    • Excellent quality for a third-party brand

It works perfectly and I can use it on both Canon and Sony cameras (not TTL on Sony). Highly recommended if you don't want to spend a lot of money.

    • Godox V100: Small Body, Serious Power
Model: V100S
The Godox V100 has become one of my go-to lights for event work. Having 100 watts of power in a speedlight-sized package is unreal. For concerts, parties, corporate events, and on-the-move portraits, this thing delivers consistent punch without ever slowing me down. The biggest advantage is the recycle time. Being able to fire rapid shots without waiting for the flash to refresh keeps me in the moment—no missed reactions, no awkward pauses, no worrying about the light keeping up. It truly lets you shoot all night with confidence. Ergonomically, it’s lightweight and easy to maneuver, whether I’m bouncing light, going off-camera, or running it on-camera for quick movement around a venue. Event shooters will appreciate just how efficient it makes the workflow. As for downsides, I’m not the biggest fan of the wheel—it feels a bit basic compared to how refined the rest of the unit is. And I’m still getting used to the touchscreen interface, but it’s responsive and becomes intuitive once you dial in your muscle memory. Overall, the Godox V100 gives you true 100W power, fast recycling, and all-night reliability in a compact form factor. If you shoot events or need a powerful, portable flash solution, this one is absolutely worth picking up. ... show more

    • Phenomenal performance and excellent battery.
Model: V100C (U)
Fantastic flash! Huge upgrade over my older OEM Canon flash. I'm submitting this without images ironically, but the first time using it was for a wedding and I can't publish their images. I'm thrilled with the ease of use and overall functionality. I was a little annoyed with the touchscreen at times. It would change settings with my forehead touching it. So I had to quickly get used to locking and unlocking the screen. Other than that, I'll be getting a couple more to add for slave units. Definitely get yourself an extra battery or two if you are planning on using the modeling light or will be shooting throughout the day. The fact you can easily connect a battery pack is clutch! Easy and inexpensive upgrade. ... show more

    • CORRECTION: Now works with help from Godox techsupport (firmware update)
Model: V100S
CORRECTION to ORIGINAL REVIEW: In the original review, I complained about Godox support but failed to see their immediate reply to my query. Apologies to Godox ([email protected]). Problem#1: V100S does not work correctly with my Sony a6500. a6500 is listed as compatible. Problem #2: Godox firmware update not installed because Godox software did not recognize the V100S (connected by USB-C directly to laptop). Action: With one change recommended by Godox and another change discovered by trial and errorthe updated firmware was installed correctly and the V100S now works with my a6500. Changes to the firmware update procedure: 1) V100S: Menu|New Agreement changed from ON to OFF. 2) Instead of connecting the V100S directly to my laptop (via USB-C), I tried connecting to the laptop via the docking station. Don't know why this is necessary but it works. With these changes, the software saw the V100S and installed the firmware update. My Sony a6500 now sees the V100S and the photos indicate that the flash is working. Yay! 4 stars instead of 5 because techsupport was great but haven't used the V100S in the field, yet. ORIGINAL REVIEW: It is probably a great flash but doesn't work with my camera (yes, it's on the compatibility list). Firmware update, right? The Godox firmware software does not see the flash and Godox does not answer my support requests. Very disappointed. ... show more

    • Nothing to complain about
Model: V100 N USA(2025)
What I can say, everything is as I expected it was included the metal ring and I can use the magnetic dome diffuser. Some reviews complain about the touch screen, well you can lock the screen and it takes a second to lock or unlock. Nothing to complain about!
