This light is sturdy and seems like it can take a beating, I've been using it for a while doing suspension work on my offroad vehicle. One thing that I've been wishing this had were better magnet placements. This only has two small magnets on the rear, I'd much prefer to either have a swivel head or to have magnets on the front side also, although an end cap magnet would also be helpful. At times I find my self struggling under my truck trying to find a way to get this light to mount where I need it but the rear only tiny magnets are frustrating to work with. ... show more

I've bought tons of the Neiko led lights over the years because of the overall value of their product, and these are one of the best all around cordless lights around. Lets start with the fact that an adjustable brightness UV array is included with this light. It will make any UV dye glow with maximum intensity on the brightest setting, while the lower intensities allows fine tuning the amount of UV for the situation. This was bright enough to show a/c dye in a sunlit work bay, in which only a plug in UV light was the only option, now this will be what I grab for that purpose. The main light is plenty bright, with five levels of adjustment. On the brightest setting, its brighter then any other Neiko light I have used. I typically use the normal setting or next highest setting as the battery life will last around 2 - 2.5 hours on highest setting. On the normal setting it last 4-5 hours. on the lower settings it will last more then an 8 hour work day which is great. The redesigned case and red rubber grip is a nice addition. The older lights were easy to forget under hood especially if the battery ran dead as they had no other color but black on the handle. The new lights are more visible when off. They also integrated the magnets into the case and built a nice hook unto the top of the unit, a great improvement over the prior clip on hooks and magnets. They also have a blue 3 light charge indicator on the back of the unit that is always light when the light is on. The only negative with this light package is the lack of a wall wart to plug the light into for charging. They do supply the new USB-C cable. Used the older wall warts from lost lights so this was not a hinderance for me. Any 5 volt wall wart will work. All in all I am very satisfied with the performance and durability of this new design in a professional automotive shop setting and would recommend them to anyone! ... show more
