I would have given 5 stars, except that one of the bowls came with a slightly faulty screw. Other than that, they are purrfect! I use them on my cats’ kennels, as all of my cats are kennel trained, and they work wonderfully as water bowls. They’re easy to attach and remove, and lightweight enough that they don’t weigh down the kennel. The only minor drawback is that they need to be tightened a bit more frequently than expected—I usually have to adjust them every few days. Bought these bowls to fit into the cage we got for our little rescue kitten. He kept tipping over his other bowls and since these are connected to the cage rail, it solved the problem! These fit on one side the cage with the twist-on cap going on the other side & adjusted till it's a snug fit. It literally took less than 3 minutes from opening to the finished installation. It's sturdy and so far, has been spill proof! I really didn't care what colors I used but since it's a male kitten, I went with the more neutral colors. He doesn't seem to mind either but we're happy with the design, color and workability of these little bowls. Plus, since the metal bowls are removable, clean-up is a piece of cake. ... show more

    • Best flip-proof guinea pig food bowls I found when used with magnets.

I use 4 of these for my guinea pigs. They had kept flipping their old food bowls constantly, resulting in frequently lost dry food. So I decided to give these a chance. Oddly enough, my guinea pigs adore these food bowls. They rest their front feet on top of the bowl and just stay there for a while eating comfortably. The bowl is metal but they don't chew on it. The rest they can reach is all plastic and they ignore that. One thing I realized early on is that the metal bowl, being removable, was not the most stable surface for a guinea pig to rest on and they could still partially lift those bowls. So I purchased some flat neodymium magnets with adhesive to place between the bowls and bases. The bowls no longer shift at all unless I remove them. The only concern is making sure that anxious guinea pig feet don't get accidentally caught between the bowl and base when I give them their food, but so far that has not happened. Some hay has gotten into a couple of the magnets' adhesive and diminished the bond, but it was easy enough to apply new adhesive tape. Overall these are fantastic food trays for my purpose and I would recommend them to anyone who is tired of guinea pigs flipping bowls and who is willing to go out of their way to apply magnets so that the trays work right. ... show more

These are really cute but one good whack in the crate and they're knocked off the sides. This is definitely better for a dog who doesn't move around a lot in their crate.
