🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

Customers generally report high satisfaction with the PlayStation Vita, praising its condition upon arrival—often described as "like new" and well-packaged. Despite being a Japanese model, which causes some confusion due to the reversed X and O buttons, users are happy with its performance and build quality. Only a rare few have encountered issues such as stick drift and non-functioning buttons.

Pros

  • 🎮 Device often arrives in excellent or like-new condition
  • 📦 Well-packaged for transit
  • 🔧 Reversible language settings for international users
  • 🕹️ Good system performance and quality
  • 🌐 Ability to log into any regional PlayStation account

Cons

  • ❗ Japanese model may have reversed X and O buttons, confusing for some
  • 📚 Manuals arrive in Japanese, potentially challenging for non-Japanese speakers
  • 🛑 Rare reports of stick drift and non-functioning buttons
  • 🔋 Charger may feel like a cheap knockoff

Should I Buy It?

If you are comfortable with the quirks of a Japanese model, such as the button reversal, and do not mind the possibility of replacing the charger, the PlayStation Vita seems like a solid purchase. The overwhelmingly positive feedback on the device’s condition and performance suggests that it is a good buy for someone looking to play their favorite games on a reliable handheld system.

  • The Best Purchase I've Made
I bought a Vita from a Japanese reseller a couple of months ago. Let me tell you all, it was the best purchase I've ever made! The Vita was packaged very well in a couple of layers of bubble wrap, and it was fairly easy to set up out of the box. Even though it didn't come with a charger, the product itself can be charged with a micro USB cable, making it convenient to charge. The Vita itself had barely any cosmetic defects, and each button worked well, and the console booted normally, no issues. After I modded it and loaded some games on it, I am confident to say it was the best purchase I've made on Amazon so far. ... show more

  • 100% Satisfied with my Vita!
I was concerned when I ordered it if it would really be in decent shape, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Vita. I ordered Used-Very Good, and it is better than "very good". There were a few minor blemishes on the back, and the Select button does not have much travel, but otherwise the unit is perfect. The screen is pristine, battery life is excellent. All the buttons and back TouchPad work perfectly. I would 100% buy it again. No regrets at all. Be prepared for long shipping times and perhaps no box, but you get everything you need. ... show more

  • Beyond happy!
I got this from Awesome Gift Store Tokyo & I couldn't be happier with the condition! I was NOT expecting to receive a PSvita in such good condition, but as you can see by the photos both the box and the system are in amazing shape. I had recently bought one from E bay and it was junk so I came here and I'm so glad I did! I highly recommend them as a seller and I highly recommend the PSvita. The key is to read the description on every possible buying choice and see which one has the best & most consistent positive reviews. That's what I did and I'm happy I found them. 😊 ... show more

  • Great portable gaming device. 4/5 stars
I bought this a while back in February and drastically liked it better than the original PSVita. I adore this device. I also own the very popular Nintendo 3DS XL. I do live in the US. So, lets cut to the chase. CONS: Trigger buttons are 'janky' and makes you feel like you will break them whilst playing racing games. Lack of quality games. (Over time hopefully more games will be offered, in the future such as Borderlands 2) When having your fingers on the device, you occasionally cover up the speakers. Sony should have seened this coming. The switch between the x and the o is annoying but when you think about it, that makes since. You will get used to it after a while. PROS: Good battery life. Great multitasking Design looks stellar and how it should have originally looked in the first place. Not a cheap feel everywhere else (except for the trigger buttons as mentioned above.) Came in a astonishing 2-3 days via prime membership. Great screen and processing power, beats the N3DS outta the ball park. The YouTube app especially works very well, and other applications. Thank god that the PSVita 2000 is not region locked. Which means that you can purchase a game in the US and play it on the Japanese PS Vita 2000. Sony is open to indie developers and there are a library of indie games. INITIAL THOUGHTS: This is a good product, I wanted to be a early adopter. The only slight concern will ... show more

  • Amazing little handheld
I had a PSP before and loved that device so I was always curious about the vita. I'm pretty late to the party now but getting this hand held has been a blast. There are a variety of games to play but unfortunately with little support from Sony themselves. I bought a 32gb memory card with it and I've downloaded 17 games so far with more space to go. It's a console I wish I had picked up earlier when it was still in its younger years. There are some downsides such as the cost of the memory cards, and some of the games themselves on the psn store can be up in price despite being older titles, however there are weekly sales so they can be lowered. It also plays Playstation 1 and PSP games which expands the library of games. Overall, I would recommend this little device. If you can get past the cost of memory cards, you'll find a lot of games on here to enjoy. ... show more
