  • It works!
It’s a bit dated but does the job. It is light weight and gives you hands free while speaking, easy to plug in and go! It comes in handy when need it.

  • Good quality, easy to use and versatile setup. Sounds great!
The media could not be loaded. Just got this Neewer Microphone Headset and am quite happy with it. It is lightweight and doesn't get in the way. I wore a lavalier mic as well for demonstration purposes, but mostly use the NEEWER in the accompanying video. The Neewer 2-part design allows for a great degree of choice in wearing and positioning. I prefer a "round part over the ears" method with the mic to my left and the headband to the back of my head. There's no right or wrong way, you just need to experiment with the way that works best for your activity, head, hair, etc. Wear it with band on top, wear it band behind, mic left or right. The magnetic attachment between the headband and mic boom makes this very easy to flip and bend the band or mic boom in any direction to make it best for you. The cable is plenty long enough to get to a wireless belt pack or use a TRS extension cable to hard wire into a PA. Also, I use an inexpensive external sound card/adaptor that allows me to input the headset into one of my 2025 MacBook Air's USB-C ports and be recognized by the System and available to my DAW or Editor. What I did miss during recording the video is that the NEEWER is a relatively "hot" mic and I clipped the inputs of my recorder a tiny bit. You'll hear that as "crunchiness" in the video. Not the mic's fault - my bad. The mic comes with a foam wind screen to minimize "P" pops and other breath/wind noises. It really helps. Try to place your mic at the right or left edge of your mouth so it's not in a direct line of those pops or even breathing noise through your nose. Also looks a bit better than having it cover your mouth whether live or on a video. The mic is a super-directional noise cancelling type, meaning it picks up most sound from its front, and in close proximity, and little sound from its sides and back helping to isolate just your voice. Sounds coming from further and further away rapidly drop off in level, more than you'd expect, and this is the "noise-cancelling" effect. The other advantage to this headset mic setup is that your voice remains at a constant level at the mic, unlike what happens with a lavalier. Lavaliers are very nice in many situations as they hide easily, but when you turn your head, the lavalier changes volume level, and sometimes quite a lot. With the headset, I can turn my head freely without a change in volume level, as the mic stays in position and moves exactly with me. The Neewer headset mic is a great choice for, as they describe, teachers, lecturers, trainers, etc., but I'm going to use it as a convenient and rock steady voiceover microphone for my videos. ... show more

  • it's k
This is a pretty good headset. It's relatively comfortable, has a decently long cable, and decent pickup. I'm knocking a star off because it only attaches to one side and due to the construction of the unit it can't be worn with that side left or right, it's left only. I don't think there's a real reason for this other than cost savings. Given that the attachment is just a magnet, making the right side have a magnet with the accompanying notches would mean you could wear the mic on either side. If you are ok with only wearing the mic on the left side this is a good option. ... show more

  • Light and easy
The media could not be loaded. Audio through the mic is clear, and it is easy to set up and use. I was able to effectively use it with my phone in order to test it. It is light and simple and achieves it's goals. There is some background noise but I can't be sure if that is due to the mic or a device used to connect the mic to the phone ... show more
