Store was not actually available until I searched through the settings menu and found the toggle to enable it. When I tried logging in to Google the keyboard kept adding in spaces around a special character contained in my password, so it would not accept my password. After I finally realized this, I was able to successfully log in to Google and download Kindle and other apps, such as iHeart. I can happily report that streaming music over a Bluetooth speaker works well. As for this device's internal speaker, it is very tinny and doesn't get very loud, but at least it's there if you need it. Since most of my books are in the Kindle format I downloaded the Kindler eading app. Downloads and app udates are slow in general, but reading in the Kindle app is a good experience. In darkness with backlight in use, the weakness of the Neo C screen shows. If you are looking for a less expensive and smaller e-reader with a color screen for use under a reading lamp or outside in the sunlight and has android and Google Play Store this may be just what you're looking for.

the ghosting is so bad, and the lag it was unbearable I didnt even get past setting it up to read how bad the ghosting was. it makes me upset cause the price, size, and everything is fantastic. immediate return waste of money

You could call me an e-reader connoisseur. I have had every brand from Kobo, Kindle, Boox, BigMe, XTEINK, Pocketbook, etc. I saw this brand on Amazon for really inexpensive and decided to just try it out bc I was looking for monochrome black and white e-reader. I was so surprised at the quality when I got it! I also bought the page turning button case and it’s amazing. Posting a pic of the MuSnap Neo next to Kobo Clara. It’s the same or better in my opinion. I want to try the MuSnap Ocean next and put it next to my Kobo Libra for comparison. Would recommend!
