Description

Neater Feeder is the world's first pet feeding system for dogs and cats that contains spills and splashes and separates spilled food from spilled water. Spilled water drains into the lower reservoir while spilled food stays off the floor, so it can be safely reused or easily discarded! Created for dogs weighing 30-100 pounds and includes one 7 cup stainless steel food bowl and one 9 cup extra capacity stainless steel water bowl. Also included are a set of 4 non-skid inserts. The Neater Feeder for Large Dogs has a standard bowl height of 8 inches. Taller dogs at the upper end of this weight range may be more comfortable with Leg Extensions (sold separately), which raise the bowl height to 11-inches. Made from recyclable polypropylene plastic and is top rack dishwasher safe! The Neater Feeder Deluxe for Large Dogs also is compatible with the Neater Pet Brands Slow Feed Bowl, which is sold separately.

I have a small Yorkie with no teeth who gets more water on the floor than in his mouth. There is so much water in front of his bowl it soaks whatever I use to try to keep the floor dry. I have tried everything! I bought this with low expectations but it has worked! No more water in front of the feeding bowls at all, the floor is dry. It is amazing to see how much water is in the bottom of the container when I empty it. After a few days of use I empty the water in the bottom and it's almost half full of water which would normally be on my floor, carpet, pad, etc. . I love this product. ... show more

It was hard to spend this much on a feeder for my very messy eating dog, but the mess we had to clean up every time our Irish Setter ate was driving us crazy. We tried bigger and deeper bowls and used bigger and bigger area rugs to limit the dry food and water from spreading over the kitchen floor but this never really worked. Within 4-5 feet of her old feeding area you could always find dry food and a lot of water, after slipping twice from water on the floor my wife said Fix it NOW!! Next Best thing? So I researched and read tons of reviews on all types of feeding setups but the "Neater Feeder" seemed to cover all of our needs, but cost was double the other raised bowl systems. But the overall design seemed to cover all of our needs and I figured if it did not at least improve the mess by 50% I'd return it. WOW!!! This Neater Feeder all but eliminated the issues by at least 90%, we no longer have to sweep up dry food every day and keep a roll of paper towels close by to wipe up the water on the floor, we don't even have to use a rug under the unit. Wife is happy, which makes my life sooo much better. We got the "Large" feeder since we have an Irish Settler [10 months], I was afraid the large would be too high for her but I thing the height helps lessen the mess. System Design and Bowls The "Neater Feeder" design was well thought out and it does cover almost any messy eating habits of your dog. The high outside walls and separate water drain keeps the dry food and water contained very well. In most cases any food that falls out of my dogs mouth hits the sides and falls back into the bowl or rolls down to the drain. The area were the bowls sit is slightly sloped to the drainage slots in the front of the top tray. This channels spilled water and food nicely, since the water is drained to a lower compartment the dry food stays dry enough for my dog to just eat that too. Both bowls are aluminum so they will never rust. I was worried the bowls would not be big enough, but they are and the water bowl is bigger [deeper] than the food bowl. After a few feedings we found filling the water and food bowls 2/3's or less also greatly reduced the mess too. The food bowl holds more than our dog eats at one time, since we have only one dog the food bowl always has food in it. The bowls are easily removable since there is a cutout on the holder to put your finger in to remove each bowl. I highly recommend you give this "Neater Feeder " a try, if you are tried of cleaning up that area when your dog eats or drinks it worth it. It's nice not to have to clean up this area every time we walk into the kitchen or have people over. ... show more

I was looking for a space saving cat feeding station for Keekles, as I kept tripping over my current set-up. I was seriously wondering if she would accept the new one (those of you with cats must know that cats are among the arch-conservatives of the animal kingdom), but much to my surprise she took to it like a duck to water. Something about it seemed reassuring, I think. Like maybe that I wouldn't fumble into it while she was trying to eat!. Anyway, it's also sturdy, well-made, well-sized and very easy to clean. However, it could be a little higher for my Giant Schnauzer and I wouldn't be mad if it looked a little nice than the heavy plastic look. I've been trying a few different dog feeders for my senior dog with poor vision. I needed a solution that was less stressful for both of us and so far this design is a WINNER. I wanted the high back / elevated design to discourage her from 'stepping on' the feeder on accident and confusion. Also, with the high sides to encourage her to find her way to the front of the feeder versus the sides. AND... an enclosed bottom/front portion to prevent nudging/tipping the whole thing over on accident. The spill tray is also a win for water that splashes or kibble that drops. This is very smart design, thank you! My only con is the use of metal bowls. They are very lightweight (and deep) and I wanted the feeder to be as stationary as possible. So I simply re-used my existing ceramic bowls to add weight and make the food/water less deep (included photo shows my own ceramic bowls resting in the included metal bowls). My dog is 12 lbs and I purchased the medium size. It's the perfect height for her and keeps everything stationary. She caught onto it quickly. One side note about the stainless steel bowls, one bowl came with what appeared to be black grease around the rim of the bowl. It took some significant rubbing to finally remove it all and then I ran them both through the dishwasher. At first I thought the bowl was used, but it must have been grease or residue from the manufacturing process that hadn't been removed before packaging. If you receive something similar, please note it will come off but you have to rub with a towel for awhile. The item arrived in its own branded/retail shipping box. I highly recommend this style of feeder to lower the stress levels of both YOU and your pet! :) ... show more

Kitty uses it. Only took a few days to get used to it. it does seem to catch the mess. Easy to snap together for use & take apart for cleaning. The feeder is stable & feet don’t slide. Overall seems like a good purchase.
