I love this tripod. It is great and solid as a traditional tripod. It changes to a horizontal bar that lets me set my camera in some awkward positions. I have been able to extend it over a water feature (a fountain) in order to get a perspective of being in the water just above the surface. I have been ably to use it as a boom to swing my camera around small flowers or other macro subjects without the tripod legs getting in the way. Another great use for the tripod is DSLR scanning film negatives on a tight table. The head is easily replaced if you need another mount on it. I have not found a negative yet.

Wonderful tripod! I really appreciate the adjustable horizontal bar which helps me get shots I could never get before, like overhead shots!! There's so many points of flexibility/adjustment with the heights and angles. It feels really sturdy and it's easy to figure out how to adjust different parts of the tripod. I think the only thing that's a negative is the knob that controls the angle of the horizontal bar portion. I feel like I have to tighten it really well otherwise, with the weight of my cameras, it might dip forward a little too much after I've already tightened it. That makes me afraid that one day the camera will just smack onto the table. But then it's really really difficult to loosen the knob again. My fingernails have definitely suffered in trying to loosen that particular knob.

Receive product right before NY , good delivery. excellent quality and not only in their built of the tripod but also in the carrying bag for it! sturdy and heavy duty. My only only only concern is that carrying bag might be slightly bigger to accommodate the tips and holders of the phone/iPad comfortably but this wont worth taking a star pout for sure. P.S. If you have any concerns on lifting the heavy item you might wanna skip on this one, since it will take toll on your back, although its very much required since physics dictates that we would have a heavy thing to counterweight the heavy camera, at the long elongation/angle...
