Description

When your ride's perfectly styled and hyper tuned, and you're ready to ramp up the intensity, drive out into the night where you and your crew take on the competition in illicit Street races that build your reputation and grant you access to bigger races and better parts. But under the cover of darkness patrols a rogue task force looking to bring you down and swipe all you've earned. Take them on and risk it all for underground glory or head back to your safe house and begin another thrilling day. The roads, the risks, and the rides never end in this Street racer where your crew rolls deep, your garage is full of hot cars, and the city's your nonstop playground.

Pretty fun game, though the story line is pretty short. Multiplayer isn’t enjoyable because it seems no matter how fast my car is, it’s like I’m walking compared to other connected players in the game. And just being able to honk at each other is stupid. As for single player mode, I like the arcade racer genre very much, and the cop chases are more difficult. It has replay ability after the story is complete, but it’s really just to collect more cars. Personally I think the off-road events are the most fun, but they are also the least available compared to race and drift events. A definite improvement over the previous NFS games, but there is still a lot of room for playing improvement. One specific annoyance is the inability to change the controls. The horn is located as a push on the left stick which also has major functionality for steering, so frequently as I turn a corner, the horn goes off. SUPER ANNOYING, seemingly an easy fix by allowing custom button controls. ... show more

I have played every need for speed game and this is one of the better ones. Escaping cops only at night is a bit more challenging. Beautiful graphics and great car physics. If your a fan definitely pick this one up.

I didn't expect to like this game as much as I do. I am pleasantly surprised. I like being able to upgrade the cars to racer, drift, or off road. NFS Heat lets you buy/customize your car with engines, super and turbo charges, tires, suspensions, police radar, inner cooling system, computer processors and so on. Cool. You race during the day primarily for $, but at night for reputation points to unlock cars and mods to purchase. The police chase you at night. They have better faster cars. Corvettes, Camaros, and Chargers. They deploy road stops, stop sticks, and pit maneuvers. If they catch you before you get to the garage than you lose your $ and rep. Pts.
