I am normally a Godox user. I have tried neewer products before but never tried their flashes. What let me to try this flash is two things. First, the price was less expensive than Godox. Second, they include a godox compatible slave mode to the wireless capabilties of the flash. So that means even though I have many godox triggers and godox flashes, I can definitely use this neewer flash as part of the same ecosystem. The only thing I can't do with it is control my godox flashes, but that's perfectly fine as I have separate standalone triggers to control my godox flashes. As far as brightness level, it supports the same standard 75ws that the godox v1 and v1pro support. This flash seems to be named in a way that you can kind of match it with the equivalent godox model. While using it, I did notice it makes a distinctive but pleasant pop sound every time it flahes. Also there is no dedicated power switch but its very easy to turn it on and off just pressing the center button and holding it for a second or two. The flash has the stand titling that ever flash has, 90, 180 degrees etc. so you can use it to bounce light. Another great thing isn that the round head was compatible and had magnetic mounts for my godox round head diffuser! So overall I'm very happy with it and will probably look into more neewer flashes, especially if they also support godox compabitilitiy mode ... show more

The NEEWER Z2PRO-N is an excellent flash. The round head gives smoother, more natural-looking light than a traditional rectangular flash, and the output is strong and consistent. Recycle times are fast, TTL works great on Nikon, and the built-in 2.4G works perfectly with the Godox/Neewer system. The interface is simple, intuitive, and the battery life is impressive. Wow! I am a professional photographer. I have only owned Canon Speedlites and I haven't been very happy with the last one I purchased. I am so thankful I tried this Speedlite for an event I had to capture. It's perfect and easy.

    • A Chevy version of a Buick and a more affordable GODOX V1.

I have owned and used a number of NEEWER flash units, including this one in both its Sony and Nikon versions. The NEEWER flash units are always a cheaper and slightly downgraded version of the current flashes offered by GODOX. They provide good solid value. The relationship between NEEWER and GODOX units is one of those things that there is endless speculation about online, sort of like where exactly does COSTCO source its KIRKLAND liquor. Like a lot of private label arrangements the answer to who actually makes something seems to be a deep dark secret. It's generally assumed that they come from the same factory and that the NEEWER units are Chevrolet to the GODOX units being Buick. I have had nothing but good results from my NEEWER Z2 unit, while also wishing I had some of the nicer features of my latest GODOX flash. The Z2Pro is generally speaking a clone of the GODOX V1. My only gripes about the Z2Pro compared to the latest GODOX units is that although the NEEWER has a much better upgraded OLED screen compared to the V1, which still uses an old school LED type display, the screen is only in monochrome, the latest GODOX screens have color. Likewise the latest GODOX interfaces, like on the V480, have touch screen control, the NEEWER does not. And last but not least although both GODOX and NEEWER use near identical batteries the batteries are not interchangeable from one brand to the other. But on sale NEEWER units are a good value and perform well. ... show more

I use this on my a7iv and a7rv and this is perfect. I have had no complaints, and make sure to carry this around to every shoot. Works great for both portrait and automobile, and I am in love with it. The weight is just perfect, has a great battery life, and works perfectly with my sony cams. The brightness is perfect for flash, but doesn't work well as a light. The rotations are standard, but only goes up and down I think. ... show more
