For my size 150ish pounds, it is firm and solid, a little too firm for side sleeping, but I just popped the old topper in cover on this and it is wonderful. I’ve been very impressed with the Nectar Classic 12” Memory Foam Mattress. The medium-firm feel strikes a great balance between support and comfort. It contours nicely without feeling like you’re sinking too much, and it does a great job relieving pressure on the back and shoulders. The cooling top layer is a nice touch as well. I tend to sleep warm and this mattress stays comfortable through the night. Setup was easy (typical mattress-in-a-box), and it expanded quickly once unwrapped.     • Not What We Hoped For-EDITED! It’s perfect!

We’ve had this mattress out for almost 72 hours with 2 nights of sleep. Was not impressed. #1 our mattress never went to its full size. Each corner was dented in and it caused the middle to be much higher than the rest of the bed. 2. It advertised this mattress as a 6.5 between firmness and softness. We needed some sort of firmness so that I could breastfeed, yet be soft enough to be comfortable. I haven’t found firmness. After sitting (or applying too much pressure at pressure points of the body) I sink so far in that my MIDDLE BACK feels the mattress. This also makes it extremely hard to breastfeed. When trying to adjust, the baby sinks into the pressure spots (as I apply more pressure than she does due to adult vs child). Even after NUMEROUS pillows, there is just no support, especially since the mattress never evened out. 3. The last 2 nights of sleeping on this mattress, I’ve awaken with pain in one of my legs. (I have to sleep on my side to breastfeed and I alternate throughout the night). And the pain hasn’t died down. This mattress was advertised to ease pain, not cause it- but I’m having the opposite effect. Ultimately, we will be trying to return this ASAP. Update!: we decided to keep it a little longer and allow it to shape/form correctly. We placed it on an actual bed support and it was immediately a change for the better. I’m not sure if all the cushion on carpeted floor was the reason, but it was night & day after putting it on a platform bed. Super comfortable, and the movement doesn’t effect everyone sleeping in the bed. Reminds me of that wine commercial mattress. I haven’t done wine, but I’ve done a glass of water and it held place while I got off the bed. It hugs your body without making you feel like you’re sinking into the mattress. Super comfortable & the mattress shaped itself out in a few days after my initial review. No body pains, better sleep, and even my husband doesn’t snore as much or as loud when he does snore. Definitely such a difference from when he falls asleep on the couch watching tv. SO grateful we gave it time & kept it! Definitely a gem for a fraction of the cost of other mattresses. 💯 ... show more

I write this review nearly 10 months after purchase. As with anything that can wear over time- you never know what you will get until you have ridden it out just a little bit. PROS: -Slightly lighter than most memory foam -Stays cooler than most memory foam -10 months in, we do a 180 rotation every 3 months, switch sides every 3 months. NO PERMANENT DIVOTS YET! -easy to move on when adjusting in the middle of the night unlike some memory foam mattresses. - Cover comes off, easy to clean, doesn't hold much body soil anyways. CONS: -if you don't have dog legs on your frame, or a recess for the mattress it will slide very easily. - Fabric pills very easily on the cover, even after removal. Overall- Happy with the purchase, quality, and nights sleep I have had on this since purchase. Would buy again. ... show more

We decided on the spur of the moment to finally upgrade our mattress during this past prime day sale and ended up getting a great deal on the King sized Nectar Mattress. It was half off, I’ve heard great things about these beds in the past and after carefully doing some research just to make sure it would fit our needs, decided why the heck not and purchased the bed. It came within three days and after setting up a new bed frame for it we unboxed it-which I would do with help as the box is heavy and the sealed plastic covering the bed is a little harder to get off alone, although I’m sure someone could do it by themselves but would be much easier with help. Some reviews said the bed takes days to fully inflate but ours inflated fully within moments, almost instantly. The picture attached to my review is taken not even twenty minutes after we unboxed the bed. It is firm but also has the memory foam feel that has your body sinking in slightly and conforming to your body as you lay down. I’m a shorter, bigger woman about 260 lbs and it’s just the right amount of soft and firm for me. I add that because some people have suggested that the hybrid model mattress is a better fit for larger people as the medium firm model may be too firm and uncomfortable for larger bodies. I’m so ridiculously comfortable and relaxed in this bed and have slept better than I have in quite a while so that’s not the case for me at least. My fiancé is about 190 and taller and he’s equally comfortable and satisfied with the bed. This is simply the best mattress we’ve had in ages, only to be rivaled with our old Tempur-Pedic we had years ago which was the best sleep I ever got on any mattress in my twenty some years of life. This bed is up there on that level though and more affordable so I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase. If your debating whether to buy this bed or not I wouldn’t wait, amazing sleep and comfort are just an order away! ... show more
