Description

Neater Feeder is the world's first pet feeding system for dogs and cats that contains spills and splashes and separates spilled food from spilled water. Spilled water drains into the lower reservoir while spilled food stays off the floor, so it can be safely reused or easily discarded! Created for dogs weighing 30-100 pounds and includes one 7 cup stainless steel food bowl and one 9 cup extra capacity stainless steel water bowl. Also included are a set of 4 non-skid inserts. The Neater Feeder for Large Dogs has a standard bowl height of 8 inches. Taller dogs at the upper end of this weight range may be more comfortable with Leg Extensions (sold separately), which raise the bowl height to 11-inches. Made from recyclable polypropylene plastic and is top rack dishwasher safe! The Neater Feeder Deluxe for Large Dogs also is compatible with the Neater Pet Brands Slow Feed Bowl, which is sold separately.

Well-made and sturdy product. Greatly reduces the amount of water that hits the floor. I think only issue I see is that the food bowl is so close to the water bowl, the food bowl always gets the water splashed in it as well. But you can't fix everything! Overall, it helps reduce the mess.

I bought the Neater Feeder Deluxe for my two Golden Retrievers, Maggie & Max, and I am SO glad I did! If you have messy eaters or water slingers (you know the type 😂), this is a game changer. It really does what it says keeps the food and water contained instead of all over my floors. The raised design is great for them, and I love that the spills get caught underneath instead of running everywhere. It’s sturdy, easy to clean, and honestly just makes feeding time so much less of a mess and stress. I wish I had bought this sooner! I love my lab Bree she’s a great dog. However… she’s a sloppy bitch. The walls behind her food and water bowls are no longer covered with water and food. The high walls around the bowls act as a slash guard and catch everything. The water and food bowls are plenty big to accommodate her needs. It's a little expensive, but it's a really good product. My son's dog is really a sloppy drinker and this product avoides water being everywhere. Is give it 5 stars if it was not so expensive.

It was hard to spend this much on a feeder for my very messy eating dog, but the mess we had to clean up every time our Irish Setter ate was driving us crazy. We tried bigger and deeper bowls and used bigger and bigger area rugs to limit the dry food and water from spreading over the kitchen floor but this never really worked. Within 4-5 feet of her old feeding area you could always find dry food and a lot of water, after slipping twice from water on the floor my wife said Fix it NOW!! Next Best thing? So I researched and read tons of reviews on all types of feeding setups but the "Neater Feeder" seemed to cover all of our needs, but cost was double the other raised bowl systems. But the overall design seemed to cover all of our needs and I figured if it did not at least improve the mess by 50% I'd return it. WOW!!! This Neater Feeder all but eliminated the issues by at least 90%, we no longer have to sweep up dry food every day and keep a roll of paper towels close by to wipe up the water on the floor, we don't even have to use a rug under the unit. Wife is happy, which makes my life sooo much better. We got the "Large" feeder since we have an Irish Settler [10 months], I was afraid the large would be too high for her but I thing the height helps lessen the mess. System Design and Bowls The "Neater Feeder" design was well thought out and it does cover almost any messy eating habits of your dog. The high outside walls and separate water drain keeps the dry food and water contained very well. In most cases any food that falls out of my dogs mouth hits the sides and falls back into the bowl or rolls down to the drain. The area were the bowls sit is slightly sloped to the drainage slots in the front of the top tray. This channels spilled water and food nicely, since the water is drained to a lower compartment the dry food stays dry enough for my dog to just eat that too. Both bowls are aluminum so they will never rust. I was worried the bowls would not be big enough, but they are and the water bowl is bigger [deeper] than the food bowl. After a few feedings we found filling the water and food bowls 2/3's or less also greatly reduced the mess too. The food bowl holds more than our dog eats at one time, since we have only one dog the food bowl always has food in it. The bowls are easily removable since there is a cutout on the holder to put your finger in to remove each bowl. I highly recommend you give this "Neater Feeder " a try, if you are tried of cleaning up that area when your dog eats or drinks it worth it. It's nice not to have to clean up this area every time we walk into the kitchen or have people over. ... show more

    • I Loved It! My Dog? Not So Much

This was exactly what I was looking for -- something that was elevated so that my large dog did not have to bend all the way to the floor to eat -- and something that had a back splash to keep food from being slopped on the floor and walls. I also appreciated the color options and found one that coordinated with my kitchen colors. It was easy to keep it clean, and it was lightweight in terms of being able to lift it and move it around as needed. The very sad and tragic part of all of this is that my dog REFUSED to eat out of it. We got to the point where we allowed her to go hungry so that she had no other choice but to eat out of the feeder, and she still refused. I think part of this is that she's an older dog and is very set in her ways. If we had found this when she was younger, she would likely have adjusted more easily. So... we've donated it to a local animal shelter. I truly loved it, and I know others will, too -- just make sure your dog is in agreement. ... show more
