  • Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012
Platform For Display: PlayStation Vita
The Original Need For Speed Most Wanted that came out in 2005 was one of my favorite PS2 games. When I saw that they were making a new version for the Vita (which was in need of a good racing game) I knew that I had to get it. It shares little with its predecessor but it is still very fun. My favorite part of the original was free roaming and that mode is still very much intact. The game revolves around the "Most Wanted Racers", you must take your vehicle and beat them in a race. After defeating them you take them out to acquire their cars. Some of the races are fairly difficult and others are very easy. I had a hard time completing the first Most Wanted race using the ZR1. After that I beat more than half of them with the GTR on my first or second attempt. Each of the cars have 5 races ranging in difficulty. You will find that a lot of the races are the same, you just use a different car when doing them. Sometimes you are the Mclaren that races the Bugatti, Aventador, and Huayra. Other times you are the Bugatti racing the MP4-12C, Aventador, and Huayra. Some races like "Needle Point" in the Veyron I found quite challenging and frustrating. The cops can get annoying. Especially when a SUV rams you in the begining of a speed run. The graphics are pretty impressive especially considering that the game is open world. Next to Asphalt there is no comparison, Most Wanted wins hands down. Next to the console version however there are noticable differences. For example the spoiler on the Veyron doesn't move on the vita. Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference between an opponent and traffic car. Instead of ramming your opponent you end up smashing a traffic car. Sometimes a median will seen to pop up. All in all however the graphics are very good and one of the games strong points. The game has loads of exotic cars and high end sports cars. You will find yourself in lamborghinis and cars like that. The sensation of building up is gone however you can drive an Audi R8 GT from day one. This may be an issue for some people. I have not played too much multiplayer but what I played was fun. There are all sorts of unique races online. Like who can get to the top of the building fron the loop structure first. Or who can jump off of the side of a cliff the most times. For the most part it runs smoothly but at times it will lag a little, where you think you are going to smash your opponent but he vanishes and is far ahead of you. Overall this game is one of my favorite Vita games. It is a great game to just pick up and drive around in. I would reccommend it to anyone who enjoys racing games and it looking for a good open world vita game. The vacancy of a good racer on the Vita has been filled with this game. ... show more

  • best race game for the ps vita so far!
Platform For Display: PlayStation Vita
so far this game has some of the best looking graphics of the ps vita to date! game play is smooth and is exactly same as the ps 3 version. while it is different than the original most wanted its a solid racer in it own right. and having to look for cars in jack spots around the map gives free roam mode more reason to play than just to get into pursuits with cops and it refreshing that you can unlock any car that way without having to grind for in game money to buy them:) . one thing is for sure the game play mechanics does borrow heavily from burnout paradise. in fact i think criterion did so more in this game than they did with hot pursuit. kinda makes me hope they remake and relaunch a burnout paradise for the vita. ... show more

  • Horrible reiteration of a good game
Platform For Display: PlayStation Vita
I have been a huge NFS fan since the beginning. So far have enjoyed most of the games and thought this would be a good redo of a pretty decent NFS game. Boy was I wrong. This game truly sucks. I would have to say it is probably one of the worst but not the worst. That title goes to NFS:The Run. Needless to say its pretty horrible. I don't honestly know what EA is thinking having Criterion make this game. They are only good at making Burnout and suck at making NFS. Here are my reasons for disliking the game. - No customization at all. Not even a little bit. - Controls are atrocious. - The crash cam thing is really annoying. - The camera bouncing up and down whenever I go over a jump and hit the ground is disorienting and annoying. - No story line. I know some people don't like that in a racer but if I am playing NFS:MW I want a story line like I had in the original. - The graphics are ok but could be better. - The layout of the city is a horrible design and has way to much crap in it. I really wanted to like this game and forced myself to play even though it wasn't enjoyable, thinking I would get use to the controls, but it didn't change. The more I played the more I hated this game. Now I wont even check out Criterion/EA's next NFS game. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone who wants a good NFS game like we have had in the past and I will either be returning this or selling it. ... show more

  • "Loud Powerful Sports Cars "
Platform For Display: PlayStation Vita
I can't even speak right now. I can't brag enough on this game. I was so blown away of how the reflection of the sun and rich detailed visuals seem to pop right out of the screen at you. Roar pass the cops going 160MPH in loud powerful sports cars. Give them a run for their money, and lead them into traps, then leave them 1 mile behind. Go into a dark alley cut off the engine and lights while the back tires smoke, and watch the cops blow right pass you like fools as you hide in the shadows letting your heat level cool down. Seconds latter the heat meter lowers then you've evaded the cops. The only thing left to say is just buy the game. It's fun and very addicting. ... show more

Platform For Display: PlayStation Vita
great game. if you are a fan of burnout paradise city you will love this game. Crietion has done it again. They have made a game that free range. you can drive anywhere, go anywhere. you also get to crash through fences, drive up ramps and over passes to bust out the billboards, plus you get chased by the cops. I love how the game shows you your fastest times through speed zones, your longest air jump for billboards and how long you spend in each car. the best part is that you drive around and find even cooler cars to drive, just get out of the old crashed up car and into say a new corvette. this game has it all,..........why are you still reading buy this already! ... show more
